I wish I went to Manchester. I only ever applied to my local and got into my local via clearing.
It wasn't so much fun going to Uni while living with your mum. I wish I went ANYWHERE. Nottingham or Manchester as they have the best student radio. Probably wouldn't have got into Nottingham but Manchester.
I fucked up. I'll regret it forever. But oh well. Also...
You fucker leave my avatar alone.
I went to a Uni in Manchester, the unfortunate thing was living in Manchester already
So Big Finish's The Light at the End 50th special just got announced to have a limited vinyl release, and we finally got some kind of cover.

Also, the vinyl will have this fancy lenticular:

Not exactly perfect, that render, but still noteworthy.
IDW's comic featuring the fall of Gallifrey. While it may not be canon, it has been approved by the powers that be. View at your will.

The Renegade?
Also I was just thinking yesterday- about what happened to The Matrix. Curious.
(PS this would be signed off by various BBC officials so it fits somewhat within the canon)
Jesus fuck dan, can you thumb that image?
The Matrix confirmed for playing a part in the 50th, then. Maybe that's how they'll bring Gallifrey back?
Matrix could be a part of that comic though.
Matrix has always baffled me a little bit.
Could do I guess, it'd be a good plot line for the 50th though. I hope Gallifrey is back for 12's run, it's time to bring it back I think.

Ohh my bad. I didn't see you'd posted it!
In regards to the Valeyard discussion earlier, It could be that he very much doesn't want to be evil, however, because he's seen how he acts (via previous incarnations), he very much has to stick to that, and do what he hates, because he has to.
If that makes any sort of sense, at least. The Valeyard isn't evil because "lolevildoctor", he's evil because he has to be.
new avatar, hey guys

I cropped the GIF so it was just Capaldi and the lion. Then I put it on Tumblr.
The guy who made the original GIF sent me a message telling me I stole and butchered his work. So I apologised and took it down.
He'd have a fit if he saw the people in this thread.

[sp]Gonna get myself banned again at this rate[/sp]
Hide was really really good despite the rushed ending but unlike other stories it didn't detract from the overall experience.
Rings was just average. It wasn't as bad as a lot make it sound. I guess it was quite rushed as it was commissioned late. I liked the speeches and dialogue. But nothing really happened. It was a VERY simple story that leaves the real effect.
His other work is well regarded so maybe it can only get better. Somebody said to me a very long time ago that Neil was back along with a crazy amount of editors and assistants to make sure the writing is overall a lot more solid for Capaldi's first series.
It can only be good.
This thread is getting to be the plot from End of Time part 2
except with Capaldi instead of Simm
Rings feels like another writer pulled out at last minute and Moffat threw a load of money at Cross to write some shit to plug the gap.
Probably not. They always have one back up writer who writes an extra story incase somebody drops out.
Sometimes a writer completes a script that never gets shown. Like Steven Fry's Arthurian story for series 2.
Written by Paul Abbott, this episode was intended for episode 11 of Series 1 With Jack Harkness having joined the Ninth Doctor and Rose Tyler, Rose feels left out. But when they land in Pompeii in 79 AD, Jack discovers that Rose's life has been manipulated by the Doctor in an experiment to create the perfect companion. Abbot's commitment to Shameless and other projects led to him dropping out of the episode. Russell T Davies took over and wrote "Boom Town" in its place.
- That is my favourite episode that never happened.
[editline]16th August 2013[/editline]
Oh rumours they've found a long lost interview with William Hartnall. It will apparently be a surprise special feature on the Tenth Planet DVD.
Moffat did say something was happening this year that was a major coincidence considering it was the 50th. Did he mean lost episodes returning or this?
This work is made up of a number of separate components. Note that since February 2001 the BBFC has measured each component separately, but older works may not have the exact details, only a list of titles

BBFC on the Tenth Planet
Apparently a national newspaper has been fucking about and investigating the Missing Episode rumour and will be reporting on it soon. BBC is desperate to either gag them or beat them to the punch. Also people are now reporting they've SEEN the missing episodes as private screenings are taking place.
