I hope K9 makes an appearance in the 50th. Since the Sarah Jane/Sarah Jane Adventures is no longer a thing ( :( ) K9 is sort of trapped there right now unless they make a new model of course.

Well no.
She didn't meet them herself. She split herself into different people remember.
Plus it wouldn't matter anyway, all 11 doctors are completely different. I've met 11 people in my life, doesn't mean I was prepared when I met the 12th.
Also I think he's trying to make a point of how different 12 will be. They seem really determined to take some big risks and make 12 really hard to adjust to.
