Stream starts in just over an hour.
edit: 15 minutes to go!

Starting now! Get on in here!
Once Tom Baker got smashed in a pub and took a beautiful girl back to his hotel room.
She got naked and said "Have you got your costume here?" to which his heart sank as he didn't want to shag her in a hat, coat and scarf. Then she added "give it to me"
And he ended up shagging the girl who was now wearing his Doctor Who costume.
"We were grappling like a pair of demented ferrets. It was extremely pleasant. And then the thought came into my head: 'Christ I'm shagging myself'"
Series 7 Soundtrack is here!
No attack music from Asylum =( Gunslingers is still superb. As is much of it, for that matter - as always.
A lot of "one-time only" music has been cut, though. Which is a shame - since it's only accessible through watching the episode.

Pfft I watched GOT only recently and soon as I saw him I knew he was from Doctor Who. A couple of episodes later it clicked.

Same for most of the cast actually. Viserys was instant though. He's good.
With him, it's reverse though. He was in GoT before Dr. Who. So he's from GoT.

Nah, Time of Angels was April 2010, GoT didn't start airing until a full year later in April, 2011.
Looks like Atlantis is having it's turn

Is there any other BBC show apart from Doctor Who that hasn't had or been part of a trailer yet?
Is there any other BBC show apart from Doctor Who that hasn't had or been part of a trailer yet?
Yes. A good number.
Atlantis looks like chewing gum when compared with the three course meal that is Doctor Who.
I'll watch it. But it looks like a sy-fy channel program not a quality BBC family drama. The acting and movement looks like a cut-scene from Assassins Creed. Which is odd considering some neat people are involved.
I just want the Who trailer dammit :(
It looks like Merlin, basically.
Hopefully a midnight trailer release?

this is quite possibly the worst thing the BBC could do in the 50th anniversary year
nothing has happened at all, really.

I think that quite possibly the worst thing they could have done is nothing at all.
I think they'll have avoided that by the end of the year. There was only so much new content that was going to be on TV between January and October - no matter what Moffat said last year. It was never going to 'take over television' all year short of a brand new BBC Doctor Who channel - which I would support the creation of.
But it hasn't left my awareness since it went off the air. From John Hurt's appeareance, to Matt Smith's departure and Peter fucking Capaldi's unveiling. Preceeded by something I really didn't expect to see - the triumphant return of the First Doctor :v: Mix in the Proms and the little nods to Who up and down the country, around the world, on and off screen - and we have ourselves a strong brand, 50 years on.
As it stands - Eight episodes, two specials, one live show, one docu-drama, plus repeats. Doctor Who revisited in the U.S. It may not be much in the new content department, but it's more than it would have been likely to get 9 years ago. That's not taking in to account anything not revealed yet.

I can hardly believe we're here again already.
Filming has begun on the Christmas Special.

I have to retract this post. The Tennant one at least is a photoshop. People are bastards.

People moaning that this is the "worst" for the anniversary year get on my tits.
It's not even the anniversary month and we know SO MUCH is coming.
We already have:
- a live show (where PETER CAPALDI was revealed as The Doctor)
- a whole new website featuring a different Doctor with some exclusive new info
- Monthly BFI press screenings
- A monthly show featuring each Doctor (not aired in the UK but it will)
- Doctor Who postage stamps
- 11 audioplays featuring each Doctor with 11 featuring in each
- 11 books featuring each Doctor
- Streetview TARDIS
- A huge string of merchandise
No other show gets this level of coverage worldwide. When Corrie turned 50 did you see this much celebration? They had one episode. They have more viewers and haven't had a hiatus in the middle! Yet Doctor Who has SO much and has even bigger things coming up many of which are yet to be announced. Already too many for me to bother listing. Even Australlia is getting a live Doctor Who music event. Doctor Who is everywhere.
You don't want to annoy people with a Doctor Who overdose.
Such self entitlement from Doctor Who fans. A TV show only gets a trailer 1/2 month before release as part of the marketing push. There's no reason to have a trailer now. It would be useless. It would just be for the fans benefit. Average joe wouldn't see it- and if they did they wouldn't think "ohh better remember to watch that in 4 months".
What would a trailer do anyway? Make you more excited for something you won't see for a whole season.
Even I'm guilty of saying "I want a trailer :(". But I don't expect one or get upset about not existing.
Okay I'm done.

EDIT:
A TV show only gets a trailer 1/2 month before release as part of the marketing push.
I agree with most of your post but not this part. Stuff like Sherlock gets a trailer and that probably won't be out for a long while.
Is anything that the BBC has advertised so far for a single episode?
The 50th special can hold it's own down the line.

Sherlock gets ambiguous teasers. Only gets trailers in the weeks running up.
The only reason Sherlock gets that is because the gap between series is so huge.
They will air the trailer after the 1st episode of Sherlock - calling it now
