BBC worldwide trailer for the 50th Anniversary aired in China. http://v.youku.com/v_show/id_XNTk4ODU0NDIw.html Note: It's the 50th anniversary trailer, not a trailer for the special.
That site lags like hell for me.
It's a chinese site of course it does.

If he does pop up in new material this year I do wonder what he'll be wearing. I'm partial to the TV movie look, it's quite iconic. The new stuff looks a little too casual and in the same vein as Chris.

Also, it seems like a lot of the actors wanted costumes like the one Chris had, like how Colin said his original idea looked like Chris', and now Paul's costume he designed himself.
Yeah Paul shaved his head for the role and when he turned up on set they freaked. Told him it doesn't match the character and made him wear a wig
Sort of spoiler? It's not confirmed by the BBC but just incase people don't want really ANY spoilers for specifically series 8 (assuming it's true): [sp] twitter.com/WithJohnHurt/status/367977263821631488 - I think John Hurt has pretty much confirmed at this point he's going to play more than just a one off Doctor. Maybe a later on John to Chris regeneration will happen? [/sp]
Yeah Paul shaved his head for the role and when he turned up on set they freaked. Told him it doesn't match the character and made him wear a wig
That true? I knew he had to wear a wig and he hated it, but I never knew the reason why.
I doubt it. If he was involved he never would've replied to that tweet. Just ignore it and people forget. It was probably just a fuck up on behalf of whoever writes his tweets. He's said in the past he had no interest in Who until he was offered a part he couldn't refuse. So I doubt he would've been watching the reveal program let alone tweet about it so quickly. More proof it was just some assistant who knows nothing about the show making a stuff up. [editline]29th August 2013[/editline]
That true? I knew he had to wear a wig and he hated it, but I never knew the reason why.
Yeah because he auditioned with long hair. He's always said it Doctor Who was a hair job
He'd be watching if the actor he was going to be working with closely in the future was being revealed.
But he wouldn't be working closely if he was in it again. They'd never afford him, he wouldn't have the time, and he wouldn't survive the hours. Plus the reliable spoiler people have all said [sp]Hurt is erased at the end of the episode[/sp]
You can work closely to someone in ways other than just filming a ton with them.

I find it funny that I was gonna ask if anyone here has tried doing 10's hair, and the past few posts were actually about 8's hair. As for 8, I hope he appears as the way Paul designed him. I prefer him that way since I'm guessing at this era he was dressed like that was during the Time War, which is what (I believe) the 50th Anniversary is gonna be about. But it appears he's gonna have to wear a dreaded wig and using his TV Movie look, so I'm disappoint.
Cue "China gets so much more Doctor Who than us!!!!!!!!!1 Moffat only cares for Chinese audience!!!!!"
I thought that China had banned works containing time travel. There was a lot of talk about it a few years ago.
I thought that China had banned works containing time travel. There was a lot of talk about it a few years ago.
Something to that effect, yes. It was to remove the possibility that someone would think of going back in time to kill Chairman Mao. who'd have thunk it eh?
Outpost Skaro has posted a cryptic image. Decipher time: [img_thumb]https://pbs.twimg.com/media/BS29XPLCcAAnXsf.jpg:large[/img_thumb] I work it out as: Tomorrow - Web - ______ - ______ - more - return I'm guessing "Web" would mean Web of Fear. Somebody says the Batman/Robin one could mean "pow" as in "Power of the Daleks". EXCITEMENT BUILDS. [editline]29th August 2013[/editline] It probably doesn't mean an announcement- just the BBC will FINALLY have their hands on them after negotiating for 2 - 5 years if rumours are to be believed. [editline]29th August 2013[/editline] This is my favourite thing released during 8th Doctor month so far. I think it may have been on the DVD but how nice for it to get an official upload. The Paul McGann audition.
Do we know for certain it's about the missing episodes?
Yeah they've been tweeting a lot about them lately. Plus nothing else fits. Also tweeted these? [IMG_thumb]https://pbs.twimg.com/media/BStCS49CAAEauDk.jpg[/IMG_thumb][IMG_thumb]https://pbs.twimg.com/media/BStigqNCMAAubDp.jpg[/IMG_thumb] [editline]29th August 2013[/editline] Outpost Skaro have never been this show-offy with info since 15 minutes before Peter Capaldi was revealed as The Doctor (they got the press release 15 minutes before the show started). They must be fairly certain.

"Deceive, Inveigle, Obfuscate" is the tagline to Teliko, an episode of the X-files. [editline]29th August 2013[/editline] So we have the tagline used for one episode of the X-files, and the normal tagline for the X-Files written in German.
Germany could be where they were found? Who knows? It's a mystery! *x-files theme*
What if The Underwater Menace is one of the found episodes? That's why the German text is over the Patrick Troughton titles. It's in German to reference that German Professor from it. And because I can't talk about The Underwater Menace without referencing that line: NOZING IN ZE VORLD CAN SHTOP ME NOW!
Matt and Jenna were supposed to appear on Blue Peter today but it has been postponed. Probably due to leg injury. Don't want him hobbling around the set. I wonder why they were going to be on Blue Peter though?
