Meanwhile, in York
wait WHAT so THAT'S what that was god damn i walked past that on the way to work today, and yesterday while they were setting it up I hope it's there tomorrow
It's the other show Jenna is filming. I knew if I waited Grizz would bring us pictures.
I'll head in early tomorrow and try to get some pictures if you like.
Please try! :D http://www.doctorwho.tv/whats-new/article/scream-of-the-shalka-dvd-contents-and-cover-announced Coming to DVD soon. Details in the link above. They should've got Richard E Grant to play The Missing Doctor between 8-9. Then this would be canon again.
and also the name of the doctor would have made utterly no sense

GOD DAMNIT I THOUGHT THE TRAILER WAS RELEASED
Use of Two Steps was very predictable.
GOD DAMNIT I THOUGHT THE TRAILER WAS RELEASED
It won't be. Sorry. We're getting our own one at the end of August apparently.
Could've maybe used one or two clips of McGann, but that was indeed quite good.
To be fair, that would have been cheating as it's more of an accurate teaser of the Time War than a 'what-if' piece. We know more about John Hurt's role in the Time War in two months than McGann's in 17 years. :v:

That fan trailer was kickass [editline]30th July 2013[/editline] thinking of doing some more vfx doctor who stuff again... always wanted to do a battle between time lords and daleks on gallifrey. not sure what kind of weapons the timelords would use though.

It use to have some kind of pyramid where the TARDIS is now (based on Mark of the Rani's appearance of the titular Time Lady's, I think.)
That fan trailer really puts s1-7 in perspective. Especially 9 and 10. So much regret and pain. I always thought 11 "forgot" that part, but woop-te-do, he's got all of two lines referencing it since s05. BUt that trailer really spun the special as if it could be a series ender. If that'd been official, minds would be blown.
GOD DAMNIT I THOUGHT THE TRAILER WAS RELEASED
I'm assuming that means you thought the episode's name was 'The Last Great Timewar'? The begs the question, considering that isn't the real trailer - what do you guys think the episode will be called?

RTD set quite a bold bar for future showrunners by having The Doctor be the one to have killed his own people. But hey, just when it was said Moffat was ignoring all that stuff, it becomes a part of what is to be the most hyped up television event of the year. Apart from Breaking Bad. and William & Kate leaving a building.

Sorry if this has been posted before, just showed up on my Facebook news feed
That trailer was great; it really pieced the moments that are truly essential to understanding the character together. Things like the Tenth Doctor explaining why he had to Time-lock the War are barely even glazed upon again but this trailer makes it feel like there hasn't been three series since it was last mentioned. It makes it seamless and powerful.
“When you first saw Star Wars, and that really exciting moment where they were--when Obi Wan Kenobi said “Aaaaah, the Clone Wars...” and your little child brain went “Whoa, that must be fantastic, there’s millions of clones, all identical, they were grown in vats... there’s new clones, old clones, clones falling from trees--brilliant!” Then they showed us, and it was a bunch of meetings... You can’t ever live up to something like that, can you? Some things are best being myths, and [the time war] has become a new part of the myth” - Steven Moffat [editline]31st July 2013[/editline] "Then they showed us, and it was a bunch of meetings..." Dunno if this has been posted before but this is a pretty good fan made soundtrack:
it's perfect
Murray already said it will be this. Think he said it in that radio interview. He pointed out 9 & 10 had the same track though 10's was mixed with some of his signature music.
Well it'll be different, 10 was extremely different sounding at least, even if it was the same track. Besides, remade with an orchestra properly I assume. I hope a version of I Am The Doctor is mixed in. [editline]31st July 2013[/editline] oh oh, or a completely new song
Curious. The odds for Peter Capaldi being 12 have shot up... despite no recent online speculation/leak suggesting it's him. A guy who runs Outpost Skaro claims there's an announcement of some kind Sunday that will send everybody into a frenzy. He also posted a picture of Capaldi with a Dalek a bit later. Outpost Skaro are usually always wrong and attention seekers so let's not worry about that. The odds thing is interesting though. Possibly just wishful thinking?
Earlier this year I met Capaldi on the set of An Adventure in Space and Time, the forthcoming drama about Doctor Who's inception. He is friends with Mark Gatiss and had taken time out of his schedule to visit the studios in Wimbledon. We chatted briefly while watching scenes being filmed on, let's just say, a historical setting, and on the lovingly recreated Tardis set. We were both thrilled at what we saw and I could see then that he remains as big a fan today as he was four decades ago. Joe Crilly, a spokesperson for William Hill, said: “Peter Capaldi was not even in our list a few days ago but he has been the subject of a lot of betting interest recently and this gamble would suggest that if he does not have the part already, he is almost certainly on the shortlist.”
http://www.independent.co.uk/arts-en...d-8738402.html UHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
I don't know if my body could handle Tucker being the Doctor.
It's undeniably odd how he has shot up. Daniel Rigby didn't after the rumours from all those "trusted" sources. Though the same sources had said he was yet to sign. I would say it's now between these two. It could be a distraction thrown in by the BBC but it's very odd.
