The older series of doctor who gave the minor characters more depth so you wouldn't know if they were going to make it in the end making them less random.
It'll be non-cannon or not for sure when it get's explained which might be when we get to know about about the new doctor, also wouldn't mind the doctor splitting his regenerations and Peter being the valeyard.

It looks filmic, it's beautiful. There's more hits than misses with the jokes. It's way more scarier than ever. A child said to me "this new guy writes it so much more scarier". There's a lot of Classic Who to Moffat Who but also a lot of RTD Who. He combines the two nicely.
The only real difference is characters. RTD wrote characters you could see walking down the street, Moffat writes characters who seem more like creations of the abstract. Both work in different ways.

I remember people in this forum (not all) being disappointed in Matt Smith not being number 1 in a survey and trying to explain how it wasn't accurate or could have been better if they allowed to pick their 2nd and 3rd favorite.
I don't remember the source online for Moffat's professor being disappointed in his former pupil as head writer for the series.
Not to mention the majority of people I talk to in person that don't care for the series after the 5th season, they'll still watch it (except for one off the top of my head being my dad) just out of not being disgusted enough to not stop.
Also rating will be higher when children are involved and depending on what year you're looking at, Petwee and Tom Baker got huge ratings with a smaller total population size of the UK.

Yes the new Doctors theme. Saw an interview where Murray was being quite arrogant and said he'd keep using 'I Am The Doctor' as it's so perfect in his eyes.
Already overused in my experience so I hope he writes something new.

There's so much I'm looking forward to.
With Matt I was not at all interested, I couldn't see him as The Doctor. I did after a few episodes but it was an uphill struggle.
But now I am so into this. It's like how it was when I was waiting to see Tennant for the first time. I'm just excited. I feel like a kid again.
