They're audiobooks, not audio plays. The Destiny of the Doctor series are audiobooks with a single narrator for each story, and there's a 50th anniversary special audio play called Light at the End featuring Tom Baker, Peter Davison, Colin Baker, Sylvester McCoy and Paul McGann as their doctors.
They will air the trailer after the 1st episode of Sherlock - calling it now
So 2014?
That might be late.
[editline]8th September 2013[/editline]
The Destiny of the Doctor has one or two actors reading all the parts dramatically with music doesn't it?
One even has Briggs voicing the bad guy. And they're not books and an audiobook is usually a reading from a book.
They're audioplays. Just small ones.
Maybe they're done a bit like those Big Finish companion chronicles, where they somehow try and account for the fact The Doctor doesn't actually say anything throughout the story.
Meanwhile outside BBC TV centre:

Could this be something unannounced by the BBC? Probably not. Likely the short film Davison said he was making for the 50th.
Love the jumper and protest signs.

The Name of the Doctor had amazing music, and was a great episode.
What's the name of the track that plays when John Hurt's Doctor is revealed?

The Day of the Doctor ... 75 Minutes.
Woop.
Straight from the Beeb, it seems.

DWO (I know, I know), is claiming (I know, I know) that the 50th poster will be revealed this week. It's designer did say 'very soon' recently - as unlikely as it may be that he would know :v:
"There's not enough content for the 50th year. Brian Cox is a hack, Hawking should host the show. It should all be on BBC 1. 75 minutes is a feable time, two parters are longer." - future Gallifrey Base post
[editline]10th September 2013[/editline]
Also "life long fan" is such a bullshit statement unless he was born quoting the show and whistling the theme tune
as unlikely as it may be that he would know :v:
of course he would know - it says on the draft he gets something like 'we plan to release it at about this time so we need it by this time'
also can I just say 'Day of the Doctor' is actually a pretty good name
He may have a deadline, but that doesn't mean the BBC will then release it. It's likely now that the title has been revealed, but they can still hold back.
The trailer was coming "very soon" weeks ago :v:
The trailer was coming "very soon" weeks ago :v:
but was that by someone who's actually worked on it? :v:
Wouldn't matter. The BBC controls the media and when to release it. Today's seemingly unintentionally intentional massive leak could put it off.
Wouldn't matter. The BBC controls the media and when to release it. Today's seemingly unintentionally intentional massive leak could put it off.
I mean who said 'the trailer is coming very soon'
In defence of DWO: They have said twice in the past "a big announcement is coming" and both times it turned out to be nothing- BUT Outpost Skaro says they received Press Releases at the same time about missing episodes and they were pulled hours before going live.
It's likely DWO gets a press release and it gets pulled. But DWO is the only news site arrogant enough to show off about it so when it falls apart they end up looking like bullshitters.

why only 75 and not 90?
why only 75 and not 90?
It might not need to be 90 minutes. More End of Time Part 2 than TV Movie. It should be fine.

Images may be released at midnight... according to Blogtor. Presumably the press release was supposed to be then... instead of.. earlier.
Perhaps the posters! Imagine that :v: :v:
Theory: The name of the 50th was going to be released earlier today but the BBC decided to just show the posters at midnight instead (since they presumably/possibly have the name of them it on them).

Maybe one day the BBC will manage to make a big announcement without accidentally leaking it first.
Then again I suppose they did keep Capaldi underwraps (sorta).

That's very very very nice looking. Is it real?
I mean it's good but nothing about it screams "50th".
