Just read this little tidbit, some persons guess about how the finale might play out, and I must say, I am impressed. [sp]Asylum of the Daleks introduced two things that haven't been capitalized on yet: One, the last bit of Clara's montra, "...And Remember!". The Second being, The Doctor insisted he was safe from the Dalek Nanoclouds only after he needed to give his protective wristband away, even though he insisted on putting one on in the previous scene: He also said The Dalek Nanoclouds start affecting your memory first. Then later we see Oswald can manipulate all of the Dalek Technology on the planet, so the answer to the riddle that is Clara is.... They're not the same woman at all. The Last thing the original Oswald did was imprint a memory of herself in the Doctor's Brain, which is now causing him to completely perceive random young women as Clara Oswin Oswald.[/sp]
but what about [sp]victorian clara's grave[/sp]
I found a channel on YouTube with all the Confidential episodes. http://www.youtube.com/user/Ippo707 Might have to marathon all of them. I love behind-the-scene stuff like this, but I just never got around to watching the Confidentials.
Just been watching the one where Matt Smith was announced as the 11th Doctor, my god does he look young on that.
Just watched this weeks episode, it was pretty confusing and no where near as dark as i expected.
http://www.livestream.com/coolcorky So then, I'll be doing one stream per week on the 11 Sundays leading up to the 50th anniversary, and then on the night of the 22nd I'll be doing an all-night "by-request" stream where people watching can just shout out what serial to watch next. Also I'll be doing more streams now and again in the coming weeks. Oh and keep voting for your favourite serials for the anniversary countdown streams: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/18r63sl3AIjcun1Trr93Mfbxz7bmGuFZ032rbcxaISmM/viewform
Oh god, the old doctor in Last of the Time Lords wasn't another actor, it was actually David with a whole ton of makeup. I seriously didn't realize this, it looked so real.
I'm watching the first few Smith episodes and it makes me sad how much more concise and well done the writing is compared to the newer episodes. It feels way more solid
I really would not like Cumberbatch as a new Doctor. It would be so fanservice-y to the tumblr fans that just want "feels" instead of a damn good story that it would make me very sad. I would personally like another older male lead; someone like Eccleston, or McGann.
Yeah I can't see a good Cumberbatch Doctor He's too much of a baby-faced Snape to be your friendly neighbourhood timelord
Serious? If I recall he was CG.
He means the one in the wheelchair, not the really old one in the cage :v:

The story was solid, the ending was great, the mystery didn't end with the same old shit of some alien race trying to kill everything, it established the characters well and dealt with them in a way that was really tight I feel like after that Moffat ran out of ideas and turned to his son and was like "what do you want to do"
Yeah I can't see a good Cumberbatch Doctor He's too much of a baby-faced Snape to be your friendly neighbourhood timelord
Perhaps as the Master, but it would be too similar to his character in that new Star Trek movie
nick cage 4 doctor 12
nick cage 4 doctor 12
sean bean for next doctor
nick cage 4 doctor 12
Nick Cage for the american movie adaptation; Dr. Who! : Universal Mystery Man "There's no time for space" :v: .
sean bean for next doctor
MR. BEAN FOR NEXT DOCTOR. BRING ON ROWAN ATKINSON.
nick cage 4 doctor 12
I read that as 'Nick Cave' at first and actually thought that would be a really cool idea [thumb]http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/f/fc/Nick_Cave_in_New_York_City_2009_portrait_2.jpg[/thumb] though surprisingly, he would be the oldest person to play the doctor (he's 55)
Actually, he'd be the same age as Hartnell.
Nightmare in Silver preview tapes have been released. One person described it as a massive spike in quality compared to the rest of the series and of an almost filmic quality. Also somebody posted this "Hmm...another fun ride with a dodgy ending? Seems to be a lot of that right now (and I say that despite enjoying every episode this year)". No idea what episode they're talking about. [editline]29th April 2013[/editline] Here are some Crimson Horror teasers.
Expect a significantly belated entrance for the Doctor and Clara – enough to let you fantasise that this is the Madam Vastra spin-off show you’ve always wanted. Parts of this look like no episode of Doctor Who you have ever seen. It’s a witty, effective choice by director Saul Metzstein. The Doctor’s in a distinctly kissy mood – including the most swoonsome clinch of his lives. The ol’ romantic. There’s a shamelessly filthy joke involving the sonic. Ladies, avert your eyes! Cockernee tomboy Jenny gets to kick some arris an’ no mistake. The Doctor has a new hat, a brown derby. Brown derbys are cool. There’s an anniversary year shout-out to a past companion. And a classic series catchphrase is heard once more. Boris Karloff. In longjohns. The Doctor briefly gets to be a good, old fashioned boffin, complete with bubbling, smoking jars of mysterious liquid. We’ve missed that. Does the Doctor really resurrect an old Larry Grayson catchphrase? And no, it’s not “Shut that door”… Tone? Queasy, florid, arch, funny. Think “The Unquiet Dead” after it’s knocked back a couple of glasses of Mother’s Ruin.
Somebody says this episode has a couple of 5th Doctor references so I'm guessing the returning catchphrase and companion shout-out is: [sp]"Brave heart Tegan"[/sp]. Possibly reworded to account for Clara. [editline]29th April 2013[/editline] And some more hints. Spoiler tags next to each hint are what they're alluding to:
» Remember the "movie" Wild Wild West? » Somewhere mentioned by The Ninth Doctor in Rose gets a mention, and Strax is wary of it. [sp]The North[/sp] » Matt Smith is channeling a role performed by Benedict Cumberbatch. No, not that one. » 65 million years ago? » The Doctor does a lot of kissing. » Something that happens in ‘The Unicorn and the Wasp’ happens here. [sp]kiss to save a life[/sp] » Fifth Doctor fans will be very happy. Twice. [sp]Brave Heart Tegan[/sp] » Something forbidden in a William Hartnell story is requested here. » Did Strax just meet the inventor of the satnav? » A familiar face or two from ‘The Bells of Saint John’ return. [sp]the two children[/sp] » Clara is faced with an unexpected spot of blackmail.
Actually, something that was bothering me about Hide and a couple of other episodes (Unquiet Dead for example): Are psychics just a thing in the DWU? There never seems to be any explanation for them, just "yeah, this person can read minds". Or am I missing something?
well considering the doctor has psychic paper
When actually was the last time he used psychic paper? Getting a bit tired of the magic-wand-sonic-screwdriver being the only thing he uses.
Hide
When actually was the last time he used psychic paper? Getting a bit tired of the magic-wand-sonic-screwdriver being the only thing he uses.
Last used it in Hide, but I thought that was just a name and it was another timey-wimey timelord gizmo that worked like a perception filter
Generally it's revealed anybody dabbling in the paranormal or claiming to by a psychic is actually somehow perceiving events unfolding in another world, timeline, or universe. Never actually the dead. [editline]29th April 2013[/editline]
Hide
Before that though was probably Series 5 right? I hope Doctor 12 has an instant dislike of the Sonic on the grounds it's "cheating". I'd rather see The Doctor battle Daleks with a kettle and some string. [editline]29th April 2013[/editline] Remember this? Somebody posted this blog post on Gallifrey Base. User banned. Posts deleted. http://whistleblowerfive.blogspot.co.uk/2013_04_01_archive.html The BBC is now operating in Gallifrey Base and banning those who post true rumours.
Trouble In Cardiff I have stayed quiet for too long on this, but as a dedicated fan of Doctor Who I feel it is my duty to inform the world of dear fans out there about the trouble that is not just brewing in South Wales, but about to explode like Vesuvius on Volcano Day. It is with a heavy heart that I say the man that everyone thought would be the saviour of Doctor Who, Steven Moffat, looks like being the man who may actually end it. Moffat's chortling friendliness hides a man with few friends and growing enemies. It masks a man who is tyrannical and ruthless, who is bad tempered and rude. It shields a man who's personal life is as in much disarray as his professional one, but that is not something I will go into here in great detail. The BBC are desperate to keep a hold of Steven Moffat because, whatever the fans and critics say about Doctor Who, he has delivered them huge ratings, and with that he has delivered them huge profits, in merchandise and overseas sales. He's also created another worldwide hit, Sherlock. The problem is that Steven Moffat knows this, and has used it to become almost meglomaniacal in his approach to Executive Production. The result is Cardiff in meltown and the series of Doctor Who floundering on the edge of said volcano. Problems fly around the Production of Doctor Who like a blizzard. Here is what is wrong: An inability to work with the BBC on an executive level, leading to rows with other producers An inappropriate working relationship with Caro Skinner, leading to a public row and her ousting. Senior BBC officials taking a hands on approach to the production after an internal scandal A huge and antagonistic falling out with the series leading man, Matt Smith, about the treatment of former Doctors in preparation of The Anniversary Show. Smith was furious that former Whos were not informed of Moffat's intentions. An intense and paranoid jealousy on Moffat's part on the success of Russell T Davies. Moffat does not have the same carte blanche Davies had on the series franchise - with things like The Sarah Jane Adventures and Torchwood outwith his remit. Moffat's anger at not being allowed to create his own spin off series. Skinner and Moffat's alleged rudeness to Christopher Eccleston's procrastinating which lead to Eccleston refusing to do the Anniversary Show at the eleventh hour (excuse that pun) This will be reflected in the Hurt character Moffat has been offered a position AWAY from Who for the eighth series and has refused to go. The eighth series is ONLY being worked on by Moffat, but NO ONE ELSE including the BBC will commit to it after Christmas. The BBC DO NOT want Moffat to continue. He is refusing to budge. Huge budget cuts in series 5 and 6 meant that Moffat's original plans had to be curtailed half way through production. This lead to confusing story lines and continuation arcs. Big named writers where dumped at the last minute. Moffat directly responsible for the split seasons and, worst, the dumping of EIGHT half written scripts. You may ask yourself why this is important information. It is important because, as of writing, Doctor Who seems unlikely to return in its present form after Christmas. Moffat's plans are not those of the BBC. They may well lose Matt Smith and Jenna Louise Coleman who have committed but on a pro-rata time scale. If these issues cannot be rectified - and soon - Doctor Who may go into a semi-permanent hiatus, and return as a series of TV Movies or extended episodes once every eighteen months. Posted by The Whistleblower
Before you ask. Yes. Reliable. Mainly because the BBC supposedly had it taken down. TLDR: - Moffat was seemingly having an affair with Skinner (uhhh) - BBC can't get rid of Moffat because he'll take Sherlock with him - Smith is leaving because he is furious that past Who actors have been shunted for the 50th - Moffat and Skinner were consistently rude to Eccleston so he dropped out - Moffat refuses to let Who go - The BBC have tried everything to get him out. Offered him other jobs and cut budgets. The cut budgets effected his scripts and story arcs were dropped mid series. - Series 8 has been abandoned by the BBC in an attempt to get rid of Moffat I really don't know if this is to be believed but reliable people have said elements of it are very true. It's also worth noting since Series 6, Moffat and Smith have appeared in less interviews together and spoke less friendly of eachother. Also a reliabled source says the Mirror apparently wrote a lovely piece about RTD the other day, Moffat was furious and demanded they do the same for him. They told him they'd rather do it for RTD again.
*BTS Bombshell Report
...Wow. Never figured Moffat would be the type to "go mad with power", but it could happen to anyone, I guess. ... I don't think I should be panicking yet, though. How often have "reliable" leaks been 100 percent accurate?
I'll try to make this the last spoiler of the day as above is a lot to digest. Another source has come out with these names for the 12th Doctor: [sp]Ben Daniels Stephen Mangan David Threllfall.[/sp] The second time one of those names has popped up ;) [editline]29th April 2013[/editline]
...Wow. Never figured Moffat would be the type to "go mad with power", but it could happen to anyone, I guess. ... I don't think I should be panicking yet, though. How often have "reliable" leaks been 100 percent accurate?
The thing with this one is it's different to any in the past. Usually the leaks are about episode details. A lot of trusted leakers in the Who community (who don't post on GB but browse it purely to see if what they're hearing is confirmed) only ever keep their leaks to a tight circle of friends because they know how wrong sources can be when it comes to TV. Yet they're all coming out of the woodwork to say this blog post has hit the nail on the head. From what I've heard from people who have met Moffat. It sounds very much like him. RTD kept mostly the same producers from start to finish. Producers are quitting on Moffat all the time. Skinner was in a very public row with Moffat before she was suddenly no longer working on Doctor Who. She hasn't posted on Twitter since. [editline]29th April 2013[/editline] It's worth noting GB isn't where I'm hunting most of these spoilers now. I double check to see what is being mentioned there and if it adds up with what I'm hearing. But the BBC is very much in operation at GB. Which is very peculiar. They've never done this. PR teaches you that everything they're doing is wrong. Every time they ban or silence a user it confirms whatever they posted. One could suggest they are very intentionally doing it, along with not running the trailers on TV, and moving the show about in the schedules. It's almost like they're trying to sabotage the show so they have an excuse to take their power hungry showrunner away from Doctor Who yet still keep him for Sherlock.
[sp]Stephen Mangan[/sp] eugh.
Alan Rickman should be the 12th Doctor fuck everyone else.
[sp]Stephen Mangan[/sp] eugh.
All teeth and curls? Oh wait.
Oh this does not look good. I know we should keep calm, but if Moff's gone crazy we should not trust him. If this shit's legit, I am concerned.
