Hope you're happy, now.
I am, thank you very much Grizz - glad you asked.
When I saw Grizz and Coleman together again I felt balance in the force.
Dan and Stockers are hurting my brain I feel like Capaldi is making fun of me
Dan is one away from 1000 posts on the thread. Grizz is one away from 400 posts on the thread. [editline]15th August 2013[/editline] You deserve cake for your dedication
Also this:
This is hot
Someone posted this on reddit: 'What I think would be a great twist for the next regeneration (spoilers if you don't know who already) The Doctor takes some radiation and has to regenerate. The TARDIS is in destruction mode once again. Clara hides behind the main console as the Doctor's face slowly transforms to... Michael Jayston. Clara runs off with him before the TARDIS explodes. Left on the ground is the new Doctor,. The end is Clara holding hands with Jayston, and it freeze frames, re-introducing him as the Valeyard, as the real Doctor is left behind.' This would be a neat idea even if it wasn't specifically the Valeyard.

I used to be one of the top posters in one of the older threads :v: now look at me
Now I am the master.
jesus christ you were cast as the new master? congrats man! :v:
I really want a companion HUGELY different from any other. A middleaged man. Who has a family. He's old enough to look after himself but is a bit dull. Works in an office 9-5. No fire or excitement like. As he travels with The Doctor he comes out of his shell. Tony Gardner should play him. I just want a classy middleaged man like Ian. Plus Tony Gardner is a good actor. My Parents are Aliens was the shit growing up. He has a good rapport with Capaldi too.
Dan and Stocker's avatars are giving me a headache ):
Right, I have no idea who lives where or what people are doing, but I'm in London on Tuesday 27th August and I'm free for most of the day (at a gig that starts at 7). Is a gathering even possible? Is it too late? Does anyone wanna do it? Please answer sooner rather than later I guess. Also if only Dan/InsertUsernameHere wants to do it or something, it probably won't happen. This isn't a guaranteed thing - I'm just gathering interest or all [editline]15th August 2013[/editline] We can be awkward Internet friends together! Yay!
I'd have gone, but I have a tonsillectomy on the 23rd and I'm not allowed to go outside for 10 days minimum in case of infection :V

Yay!
London is close-ish to me but I'm too broke to consider going up there right now. I've got less than £100 in my bank and going Reading next week. Don't get more money until my student loan in October. Who you going to see? I'm guessing the best bet is CM20, but I'm likely to be with r/l friends then and it's weird to say "hold on, got to go meet my internet friends I don't know, many of which are several years younger than me". One day if I'm leaving in London by myself (or somewhere fairly central) I'll throw a big Doctor Who marathon or Doctor Who themed party for us all. [editline]15th August 2013[/editline] I don't mean "Leaving in London". I mean "living". But I can't edit because it's fucked.
David Byrne & St Vincent at The Roundhouse with my fiancé. Post #400 in this thread? I should say something profound. I got nothing. So take some v11 stuff:
Any name you come up with is guaranteed to not be it.

Meanwhile the person who told us Ben Daniels all that time ago now says his reliable source is claiming Domhnall Gleeson is cast as 12.

My girlfriend is on about going to Collectormania in Milton Keynes at the end of May, and JLC is there on the Saturday. What will we do? I know! Sack the showrunner who can't run the show. Sack the writers who can't write. Sack the cast who can't act! Destroy the sets for not being fan-pleasing enough. Cancel all 50th celebrations for not being as spectacular as they should be. Take iPlayer offline because it's not accurate enough. End all VoD services because if you're not watching live, you're not a true fan. Have all modern Who DVDs destroyed because their content doesn't live up with what was delivered back in't day. Protest outside BBC offices and studios across the country for conspiring to mislead viewers of the broadcasting schedule. Cease broadcasts around the world for daring to broadcast a television show that was made in the UK - because only we're allowed to watch it and get any and all exclusive content! Take down all discussion boards because there's no longer anything to discuss other than how terrible everything is. Hijack the DWO twitter feed to prevent further massive bouts of unacceptable hype for embargoed material. Stop all production of promotional material and merchandise so that potential new viewers aren't drawn in and forced to sit through such drivel. Erase the last eight years from our memories. Then, and only then, will the Daily fucking Mail be satisfied by the level of Who content available in the world. Off the air. A fading relic. Non-existent in civilisation today and freed from the PC lefty-propaganda agenda established by Russell T. Davies and Steven Moffat. Or we could all just get on with it and enjoy the ever-increasing convenience of iPlayer and VoD to watch one the BBC's most popular shows around the world without sending the Doctor Who world in to a blind panic for the sake of Internet traffic. I'm going to go collapse somewhere.

What it has confirmed to me (not that it needed to be) is that Doctor Who has the greatest fan base in the world. The endless speculation and theories to become wrapped in week after week, day after day. The endless heated debates over favourite showrunners, Doctors, companions, episodes, directors, writers... and it's wonderful! Especially when it's all being undertaken by such a diverse group of figures. Yes, you guys. You, reading this. Never, ever stop. Because the day that happens is the day the show must not be very interesting any longer.
Done. Good night! Or afternoon. Or morning. Wherever or whenever you are.
Did you have all that bookmarked? Oh I love this thread [editline]15th August 2013[/editline] I remember a lot of those posts. Good memories. [editline]15th August 2013[/editline] Does Dain have an alt or is he dead for good? One of the posters I remember. Ahh, good times.
Effort right here ladies and gents! [editline]15th August 2013[/editline] I'm guessing he has an alt but I have not idea who it is. He's been looking at my posts at any rate. He will probably be in London on that date, so he might come [editline]15th August 2013[/editline] Finding out that I'm anything like Alan Partridge is genuinely a phobia of mine. I wonder how Dain feels
I've not been in this thread long, any spoilers or very confident rumours are spoiler tagged here right? I don't want any secrets in the 50th/Christmas Special spoiled for me but I don't want to leave this thread since I love speculating and discussing with you guys. :D EDIT: I love this clip so freaking much - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LtesEeqRsy4
I'm seeing double Capaldi.
Yeah, any leaked information or rumours about future episodes normally get spoiler tagged. I think if it gets announced by the BBC, people don't use spoiler tags, even though some people will see it as slightly spoiler-y. (For example, any announced details about the 50th such as actors, episode titles, or the new Doctor) I think the only thing that's different about spoiler tags is that we tend not to use them about an episode that's aired in the UK. So if you can't see it straight away, it's normally best to stay away until you do

We discuss rumours and speculate without tags but the attitude is that they're all bullshite anyway. Unless a rumour comes with photo or video proof we don't spoiler tag it. Or if it's mentioned by like a million sources close to the BBC at once then it seems pretty legit so I'll tag it (EG: All The Doctors appearing in NOTD). But even then I can be wrong. Such as Daniel Rigby and Ben Daniels. 100% confirmed as The Doctor at one point. If I ever found something REALLY spoilery I flat out won't post about it (EG: When I found the description of the last scene of TNOTD. We all speculated correctly what it would be. But when I found a word-for-word description of that scene I decided not to post about it to stop people from being tempted to click spoiler tags). I never posted the 50th trailer description to keep it away from peoples temptation. I've stopped reading the spoilers now anyway. I occasionally like to check up on the missing episodes rumour which I now believe are legit. LOTS of sources back that up. Probably no more than 3 complete stories and a few odd episodes. Which in total will be about 20 - 30 episodes. But I think they're all in such rubbish condition that the BBC won't say anything until they're sure they can fix it. I've heard there's a serious sound issue and a serious 'actually getting the films from where they are now to the BBC' issue. But apparently this week something happened towards fixing that second issue and people are expecting an announcement next year after fully reviewing the footage. Just an update there :P Also we don't spoiler tag an episode after it airs in the UK. Though if it's something REALLY big (IE: JOHN HURT IS THE DOCTOR) I personally will spoiler tag it until about 24 hours later.
But Dan... you're our rumors guy. I come into this thread and I always expect some juicy rumors from you. WHERE WILL THE JUICE GO WITHOUT RUMOR DAN?!
Nick Briggs on 50th Daleks Sequence
There were some big, big explosions. The biggest explosions I've ever seen on Doctor Who when they were shooting the bits with the Daleks. And I suddenly got a feeling of what it might be like to be in a warzone, because I'm talking about an explosion of that boat going past us on the Thames And yet when it goes off you actually feel the percussion of hitting you and the warmth ... heat on your face... that is terrifying. .... The setups with the Daleks are the most spectacular, ambitious setups I've ever worked on on Doctor Who.. it's just like being in a huge movie. It was enormous. There was rubble everywhere.
Wonder if he'll voice the Zygons too?
