It's nothing new to worry about. It's good news if anything. Instead of "Oh shit we're all gonna die" it's "Well the BBC recognised people are enjoying the show less and taking steps to stop that happening again". This would be a much worse rumour if it was "the scripts are done, they're lackluster, we can't fix them now it's too late, everybody is pissed off and upset, Matt might leave" like it was at the start of series 7.

It's why the BBC want everybody involved to keep playing happy families in the public eye. It was once a tight family unit where you looked after your co-workers like family. If you want to know how different it is now just look at the 50th. None of the confidential guys were asked back to film the behind the scenes bit, not a single one was even asked, they went with somebody else. Some family.

I have a tendency to believe what I have reason to believe to be true. Eight years on and I still can't say why Christopher Eccleston left the show. Was it the BBC? Was it the production team? Was it John Barrowman waving body parts around on set? Who knows, maybe I'll still be asking why Caroline Skinner left the show in eight years. Was it because she was ERASED FROM DOCTOR WHO!!! Or something which wasn't that?
I'm constantly told how everyone and their dog didn't like Series 7. I did enjoy it. Really enjoy it. I would only be concerned if the show was at risk with everyone else not enjoying it. But it isn't. It's still on top form and is coming back for more. That's perfectly fine by me.
Everyone who I used to watch it with, and have known to watch it, still does. Does that mean that the show is actually better than it ever has been? It's hardly compelling guesswork.
Also, there is no due date outside of production. They have not said on what date Series 8 will air. They don't have to. They don't need to. They have internal deadlines - they can shift.
Here's something to get your hopes up for a moment.

Most will be commenting on the BT adverts which he is no doubt most famous. But they'll be unfair and constantly hating for a few years. Matt has only [I]just[/I] been accepted by the majority.
The other down side of the BT adverts is how they'll be used to bellitle the show if the writing is ever shoddy. I've already seen "they should bring the BT advert writers on-board as their sense of humour and character development is equal to that of Moffat Who".
Which I felt ashamed for laughing at.

Looks swanky, but the sonic remote control costs like £60 by itself. This box set is going to be ridiculously expensive.
