I wonder if we'll ever see all the lost doctor who episodes? Now that the show has become more well known, I wouldn't be surprised if more show up.
Stephen Fry wrote the initial script for episode 11 of series 2 of the revived Doctor Who. Believing the script to be too complex however, Russell T Davies decided it would be better suited for season three, giving the crew more time for preparation. The script was replaced with Fear Her, and was never made as Fry could not find the time to make the necessary alterations to the script. This episode was, according to Fry in an interview with Bob Tyrer, about the "Sub-Arthurian legend of [Sir] Gawain and the Green Knight", or "Gavin" as Fry playfully refers to him as, conjecturing that Gavin would be the modern form of the name Gawain. In the original legend, "It describes how Sir Gawain, a knight of King Arthur's Round Table, accepts a challenge from a mysterious "Green Knight" who challenges any knight to strike him with his axe if he will take a return blow in a year and a day. Gawain accepts and beheads him with his blow, at which the Green Knight stands up, picks up his head and reminds Gawain of the appointed time. In his struggles to keep his bargain Gawain demonstrates chivalry and loyalty until his honour is called into question by a test involving Lady Bertilak, the lady of the Green Knight's castle.". Fry had weaved a Doctor Who story into this in his original script.

I would really like to see Gallifrey back on Who. 50th would be a great time to bring it back.
Eh. Gallifrey episodes are famous for being the most boring, drawn-out, pointless episodes of Who history. When they first appeared they were incredibly powerful- almost god like. That was Troughton Era. When they came back they were just politicians. I like seeing Gallifrey in flash backs and time-war esque stuff. But I really like the last-of-the-timelords vibe. Plus it was revealed they are mad and evil and plan on wiping out reality. [editline]17th August 2013[/editline] Plus the idea The Doctor wiped out his own people is still very powerful. You bring them back and you lose that being so powerful. Moffat brings enough people back from the dead, we really don't need to bring back the best thing RTD ever did.
I would still like to see it for some kind of special event. Properly, not a series of meeting with a spitting Rassilon. We're not in the classic series any longer - there's no saying what could be done with the new series, with tighter episodes.
Patrick Troughton the day before he died. [editline]17th August 2013[/editline] http://www.thefilmclinic.co.uk/ The Film Clinic claims it did restoration on Doctor Who episodes. Most odd. As the restoration has always been handled by The Restoration Team. The only stories The Restoration Team hasn't done are the episodes that are still 'missing'. Interessssting. Also: Outpost Skaro PM'd somebody the identity of their most recent source on the Missing Episodes saga. That person PM'd a few people on a Doctor Who forum. All of them refuse to post the identity as it's somebody quite high up in the BBC and they don't want to get in trouble. They all agree it's very interesting. I think one user summed it up best: "This is the best fucking spy thriller EVER."
I was justing thinking you know David Tennant had that I would walk 500 miles to send his run, Matt Smith should have had this:
Would "hip to be square" be a reference to his jaw then?
Patrick Bateman as the 13th Doctor
Movie version or book version?
Here is a little bit of info regarding some scheduling problems behind the scenes. A friend of mine is a jobbing supporting artist. She told me that one of her friends was booked for this years Christmas special. She has no reason to lie so unless she was lied to I have no reason to doubt her. Anyway she said they booked all the crew for the Christmas special this year but forgot to book Matt Smith. All the regular cast and crew then had to be rescheduled to accommodate Matt Smiths schedule as he was still in America. If I remember correctly the xmas special was due to film this month but was pushed back to next month , this maybe why. Obviously this a bit of ¤¤¤¤ up on the part of production team.
Hahahahahahahaha. The original plan was to announce 12 1-2 weeks before he films anything according to Radio Times. So this explains why filming still hasn't started. Poor Matt. [editline]17th August 2013[/editline] A little bit longer to grow his hair. [editline]17th August 2013[/editline] To be fair I'm quite doubtful of the legitimacy. Forgetting your leading man seems a bit much. Always expected filming to start September anyway.
I just realized that being the Doctor's companion really does turn you into a monster. Clara without a second thought sent copies of her who had no idea what was going on to their deaths she committed genocide, on herself
she committed genocide, on herself
clara is her own hitler?

How could they forget half of that?! :v: Three if you include 12.
clara is her own hitler?
yes
But who gave Clara the TARDIS phone number? River - River didn't know Clara and Clara didn't know River. Clara - No way, she wouldn't accept a phone number from herself without being a little freaked. Rose - When Rose was in the TARDIS the outside phone didn't work. Surely a Timelord is the only person who would know how to ring that phone. Susan?

The correct phrase is bootstrap paradox. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bootstrap_paradox
The correct phrase is bootstrap paradox. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bootstrap_paradox
i'm referring more to whenever the doctor is in need clara appeared, therefore she's his personal deus ex machina
It was Moffat, the Time Lord supreme.
Moffat in a drag. Beautiful.
It's better than deus ex love.
clara is now a deus ex machina
That's been established since the premiere of The Name of the Doctor.
That's been established since the premiere of The Name of the Doctor.
yes, but it's always fun to reiterate
Am I the only one who would like RTD to guest write occasionally? I know he won't, but still
No you're not. Moffat has asked him every year.
No you're not. Moffat has asked him every year.
that's what he says anyway
What happened to his partner? He got a brain tumour in 2011 and we never heard anything since. Is he cancer free? Is he dead? I don't know RTD pretty much scrapped his entire work schedule to be with him and stuff, bar Wizards and Aleins or whatever that show he did was called [editline]17th August 2013[/editline] 150th post on the thread! ~120 of those were posted in the last 3 weeks
150th post on the thread! ~120 of those were posted in the last 3 weeks
How do you see how many posts you have on a specific thread?
Wizards and Aliens was his move back to writing last year. He moved back to the UK and everything. His partner is still alive but I don't think he's cancer free yet. It was a blow for Russell. It came just after Liz Sladen died. Originally Wizards and Aliens was going to be a project they worked on while she got better. I imagine that was a shitty year. He asked BBC books if he could do a graphic novel, even wanted to draw it. But they said no. I guess if he does anything, they want it to be TV.
