I think it might be reasonable since it was HER regenerations that he got.

Reposting this image now it's him.
Hope his outfit is a bit like this. Cardigan and scarf. Would be grand.
Need to bring back jelly babies
If we're counting the John Hurt one I believe this (Peter Capaldi) is his 'last'.
Last as in last before they have to write around it.
everybody is forgetting the ton of additional regenerations that was mentioned in SJA, which how Moffat's writing has been is more of a blessing for older fans see a style that was more like the older doctor who episodes. There are a ton of fans, not a small minority, that dislike Moffat's overly hyperactive and safe doctor who and hope for something better.
I'm hopeful of letting go of the current style and go back to when doctor who was more scary and slower paced because Peter Capaldi fit greatly in those situations.
everybody is forgetting the ton of additional regenerations that was mentioned in SJA
That was pretty much confirmed as non-canon and as a joke from the Doctor to Clyde.
EDIT: Also, I would love a less safe Doctor Who. I mean seriously when was the last time they properly killed someone (a main character not just some random person) off?
EDIT2: But also to clarify I also love the current writing of Doctor Who. I just wish it was a bit more daring sometimes.
Hello Avatar.

This post makes no sense.
Where is your proof the majority dislike Moffats writing? The rating and AI score indicate people are enjoying it consistently and usually more than ever, specially when he writes an episode.
It looks filmic, it's beautiful. There's more hits than misses with the jokes. It's way more scarier than ever. A child said to me "this new guy writes it so much more scarier". There's a lot of Classic Who to Moffat Who but also a lot of RTD Who. He combines the two nicely.
The only real difference is characters. RTD wrote characters you could see walking down the street, Moffat writes characters who seem more like creations of the abstract. Both work in different ways.
If it was a straight 13 episode one with two parters nobody would've noticed much difference. Rewatch Series 5 and realise that now you're familiar with Matt it feels no different.

Damn.
Are there any pictures out there which Tumblr could fan girl over Capaldi-wise?
My avatar has regenerated!

Christmas Special 2013 they're killing The Doctor?
They killed Amy and Rory last year?
Amy, Rory and Adric are the only companions in the shows history to ever die. Randoms dying (redshirts) is a thing that happened a lot more in RTD Who and I do miss the death but I'm sure it was merely an oversight this year that all the stories were so similar.

Also the 507 was a joke.
5 + 7 = 12.
Amy and Rory don't count as deaths and neither do regenerations in my opinion.
I know it hasn't happened in the past that much either, I'm just saying I'd like it if it did happen.

Who would you kill off other than The Doctor and randoms?
Companions? Do that too much and it'll lose impact.

Replayed this nearly 100 times now.
Hello Doctor. Uhhhhhh.
The face he makes at the end
I wouldn't want them to do it loads obviously but.. well what I'm trying to say is that a companion should have to properly die at some point.
He looks more creepy than Tom baker at the end there.
Armando Iannucci should write an episode. Steve Coogan should play The Master.
Bliss.

Beautiful isn't it? I smile every time and make a weird noise.

This time last night I was so convinced it wasn't him I- just.
I can't put my joy into words. Perfect casting. Can't believe I actually entertained the idea it was Rigby.
We should've known too!
Lunch with Tennant.
Mysterious three-figure betting.
The weird BBC poll that hinted at it in a big way.
Being on the Adventure in Space and Time set.
It was too obvious. Uh.

0:35 - He poses like Hartnell and then laughs.
He's a couple weeks younger than when Hartnell took the role. By the time it goes out he'll be older.
Am I the only one who kind of wishes he kept his old beard for the role?

Would've been good as an iconic visual imo.

I'm the first person to post the image of Peter in the scarf on all the major fan sites so I'm responsible for that being in every photoshop now haha
It's a bit too good, that beard :v:
I can't wait to see what his actual outfit looks like.
I guess we'll all be watching The Musketeers to see him in action in a more family oriented show.

Capaldi looks like the creepy guy who's just kinda there
also, It looks like 8 and 9 are having a nice chat
I love Capaldi's shit eating grin at the end more than Ainsley's now!
I still think I'm dreaming. Really afraid I'll go to sleep and this will all be over.

I feel dreadfully sorry for people who haven't been on facepunch today and have to go through about 700 new posts in this thread.
I hope for a good 5 years with Capaldi.
Three minimum. 1 year is always torture. No time for development before your Doctor is snatched from you.
