[t]http://i.imgur.com/FasB6l0.jpg[/t] Damn.
To note, 5 to 6 was from drug overdose and 6 to 7 was a forced regen. A regeneration into the new doctor tragically and unnaturally would be great.

I'm pretty psyched about Capaldi. He's very charming.
I'll be disappointed if we don't get at least one red nose day or comic relief special with Malcolm Tucker in the Tardis.
Had a 10th Doctor marathon to celebrate the new Doctor reveal. I would have watched more Matt Smith episodes but he never made me swoon like David Tennant or Chris Ecc did.
Wasn't 5 to 6 poison?
Nah, The Doc and Peri landed on a planet made of Cocaine and went fucking mental. Thew a huge drug fueled party inviting everybody. Six woke up I'm fives outfit with a Meth needle in his arm. "Doctor what happened?" Asked a naked Peri covered in bruises, sweat, and cum "Changgge mah d-dear. Notttt a- [vomit]. Not a moment too s-s-ssssoon" Great episode. Classic Who was so much more mature.
I couldn't quite put my finger on it but you really pointed it out Nu Who needs more meth thank you Dan 10/10 would inject again
Capaldi's face doesn't need to sink any more than it already has.
Still smiling about Capaldi :) Think this is fanmade. But it's so good I couldn't be sure. Specially the use of the (new?) theme tune. [editline]5th August 2013[/editline] What made yesterday even better: The live show played music from The Arctic Monkeys, my favourite band. So I got my favourite band and my favourite actor choice. [editline]5th August 2013[/editline] 6.9 million viewers watched Peter Capaldi reveal himself as 12. More people watched that than some episodes.
My dad said he's really interested in getting back into Doctor Who now, he watched Pertwee and Baker when he was younger, and Ecclestone with me back in 2005, and he said he likes Capaldi so he might start watching again.
Capaldi definitely has the potential to be my favorite Doctor, depending on how he decides to tackle the role.
Didn't John Hurt send a tweet out yesterday saying he couldn't wait to work with capaldi? Looks like he deleted it, forced deletion maybe?
We can forgive Hurt for leaking stuff because he's John Hurt AND The Doctor.
God I'm so fucking excited for this. Since Capaldi seem's to have pretty much brought his career as far as he wants and he's a dedicated fan of the series I'm expecting this to be the longest running nuWho Doctor, then both the original 4th and the nuWho 4th Doctors will have the longest runs. [sp]It's like poetry, it rhymes[/sp]

[sp]It's like poetry, it rhymes[/sp]
Sadly as much as I LOVED Capaldi. I doubt he'll be around long. The filming schedule is famous for being incredibly punishing and hard. 9 Months of waking up at all hours of the morning and giving it your absolute all. It was really tough on a 35 year old man. I imagine it will be tougher on a 56 (by the time he starts) year old man. Hopefully like David and Matt his contract was an initial three series. Fingers crossed. [editline]5th August 2013[/editline] Filming should start soon on Christmas (script read through last week). The whole reason they revealed the 12th Doctor yesterday is because he will be seen on set otherwise. Filming for 8 starts in January apparently. So we should have pictures of Capaldi in costume in the new year. Doctor Who V12 - A Big Ball Of Omni-Womni Shambly-Wambly Stuff
Can't really see it but here's an article written by Capaldi in a Doctor Who fan published magazine. He used to hunt autographs too. One of us.

Are there any box sets made/being made with all of the series, like from oldest to newest?

How lovely of him to go and explore The TARDIS after writing multiple articles talking about how crap the show has been since Moffat took over. Remember that time I posted that comment pulling him apart on his blog? I felt bad after that. But look at him now. Still acting like a big fan when the BBC offer to give him exposure.
Do we have confirmation on if Smith is going to change at the end of the 50th or the Christmas special yet? Has the Christmas special even started filming yet?
Are there any box sets made/being made with all of the series, like from oldest to newest?
No. A lot of the older episodes were erased by the BBC in the 60s/70s. The revival has seires 1-7 on DVD with a complete Blu Ray set coming next year. Series 4specials onwards is on Blu Ray already.
So i'm best to wait for the blu ray of the revival, as I'd rather have it on blu ray and that is the old doctors till the movie?
I wouldn't wait for Blu Ray. The current price is expected to be about £200 or more. So just get them on DVD, they weren't filmed in HD or on film anyway. Plus it's a hell of a load cheaper. Old Doctors? Movie? Think you might be a little confused. The movie will likely never happen. Old Doctors are the Doctors that appeared between 1963 - 1996. Which was Doctors 1 - 8. That includes a failed TV pilot in the 90's which is often refered to as a "TV movie". 2005 onwards are considered the New Doctors. Which is the 9th Doctor (Christopher Eccleston), The 10th Doctor (David Tennant), and The 11th Doctor (Matt Smith). Series 1 (2005) is considered the perfect jumping on point for new fans. It was the first time the show had been on TV in decades and was a continuation without requiring any past knowledge. But like I said, waiting for Blu Ray is useless. You can get Series 1-4 in a DVD box set and then find the rest on Blu Ray sets.
but fancy HD

[editline]5th August 2013[/editline] Sorry if I sound like an idiot.
I started on the ninth doctor and worked my way up. Starting from the 1st doctor is pretty much time travel already and can be jarring to those new to the series and aren't sure what to expect.

Watched 9 till the start of 10 with my dad and the rest till now on my own.
