Something I just saw on facebook. Would "The History of the Time War" be written in Gallifreyan? If so, how could Clara read it? Even if the book itself was written in English, surely the Doctor's name would be written in Gallifreyan. THE TARDIS NEVER TRANSLATES GALLIFREYAN. A PLOT IS AHEAD.
His name written in Gallifreyan is δ³Σx² right?
His name written in Gallifreyan is δ³Σx² right?
it's a nickname
it's a nickname
No, that's Theta Sigma, which is written like "ΘΣ".
Just read this little tidbit, some persons guess about how the finale might play out, and I must say, I am impressed. [sp]Asylum of the Daleks introduced two things that haven't been capitalized on yet: One, the last bit of Clara's montra, "...And Remember!". The Second being, The Doctor insisted he was safe from the Dalek Nanoclouds only after he needed to give his protective wristband away, even though he insisted on putting one on in the previous scene: He also said The Dalek Nanoclouds start affecting your memory first. Then later we see Oswald can manipulate all of the Dalek Technology on the planet, so the answer to the riddle that is Clara is.... They're not the same woman at all. The Last thing the original Oswald did was imprint a memory of herself in the Doctor's Brain, which is now causing him to completely perceive random young women as Clara Oswin Oswald.[/sp]
They will need to get around [sp]other characters perceiving the same woman, thus far.[/sp]
They will need to get around [sp]other characters perceiving the same woman, thus far.[/sp]
that's basically why that theory doesn't work. [sp]although no characters have never seen more than one clara, so next week will confirm/deny that[/sp]
[sp]I'm guessing the answer is the theory Clara splinters herself across time. As it makes sense and is very Moffat. Also it's been suggested by two different people. Both gave different details of the same basic outline[/sp]

[sp]And the fact everybody has fucking called her Clara[/sp] [editline]28th April 2013[/editline] None of us have even stopped to consider what Doctor Who might do for Children In Need this year. In the past we've had Time Crash. Nothing stopping other past Doctors returning then. Specially ones that wanted to return but didn't have the time but were close to signing anyway. The sort of actor that insists his time on the show was purely for the Children and is a huge supporter of charity work.
As I said I'd record the Doctor Who mod for Fallout: New Vegas, here it is if anyone's interested (untagged to not clog up the thread in place of actual Doctor Who stuffs) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X73hnI4MTug

And for some reason, it reminds me of that Roleplay forum we had here a while ago.
Oh, that looks cool. It displays messages of what to do to keep the flight stabilized, if you fail to use the right buttons they explode and get damaged - I'd imagine if you end up failing too much you end up crashing completely (you used to in their Fallout 3 mod)

I get one of two scenarios: One, it takes off and the screen shakes and it does that for a bit until I hear the landing sound but the screen keeps shaking and nothing happens. Two,if I reload the save, it takes off but the dematerialization sound just tones and and the screen doesn't shake, so nothing ever happens. I've been struggling for like 2 hours trying to get it past that stage to no avail.

It tells you how to get through the flying minigame once you start it, it took quite a while though before it lands, and it lands automatically.

I've sat down for like 2 minutes and nothing happens. No messages, no minigame. It's those two scenarios, and nothing following it.

Sounds like it might be a problem with that or something, if NVSE is fine: I'd just suggest you go to their forums
I didn't like the episode as a whole. But it had some great scenes. This being one of them. I wish he played The Doctor like this. With moments of whimsy. Series 5 had it nailed. It's almost like he regenerated since then.

I put the files where I was told and I'm launching from the nvse_loader. And I am at their forums, they're not being much help at all. Increasingly giving up on this. :suicide:
This is old but I missed it. Benedict Cumberbatch doesn't want to be in an episode of Doctor Who. He wants to be The Doctor. [editline]28th April 2013[/editline] Isn't it a scientific fact that everybody on the planet wants Benedict Cumberbatch but it always seems like the stuff of legend? Has he got anything major lined up now he's finished his stuff for Hobbit and Star Trek? My heart would melt if he was Doctor 12.
I think Cumberbatch would make a good Doctor, but for some reason I think he'd be better if there was another one between him and Matt Smith. Like, I think it would be better if Smith's replacement was another relatively unknown actor at the time, and then maybe three or four series later, a surprise regeneration into Cumberbatch, completely out of the blue, hopefully without anyone spoiling it beforehand.

Basically the same personality too, just a bit more serious in 7 and different chemistry with new partner Series 6 doctor makes little sense Also I really don't want it to be Cumberbatch, would be too similar

I found a channel on YouTube with all the Confidential episodes. http://www.youtube.com/user/Ippo707 Might have to marathon all of them. I love behind-the-scene stuff like this, but I just never got around to watching the Confidentials.

Watching the recent episode on IPlayer, the intro made me think; it's nice seeing a classic spaceship on Doctor Who. As in, a big chunk of metal with thrusters and stuff. Reminds me a bit of Firefly.
Hey guys, anyone who plays Fallout: New Vegas in here? If you do: I think you'll like this A mod called "Fallout: Who Vegas" literally just released, it's been in development since 2010, if anyone played Fallout 3 and the mod called "Last Child of Gallifrey" - this is the people who made that and brought the TARDIS to the Capital wasteland, and now they've brought (and revamped it) into the Mojave. It's on the Fallout NV Nexus (http://newvegas.nexusmods.com/mods/50132/), next link goes to their development blog with alot more info on it than the Nexus page: http://falloutwho.blogspot.com/ Sorry if this is way off topic, but it's the most fitting place I could think of to spread the word on it :v:
Holy shit, I remember Last Child of Gallifrey!
Watching the first Confidential episode.
"...they shouldn’t have had me in it. They should have had Paul McGann in it, and later on, if the series had been taken up, brought me in to show how it happened. I’m glad I was in it, though. The money was good."
-Sylvester McCoy, about the 1996 movie. :v:
