So Matt Smiths FINAL episode is going to be on the Series 8 set instead? Obviously it will get a solo release like all the specials, but it's not on the series 7 box so it moves to the series 8 one instead?
That's weird. You've now got a Series 8 box set with a new doctor, and one episode from the last Doctor who would've left a year ago. Do you put both on the cover? One only has one episode though.
Unless the Christmas Special hasn't got Matt in at all so nicely fits on the Series 8 box set.

Oh I heard a few months back, the only reason the 50th isn't on the Series 8 box is because they wouldn't have been able to capitalise on the Christmas sales.

Home Entertainment stated that 'The Doctor, The Widow and The Wardrobe' would not be included on the complete box set - but that seems to have been either lied about or turned around for completionists.
The Anniversary special and the Christmas special will [b]probably[/b] be bundled together. Like "The Waters of Mars" and "The End of Time" got released separately as the "winter specials" alongside the "complete specials" set.

Let us hope so. But it would probably be very odd IMO to include the 50th in the Series 8 set anyway.
They probably will but I really think the 50th should be a solo release. Having another episode with it takes off the shine a bit.
Plus it's already over 60 minutes long at least and will have a ton of bonus features. The price of that now it'll include an additional episode is gonna creep up.
I hope it's at least 90 minutes, because that's the length of a two parter.
I feel like the 50th anniversary special should be longer than a two parter, though.
