So it's possible we're getting the mini-sode or the announcement of the mini-sode on Sunday? Interesting. I don't wanna get my hopes up to much but I'm starting to feel the hype haha.
Outpost Skaro are the guys who get things wrong all the time, right? They tweeted that picture of McGann, but they also tweeted big [sp]Omega[/sp] hints, and that picture of [/sp]the TARDIS exploding, the one that Van Gogh did.[/sp] So I guess they're saying [sp]Omega did it,[/sp] and that'll be part of the 50th or whatever.
Isn't Outpost Skaro like 50/50 a lot of the time? Didn't they predict the Name of the Doctor ending before even the DVDs were out?
Isn't Outpost Skaro like 50/50 a lot of the time? Didn't they predict the Name of the Doctor ending before even the DVDs were out?
They did a huge post on their forum (before disabling it) about how people keep saying they've got things wrong when they haven't. They said the two mistakes people bring up most often are "Sean Pertwee as 11" and "Patterson Joseph as 11". They went on to defend both, saying Pertwee was never them, it was an interview they did with him that was taken out of context. They said Joseph was based on a picture they saw of him next to the TARDIS. Then they defended saying Damien Molony was 12, pointing out they never said he was 12. They just heard he had met with Moffat. Then somebody mentioned the missing episodes and they said that they got confirmation the last few days there are returned episodes at the BBC right now but an announcement will take time. Then they posted a list of all the hints they gave in the past and it was impressive. I can't remember any of them now but it personally has restored my faith enough to try them one last time. For the record, they say it's not Rigby.
Well then. Fingers crossed! :v:
hurr Thought it looked a bit like McGann. A quick google image and yep [sp]probably got it because I've been watching a lot of Luther recently[/sp]
Well, with that correlaiton found... 8 HYPE COMMENCE AGAIN (I watch TF2's Major Update Speculation Thread, I'll be prepared if this turns out to be a bust)
But if we're being serious, by the 100th (if we get there) there will probably REALLY realistic cgi or a really advanced version of what we saw in Name of the Doctor. They might only need his voice. :D
considering the tech jump from the 80s to now, I figure this will be true actually, and to be perfectly honest, people will be able to imitate the voices if not synthesize because, I mean come on, who is going to be able to tell a good imitation from a 50 year old episode?
If John Culshaw's still around in fifty years, he could pull it off: wait shit he'd be 95 in 2063, nevermind

So Outpost Skaro was right. It IS revealing 12 on Sunday.. Which means it's Peter Capaldi?!
Oh my. This is exciting.
Oh wow, terrible cover up by Digital Spy. So Outpost Skaro was right. It IS revealing 12 on Sunday.. Which means it's Peter Capaldi?!
Dude... I want Rigby, not this bloke
Another thing to consider: all reliable sources insist this was planned for the end of August. If it's been brought forward it's down to a leak. The name is out there.
I dont want capaldi more than I didn't want daniels. Rigby pls.
but wait outpost skaro also linked to paul mcgann to?
Imagine a complete (COMPLETE) unknown being unveiled live. More than likely one of the names already out there. Poor show by Metro - another announcement ( of an announcement ) leaked by the press.
I'd like to point out until one or two days before Matt Smith was revealed his odds were 33/1. It's completely possible we don't know anything yet. He wasn't even the favourite, only going to 10/1 up until the actual reveal.
I honestly don't give a shit if it's Capaldi or Rigby. Both will be great. BUT I would prefer to see Capaldi because he is a massive Doctor Who fan and Malcolm Tucker exists. I would say it's Rigby, Maloney, or Capaldi. I'd like Capaldi most because he breaks the mold of the last two Doctors. (PS we get trailers for the 50th and Time and Space) [editline]1st August 2013[/editline] Once upon a time a 15 year old boy would constantly write into the BBC production team asking them about Doctor Who. He built up a rapport with show writer Barry Letts who would send him scripts. These scripts inspired him to become an actor and now 40 years later he is an award winning actor. He is now rumoured to be in the running for the 12th Doctor. At the same time these rumours start, his letter to the radio times 40 years ago mysteriously resurfaces after rumours start building around him. Just curious how the press is pushing Peter Capaldi as the best choice suddenly isn't it? But to avoid disappointment I'm still betting on Rigby.
(PS we get trailers for the 50th and Time and Space)
sauce? Also I want it to be none of them. I want someone completely random nobody has ever heard of. :D
Also BBC has big balls to reveal the new Doctor infront of a studio audience. It must be a recognised name. If Rigby came out there would be boos because of the BT ads. If Capaldi came out... [editline]1st August 2013[/editline]
sauce? Also I want it to be none of them. I want someone completely random nobody has ever heard of. :D
Somebody AGES ago said when 12 is revealed in a special live broadcast on the 24th August, we'll get trailers at the same time. Everything has been brought forward.
The studio audience will most likely be random people from around the office haha, or at least def selected people.
Capaldi may get booed because he can't be fangirled over like David and Matt can. It all could go horribly wrong etc It's obvious that it's live because they don't have time to do a proper edited show with interviews and whatnot
Hey, wasn't there supposed to be an one-off theater show with Matt playing the Doctor and Andrew Scott playing Moriarty against Helen Mirren as the Queen?
50th live events - check.
Yeah guess this is the one we heard about months ago. Though possibly a test for the format? [editline]1st August 2013[/editline] Apparently the press release is worth staying up for.

[editline]1st August 2013[/editline] Apparently the press release is worth staying up for.
*insert Dan's new title here* I'll stay up - without expectations of anything more than Doctor Who Live. I suppose everyone in the audience will be in cosplay, then. http://www.radiotimes.com/news/2013-07-26/bbc1-doctor-who-pilot-asks-fans-to-help-celebrate-50-years-of-the-show Sneaky bastards.
Oh yeah it's just what Blogtor Who tweteed. I guess it's no more than what was in The Metro and Digital Spy article but I wasn't going to sleep anyway. [editline]1st August 2013[/editline] I love her.
Right, as a democracy, we should decide on whether Dan should receive a title - I don't mind paying £3. It will be the "utter bollocks" one Rate agree if yay, disagree if nay
