You're all quite welcome, the 3 other parts are easy to find.

For anyone who can stand watching the sick, twisted bastard who has driven every writer and producer in the world away from working on one of the most popular shows on television and is responsible for the departure of the eleventh doctor, ruining the 50th anniversary and pissing all over the show's history - the man the BBC would love to get rid of, but can't because of that other show he plays a role in creating.
For those that don't engross themselves in GallifreyBase and Outpost Skaro rumours, it's Executive Producer Steven Moffat, everybody!
I'm sorry but posts like this are the reason i rarely post in this thread anymore

I think you're totally exaggerating.
Nobody is acting like he's that bad, and everybody is taking the rumours with grains of salt. Even if people do buy into the rumours they haven't let it tarnish the enjoyment of his writing.

the waiter was familiar with stories to share
if anything I could say this guy's acting I can't bear
But I thought "naw forget it- he's from Fresh Prince of Bel Air!"

Don't be silly, you're still part of the thread gang. You bring us the news and decent video content. Plus your optimism has stopped me from believing every single thing I read on the net. We all annoy eachother at times, it's the internet, it's allowed.
Jesus that was you Grizz, I couldn't recognise you with that face!
Then allow me to free you all from them.
wow way to chuck a wobbly
that post was really stupid - nobody actually believes that, we're just all cautiously cynical. i personally believe that small portions of the rumours are true, but highly exaggerated.
Then allow me to free you all from them.
lol dude i still like you and want you to post in this thread
I'm not criticising you as a poster you are by no means the only person who makes posts like that I just don't like them as a whole
I don't think the people in this thread have a right to criticise the showrunner because of mistakes made in his personal life no matter how much we think is at stake
honestly hearing rumours about all that sort of thing just leaves a very bad taste in my mouth
The point was Teacup is Grizz wasn't criticising the showrunner, she was being sarcastic.
Tbh, you don't have to read these rumours to notice a difference in the quality of the show. Just by comparing Series 5 to Series 7, you can see there has been a decline in quality. We can argue how much of this is due to Moffat or other factors, but it is inarguable that it is at least partly down to Moffat. I don't think people have become cynical about the show and Moffat without reason.
In my opinion, it is impossible to showrun such two huge shows without compromising the quality of at least one of them. That simple. There is good reason why RTD only was exec producer on both Torchwood and SJA - there isn't enough time in the day.
Grizz, your post was the definition of hyperbole. It's pretty embarrassing
He's made a lot of decisions I don't agree with. The series split, the loss of two parters, and the scripts being too familiar and too rushed to conclusion. The first two seem to be his attempt to put his own stamp on the show, there was nothing wrong with the RTD formula.
I don't think anybody here thinks he's going to "piss all over the anniversary". That sort of self entitlement from fans is exclusive to Digital Spy and Gallifrey Base which is why I only ever visit the spoiler thread and skim it. The McGann rumour (which is getting some more momentum) is probably the greatest thing I've heard if true. I've always thought now is the best time to handle that regeneration and somehow incorporate it into the story. The docu-drama is cool. The alleged unannounced stuff is cool. The cancelled stuff looks cool, such as the animated series. I can't begin to dream of what was better than the animated series to warrant it not being continued. The fact we'll be able to watch Doctor Who in a cinema is cool. Zygons coming back is cool. The Name of the Doctor was cool.
I think the most important thing to remember about the "the Series 8 scripts are so bad" rumour is The Christmas Special isn't even written yet. Why the hell would they have completed Series 8 scripts if Christmas isn't done? It's bullshit. The source of this is Mr F who claims to double check all his stuff with TDT, but other than the stuff he directly reposts from TDT, there's no evidence of that. I shouldn't give him the time of day but a lot of people in the fandom respect his intel and he's apparently been a gold mine of info in the past so I post it here. I won't be in the future.
But yeah Grizz went a bit fanrage-y. It was embarrassing. But at the same time the enthusiasm for the show is what we expect from Grizz anyway. One of the better posters. I'll miss seeing the animated JLC icon around. And I feel bad because I really shouldn't be posting the bullshitty gossip anyway.
The anniversary is the least likely to be crap. Moffat and the BBC would have to be so stupid not have had planned it a couple of years in advance. We may well cry out about it, but it is pretty much guaranteed to be fine. We all just care a lot.
Shit got all into character drama territory this last page. How about we all relax and remember that we're all fat 40 year old men hoping for some webcam action and calm down again?

Some forms of speculation are really cool, like I like all the guessing about who would be the next doctor, its exciting to pull up all these different actors and see what they've done and whether they'd be good at it
but I don't like speculation about Moffat and Skinner or his dramas with the BBC, it seems to me we spend a lot of time engaging in the same sort of bullshit gallifrey base and other sites do.
doctor who is meant to be a show with a certain magic to it and I'm finding that the constant digging up of dirty secrets is really ruining the experience and anticipation of future doctor who episodes for me.

It's hard to explain isn't it? Every line, every look, every step. It's all completely fantastic. I've never seen a performance of any role quite like it. At no point do you think "oh this guy's a good actor", it doesn't really occur to you he's an actor. You just think "what an amazing Doctor".
Tom Baker isn't even a good actor by his own admission, but somehow it works better than any other actor in the role. You can see him laying the groundwork for all future Doctors. They either embrace him and take elements of his performance on-board, or try desperately hard to be different from him. Either way you can tell he's on their mind. He will be immortal thanks to Who, every actor who takes on the role mentions him. I love all The Doctors but Tom is the only one where you're not fully aware you're watching a performance.
It's so well written too. He comes across as a magical uncle. It's how every child imagines they will be when the grow up; smart, funny, brave, and still playing games/with toys. Despite those moments when he acts utterly childish and silly, at no point do you doubt he is hundreds of years old and the safest most intelligent man in the universe. But at the same time when he's in danger you genuinely worry for him. He does this all while looking like it's perfectly natural. Maybe because he wasn't really acting and just being a louder version of himself. But it works.
I have no idea what the word is I'm trying to find the sums all this up. I think the best is probably 'effortless'.
Tom Baker. The Fourth Doctor. Beautifully effortless.
I don't usually enjoy the older series, but Tom is just, I dunno. Everything is just perfect, it all just works

The Moffat/Skinner thing is confirmed fake. It was made by some attention seeking bitch. Sure, he gave her a right telling. But there was never any sort of affair. Just the shouting match. At the end of the day that's TV. I'm sure the classic series showrunners have darker stories (other than the child rape, obviously). One thing you quickly learn in any environment with big camera equipment and hierarchy is that people are fucking horrible. TV is the worst.
lmao karen gillan is playing nebula in some upcoming marvel movie

We all do dear
"where did you first hear there was an opening?"
"For Who?" (Meaning Doctor Who)
"For all of you"
Genius. Not sure if Fillion did it intentionally but I will pretend he did because he's awesome.
Also Smith auditioned for Freshmeat!? Nice.

I thought it was cooler seeing the Doctor in the same room as Malcolm Reynolds.
Also, the fact that Moffat didn't outright say that he'd never consider making a Doctor Who / Firefly crossover. That would be a pretty cool lil' ten minute special in the vein of Space/Time and Time Crash. The TARDIS appearing in Serenity...
