Boom here we go. First random name of the day:
Alex Macqueen
Somebody says they've seen a picture of his costume fitting. It's priest like.
Good actor. Nice age. Though freaks me out a bit, could never place it. I think it was his voice in The Thick of It. Played The Master once in some audio play.
Priest like? Well he did play a priest in the IT Crowd funnily enough. Maybe this is just riding off of the Chris O'Dowd rumours?

Could equally be riding on the Peter Capaldi rumours

Something brilliantly Doctorish about Peter in this scene.

I like how half of GB have access to insider info and promo images these days. Still waiting on those Ben Daniels pics to leak.
It's wonderful isn't it. Pictures that never appear.
"I know who The Doctor is- I have a picture" is probably the worst line anybody can ever write. It's utterly ineffective. Like trying to prove you've got a big dick by comparing it to the size of your non existent girlfriend's hands.

4 had Jelly Babies. 11 had Jamie Dodgers. 12 can have Curly Wurlys the size of a small ladder.

Ben Daniels says it's not him in the Doctor Who voice over on the trailer. He also mentions in casual conversation that he's not in London for 6 weeks.
Rigby is in Scotland Sunday. But somebody I spoke to said the Cardiff gossip monkeys told him it's still Rigby this morning.
He finds the fact Tennant and Capaldi were spotted together interesting. Could be the BBC picking up the bill and Capaldi and Tennant playing along as they're such big fans.
He still thinks it's Ben Daniels. He was told Daniels even filmed bits for the 50th so finds the bit about him dropping out really odd. Does suggest The Master could be one of the many actors thrown around recently.
I watched this earlier and I thought "Shit, it's the Doctor"

"you'll end up blowing your own fucking stream into your own fucking face"
a very Doctorish line

For a good long laugh.
MTV claims to have leaked scripts confirming Peter as The Doctor (it's a joke)

For every actor you think of, read this script in their voice to see if it works:
THE DOCTOR: Right then, eyesight. Not bad, bit blue. Ears – not pointy, right way up, more or less level. Face – well I’ve got one. Oh, no – French!
CLARA: French
THE DOCTOR: I’ve deleted French! Plus all cookery skills, and the breast stroke. And hopping. Never mind hopping, who needs to hop. Ohh, the kidneys are interesting. Never had that before – interesting kidneys.
CLARA: Are you all right?
THE DOCTOR: I don’t know, do I look all right?
CLARA: I don’t know.
THE DOCTOR: How’s the face? Seems all right from the inside. Nice action, responsive. Bit less heft on the chin. How is it?
CLARA: It’s… okay.
THE DOCTOR: Okay?
CLARA: It’s a bit… you know.
THE DOCTOR: No I don’t, I haven’t seen it yet.
CLARA: Maybe it’s just new.
THE DOCTOR: Have you changed height?
CLARA: No.
THE DOCTOR: You sure?
CLARA: It’s you, your height, you’re the one who’s changed.
THE DOCTOR: And look at your nose.
CLARA: What about my nose?
THE DOCTOR: It was really cute, I loved your nose, you should’ve kept it.
CLARA: I did, it’s the same nose, it’s the same all of me. You’re the one who’s… regenerated, whatever you call it.
THE DOCTOR: Are you wearing a smell?
CLARA: Do you mean perfume?
THE DOCTOR: Yes, I suppose it could be perfume.
CLARA: You’ve always liked that perfume, you said so.
THE DOCTOR: No I didn’t, that was the Doctor.
CLARA: You’re the Doctor.
THE DOCTOR: Yes, I suppose I am. That’s going to take a bit of getting used to.
CLARA: Yeah, it really is.
Daniels doesn't work as well as I hoped. Capaldi works brilliantly. Specially the bits The Doctor starts accidentally throwing insults. Rigby works well too.
Capaldi definitely fits that script. He would definitely be brilliant in the role, so I've got my hopes up.
Actors associated with the production of the 50th or the new episode don't have to be playing the Doctor. High profile actors have appeared as guests, James Corden for example.
There are a lot of names getting thrown around, many of them I think would be good in the role.
Peter Capaldi and Daniel Rigby both stand put for me. Aneurin Barnard (The White queen guy) would also be good.
As much as I like Benedict Cumberbatch I just really hope it's not him. A lesser know actor would be nice.
No matter who it is there will be criticism, just like there was with Matt Smith.
Here's a picture of Capaldi with curly hair:

Just thought you'd be interested.
How disappointed I've made myself be when Capaldi isn't 12.
Though I did think the stars would not align to have JLC in the companion role, either. But this would take a miracle.
What makes Capaldi such a good choice is how different he is from all 11 previous actors. He's the age of Hartnel but with the chirisma of the younger actors. It's almost impossible to imagine how he'll play the role but for some reason (perhaps the twinkle in his eye) we all see him as perfect. Plus he wears scarfs really nicely.
But the trusted (100% 100%) still whisper the name Daniel Rigby. We will know for certain an hour or two before the broadcast. A runner will spot Rigby or Capaldi in the green room and tweet it. Though Rigby is on stage in Edinguburugh during the broadcast. I imagine just to fuck with us Moffst has arranged for Capaldi to be one of the celebrity fans.
Also another betting agency has closed takings after suspicious behaviour around Peter Capaldi. 4 years ago they were closing after odd activity around an actors called Matt Smith.
I really want it to be Capaldi. Really really badly.
Is Rigby really in Scotland? Bit of a pants live reveal if 12 isn't there. Not worth the effort, you might say. Unless they connect with him.
Peter Capaldi is my favourite Doctor already.
Well, time to stay away from this thread (and the internet) until the 50th and make it a surprise, I do hope it would be Capaldi though, its just something about his face that reminds me of Patrick Throughton

You may have to lock yourself in a room to avoid it

I honestly think that might be impossible

You'll have to cut out TV, radio, newspapers & friends to avoid the 12th.

I can already see us reminiscing about the 12th Doctor's reveal when it comes time for the 13th Doctor.

There's something on your avatar. And it isn't JLC. Fix it.

That includes you tho
How many people actually want to find out who it is 100% (like someone sees them in the greenroom) before the show? If it's not that many we could all just swear to not post that sort of stuff if we see it.

That's the... Never mind.

I'd rather find it out today than like an hour before the show tomorrow. I'll need to watch it on iPlayer as well

You've obviously never done this before. You'll hear more about 12 than the show itself.
Guys, if you go to Capaldi's wikipedia page, and go to film. You'll see this.

Now if you switch WHO to the back, it'll be doctor WHO.
Capaldi is the Doctor!
Of course I am just kidding, but man I would love Capaldi as The Doctor.
