If Daniel Rigby is confirmed as being the next Doctor, I give it about fifteen seconds before some journalist makes a BT / Phone Box joke.
They should get Matt Smith to sell Sky Broadband and Eccleston to sell O2.
Then all the Nu Who Doctors have sold Broadband. I remember after The Rings of Akhaten a child said to a GB-poster "I think I like David Tennants Virgin adverts more"

AMAZING interview with Troughton, Pertwee, and Davison.
It was for the 20th anniversary. Troughton/Pertwee have a dynamite chemistry. They don't give a shit they should only speak one at a time.
No it is not Daniel Rigby.
I spoke to his management today and the reply was something like this : "It is just a rumour I’m afraid."
Of course they would not disclose it if he had been cast. But I am sure they would not categorically deny it. Therefore, I am certain it is not Daniel Rigby.
- Some guy
I still think it's him
[editline]18th July 2013[/editline]
Outpost Skaro still says Damien Molony met with Moffat last month and was in talks for the role. So choose to believe who you want.
Basically if you're a moderately successful actor whose name begins with D you're in the running for Doctor Who.
I'm still hoping it'll be Dominic Cooper after his name leaked out a while back
Have no problem at all with Rigby though
Reminds me of this. Made it for the thread a few years ago, cannot for the life of me remember the context:

Could the context have been "Duck Pond"?
Could the context have been "Duck Pond"?
Perhaps it's River Swan?
"Then how do you know it's a duck-Pond?"

That's not a duck face. That's Blue Steel.

In all seriousness though, that is a terrible comic.
Yeah it's really different. Surprised you never noticed. I remember when the new TARDIS was first revealed everybody objected to how fat and bright it was. "Doctor Cunt and the Technicolour TARDIS" is still my favourite thing ever posted in this thread.
I found this, why does the 1970s one have a flat roof?
They felt like it. They hadn't used the TARDIS for a few years at that point, probably forgot what it looked like.
The Doctor must come to terms with the fact he is a fictional character.
-sigh- No. That's not the way you should handle the idea.
We don't know if there are parallel universes out there. For all we know, everything we believe to be fictional can just be representations of parallel universes, which show creators saw thanks top images from the other realities bleeding into ours.
Being fictional somewhere does not make you fictional everywhere. It just makes it so the public's idea of you is that you are a fictional character.
If the multiverse is true, somewhere out there we're all fictional characters.
An author is writing me, writing that, right now. Now he's stopping and thinking "oh shit" as he realises that somewhere his fictional creation is real and he isn't. You best be afraid Mr. Author Man. Because with an infinite amount of universes you can guarantee there is one where we meet, and I've got some complaints about what you've been writing so far.
[editline]19th July 2013[/editline]
please don't kill me off though
and somewhere out there i'm writing you
i can already think of how you will die...
[editline]19th July 2013[/editline]
not like you'd have any chance in a 1v1 fist fight with moffat.
Sherlock series 3 panel at comic con had a teaser. But Moffat told them to tell nobody and not film it or describe it.
Let's hope they don't do the same for Doctor Who Sunday.

New BBC Baker interview.
Obviously only a snippet of a larger one. But that man can talk.
Tom Baker has such a velvety voice. It's sublime.

"I met Peter and Tom Baker" - Matt Smith
Is it me or does that chuckle after he says Tom Baker seem very suspicious? Like he's thinking "Oh I've said too much but if I keep talking nobody will notice".
The two have never met publicly (such as conventions)
[SUB]Best part of this video is Kit staying in character as Jon Snow in public. Oh wait he just pulls that face all the time anyway nevermind.[/SUB]
was that panel entitled "a nerds wet dream"

- Paul McGann on Twitter when asked if he's involved in the 50th special.

And a fake image (I think) to go with it.
I really want Paul to be in the special.
Even if it's just a quick regen scene
When somebody asked him if he was in the 50th he gave the bible quote. When somebody showed him the fake picture he said: "Now that's just silly"
Oh Paul. You're not very good at keeping BBC secrets, but I don't think you care.
[editline]19th July 2013[/editline]
A super reliable dude who only posts when he's certain on the 8th Doctor Regen Scene rumours:
I was always led to believe it was shot as part of the special, which I guess would put it in context to where or who he is.
So possibly no prequel. But Paul has 100% done his regeneration scene, I guarantee it.
Some rumbles of Christmas being the big multiple-doctor returning-actor extravaganza. Some dude said he heard it from a "100% reliable" source but eh.
So an educated guess would be that he regenerates 8 to hurt. Assuming that it's not a timelord/incarnation of The Doctor that is somehow derived from, but not THE Doctor. But that's wrong.
Guess that's about all they can do if Chris didn't get over himself smiling on camera yet... Well chaps, at least we got out 8th regeneration.
I think no matter what we hear, it's important to wait till November 24th before claiming we know anything. Some people have said ALL Doctors are in it, some say they're not. Some say Chris had a major role replaced by Hurt, some say he had a minor role replaced by Rose.
Who knows.

Where have I heard that before. I read a story, I don't know what it was, but it was that exact concept.

For anyone who can stand watching the sick, twisted bastard who has driven every writer and producer in the world away from working on one of the most popular shows on television and is responsible for the departure of the eleventh doctor, ruining the 50th anniversary and pissing all over the show's history - the man the BBC would love to get rid of, but can't because of that other show he plays a role in creating.
For those that don't engross themselves in GallifreyBase and Outpost Skaro rumours, it's Executive Producer Steven Moffat, everybody!
