Some scenes seem to drag on way too much. I'm not sure if I liked the episode or not.
Some scenes seem to drag on way too much. I'm not sure if I liked the episode or not.
Too much bullshit with Andrea and that girl in the woods (her mother was so stereotypical and whiny, its not like we haven't seen that kind of character a million times over).
..that means they can smell you.
No it doesn't. If they could smell you then they would have noticed them under the cars. Kirkman have said it himself that the walkers sort humans out from other walkers by noticing that they don't smell dead. They're not fucking bloodhounds.
Yeah but being able to distinguish between the zombie or non-zombie smell then they have to have the sense of smell to begin with, that is what he was pointing out

Visually, they can see that you are different, by smell they can completely know that you are not dead. The smell of rotting flesh is familiar to them, living flesh is not.
It's because the smell of a rotting corpse is a lot more pungent that the smell of live humans. Basically if they look at a human and notice they don't smell rotten and pungent with ammonia, they'll go after them for a taste. If there are humans hiding around somewhere, and they dont smell anything, there wont be any reason to assume there's someone alive around.
I wasn't very impressed with this season premiere compared to last seasons
There isn't a single likeable female character in this show IMO.
There isn't a single likeable female character in this show IMO.
They all seem to be whiny bitches at the moment. Hopefully Michonne shows up this season.
There isn't a single likeable female character in this show IMO.
You're not meant to like Lori, and Carol is clearly still recovering from her abusive relationship with Ed, so it's understandable that they're not intended to connect entirely with the audience. I actually quite like Andrea; she seems like one of the more sane and pragmatic characters. Oh, and Maggie shows up next episode; she's written to be very likeable in the books.

They way he worded was basically 'They can smell you, but I'm not admitting to it.' Calm down.
I don't understand why Rick AND the kid didn't hide in that river bank. From the zombies' angle, they'd never see either of them. Rick could have waited till the zombies wandered away and then the two of them could have walked back.
Zombie survival 101: never back yourself into a corner. The zombies were in pursuit mode, there's no guarantee they would have gotten to the creek bank and just given up and wandered off. They could have kept right on going and fallen into the creek, and as they're getting up, notice Rick and Sophia hiding right there. Hiding in that little nook means Rick can't maneuver to fight them, so he would need to shoot them, which then draws the attention of the herd.
Anyone else think they got Dale and Glen down-pat? Seriously that's how I imagined their voices etc in the comic.
Anyone else think they got Dale and Glen down-pat? Seriously that's how I imagined their voices etc in the comic.
I think they did all the casting pretty spot on, everybody is exactly how I imagined them in the books. More or less, anyway.
everyone in this show is so whiny and dumb i dont care about a dumb little kid that couldn't follow a simple order, or her whiny mother. or andrea. especially not andrea. the main character (rick?) and his wife are okay i guess but nothing too likable. hence how i cant remember their names.
Jesus christ, have you even read the books? [sp]tries to kill herself, then asks Lori to have a three-way with Rick[/sp] She has to go batshit crazy eventually.
I would've got in on that, end of the world n all.
Dunno what to think about the new episode. Pretty ok, but very slow paced. Also, the whole jesus-schmeezus thing was a bit strange. I mean, Jesus plays for the other team.
Jesus christ, have you even read the books? [sp]tries to kill herself, then asks Lori to have a three-way with Rick[/sp] She has to go batshit crazy eventually.
You're mixing Andrea up with Carol, Sophia's mother. http://walkingdead.wikia.com/wiki/Carol
I keep confusing those two.
On the plus side, when Dale [sp]dies, they'll be able to have someone with better vision be lookout[/sp]
On the plus side, when Dale [sp]dies, they'll be able to have someone with better vision be lookout[/sp]
And he has a pretty insane and awesome death. "Tainted meat!"
Carol was hot in the comics, why did they turn her into basically Donna for the show? I hate how they make a huge deal out of Andrea's attempted suicide, especially because it never happened in the comic. I really hope the writers don't tell us Michonne was that chick that did stay at the CDC.

I love the way Carol [sp]dies in the comics, it's so fucking twisted.[/sp]
The episode is now online, for those of you itching to watch it again. Also, [sp]I hope they stick with Dale's death like it happened in the comics, because Jeff DeMunn would make it that awesome.[/sp]
I love the way Carol [sp]dies in the comics, it's so fucking twisted.[/sp]
Jessie Anderson's [sp]death is probably my favorite. When Rick has to cut off her hand to save Carl and then finds her completely torn apart and reanimated[/sp] Spoiler: http://images4.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb20110521212408/walkingdead/images/b/b4/Prv8741_pg4.jpg

I really hope the writers don't tell us Michonne was that chick that did stay at the CDC.
No. God no. The filler character that was killed off at the CDC was named Jacqui. Michonne sure as fuck better not be like Jacqui at all. Also fuck T-Dogg. I just dislike him as a character. He's the only surviving filler left besides Daryl, and I was really hoping that wound in the premiere would kill him off. But noooo they had to make Daryl a more likable filler character by making him do cool things to save T-Dogg. T-Dogg, like Jacqui, better not fucking come back as a canon character. Fuck you, AMC, if you turn T-Dogg into Tyreese. Fuck you. [sp]ALSO FUCKING DIE ALREADY SHANE FUCK AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA[/sp]
why all the hate on T-Dog, sure he's not exciting and he's got the dumbest name in human history, but he's not that bad of a character. I don't get the want for [sp]Shane to die either.[/sp] Shane's great in the tv show, I'm glad they're [sp]keeping him around[/sp], he's really interesting and it's hard for me to not feel kind of bad for him. Plus if they do go the [sp]Carl killing him route, it'll just make it more potent when Shane and his relationship with Carl are better developed.[/sp]
