I hate the phrase "My Doctor". I love them all equally. Though Tom, Matt, and David make me extra giddy.
By the way Outpost Skaro tweeted who the main villain is of Matt's final episode:
[sp]Cybermen[/sp]
A bit later an extra in the episode also tweeted it ([sp]they are playing one of them[/sp]) and now that tweet is deleted.
It's all over a lot of entertainment news websites so mayswell share it here before you see it there like I did.
My Doctor is just the one you love the most.. not necessarily you're favourite (but sort of is). It's really the one who got you REALLY hooked into Doctor Who and who you love.
EDIT: Also I see no confirmation of them being the main villain, just that they're appearing.
Matt really got me into it, but the first time I watched it was the Empty Child. Scared me so much, didn't actually watch it again until Voyage of the Damned. Then waited until Tennant's regeneration to watch it again, and then I was hooked on Matt's series.

I wasn't the best viewer.
In my opinion Hartnell and Matt are/were probably the very best actors at portraying the irascible old man with the many bodies, many secrets and an intellect greater than any human could even imagine
If I had to choose it would be Tom Baker.
All the others did amazing. But whenever I look at him I don't think of Tom Baker the actor, I purely think of "The Doctor". Apparently when he did theatre for a while after Doctor Who they used to bill him as "Doctor Who" not "Tom Baker".
I get a big smile whenever I look at him. My brain is screaming "It's The Doctor, It's The Doctor". Maybe it's because I would catch bits of his Doctor on TV growing up so even though I don't have much memory of it, he was my first Doctor. But something is just magical for me when I see Tom! Bizarrely I get that same warm excited feeling whenever I see pictures of Capaldi looking Doctor-ish. I've got a feeling he's going to become my number-one but for now it's firmly Tom.
But I also love Jon, Chris, David, and Matt who constantly alternate for second place. I also love everybody. I don't think anybody has ever failed in the role.

True say. Maybe we'll get to see the Pandorica-alliance again as they detonate the TARDIS.

Oh by the way. They found The Tenth Planet episode 4... script.
Hartnell doesn't leave at the end either.

Hope very much that Confidential will really come back as rumoured today on Twitter
Damn it, if you still did I would have asked for some work experience as I'm struggling to cement a media/editing job because I haven't had any :v:
@chrisfeyrer: @BlogtorWho if you don't reveal when the trailer is coming out..I will have to use...THE MIND PROBE!
‏@BlogtorWho: @chrisfeyrer Not long now.
Part 2 of the Drama trailer is coming, isn't it?
I think it will come shortly after that - as it's own thing.
Strictly Come Dancing launches this weekend. That hits some high numbers. Just saying.
Though we should never get our hopes up with Doctor Who promotional material :v:
I'm not watching Strictly for a trailer. I think I'll wait for the internet release so I can constantly hit replay and post here a million times.

Doctor Who 50th Anniversary Trivial Pursuit, go.
Also according to pictures from the GQ awards Matt is off crutches!
i'd bet a tenner that moffat turned up to his house at 3am swigging brandy wearing only a vest and said "oi u ye english cunt, get off the crutches"
and then went home and high fived capaldi
maybe capaldi is the first step to making doctor who a completely scottish show
john barrowman and karen gillan return as companions, and there's a three doctors special with the seventh, tenth and twelfth doctors taking place entirely in glasgow where they have to save strax, who has joined a young team and been stabbed with a potato peeler
Watching World War Z, Peter Capaldi has quite an iconic voice.. as in you'd know it was him

Ahh that's much longer than the version I posted a few pages back.

Matt confirmed on TV this morning that filming starts Sunday.
He also confirmed he will be wearing a wig.
Making a decent wig takes time and costs money. I assume the BBC gave him permission to change his hair since surely it must be in the artist's contract that they shouldn't drastically change their appearance.
Yeah it probably would be. Brand recognition goes out the window when you shave your hair off.
But at the GQ awards he was sporting a new haircut so I guess the BBC only recently decided to go the wig route and told him to stop growing it.
From what I understand: http://asitecalledfred.com/2013/07/26/steven-moffat-ken-plume-chat/
He discusses the series splits in particular, stating that series 6's split was his idea, but the split in series 7 wasn't. He also insists series 8 should be a continuous run.
My mother tends to list things you could balance on matt smith's head whenever he's on TV
like books
and yachts

Yeah the second split was a terrible idea. Looks like the BBC tried to get involved too much..

I'm going back to Glasgow in a few days, I'll keep an eye out for Capaldi for you.

Annoyed that Alex Turner was also at this event yet no picture of Matt Smith, Noel Gallagher and Alex Turner seems to exist. Oh well 2/3 isn't bad.
Apparently Noel and Matt have been spotted on the town together before.
