Radio 4 Extra add? Didn't see it originally. Also Davison's quote, has it been posted? Like his film :v:
"Yes I have got a copy of the script which has got my name embossed across it" What?
It IS slightly weird he has a copy of the script. I mean maybe it's nothing because of his relation with Doctor Who and David Tennant but still...
With his name on it? Ehhh. It's really odd.
Maybe just an honour he's allowed as a former Doctor? And maybe the embossing is so that if any scripts are copied it may be possible to detect where they came from somehow?

I'm not sure why people are talking about Bad Wolf here - Is it because of the actual Bad Wolf graffiti in the details of the poster, or is it because Smith, Tennant and Hurt combined form a wolf's head in the poster? Or both? I'm so confused
U wot?
A lot of well made posters (which this is) have very intentional symbolism put into them. I'm used to looking for it. It is often the reason why one poster design chosen over another. I still swear I can see it and Im not just acting like a crazy person on the Internet. I can try and describe it to you if you want, but whatever, maybe I am crazy. I'm not backing down though
I still don't get why they didn't spike David Tennant's hair up.
I still don't get why they didn't spike David Tennant's hair up.
David might've not felt like hair gel this time around. Or maybe it's showing Ten's in one of his somber moods in between companions. Could even mean he's coming from the between-Series 2-3 timefrane, but from the looks of the QEI rumors, that seems unlikely.
I still don't get why they didn't spike David Tennant's hair up.
Because it would show his age spiking a 42 year old mans hair up. Plus he probably didn't want to cut it short to do so. The Tenth Doctor was always a stylish modern man. Spikey up hair that Ten had went out of fashion round the same time he did. It already started to look silly on him in Series 4. I prefer it  [editline]12th September 2013[/editline]
Maybe just an honour he's allowed as a former Doctor? And maybe the embossing is so that if any scripts are copied it may be possible to detect where they came from somehow?
But they said they haven't seen a script, and it'd be another way of risking it getting out. I think if they're being given scripts now it's because they're doing stuff now. Which means it's post-production work like voice acting or shit. [editline]12th September 2013[/editline] This is the most interesting E-book so far. Set during Rose, The Ninth Doctor is on 3 separate adventures at the same time trying to choose who should be his companion. Which has always been my personal canon :P. I always got the impression he was rushing off to deal with another more important problem and a lot more time had passed for him than Rose. I should buy it! But the guy who wrote the last one said a physical box set is coming November so I'll wait for that. Then have a whole day of 11 new official endorsed Doctor Who stories. Interesting the BBC let him do a "newly regenerated 9th Doctor". Wonder if it will follow directly and explain his regeneration? Or maybe that was a no go area as we'll be seeing it on TV soon? (please)
That sounds like a pretty cool story. Is it gonna be available as a physical copy or only as an e-book?
Like I said, the guy who wrote the last one said on Twitter that a box set of all 11 stories in physical form is coming out November. [editline]12th September 2013[/editline] J K Rowling is writing one of the next two. Which will it be? Go out with a bang and make her write for 11? Or make her write for 10 as it has the potential to sell best?

Even if the latter, I'm dubious. Your title still speaks wonders, Dan.
The Tenth Doctor was always a stylish modern man. Spikey up hair that Ten had went out of fashion round the same time he did.
He's a time traveller and the 50th is set in his past.
Has that been confirmed, or are we still in the rumor stages on that, albiet the "We're pretty much sure from our sources, just waiting on the press release" kind? Even if the latter, I'm dubious. Your title still speaks wonders, Dan.
Well it was rumoured last year that Rowling and other children's writers would be writing some short stories for the 50th. Then came the announcement there will be some short stories for the 50th. So the J K Rowling rumour has been about since the start... but last month somebody asked Moffat if Rowling was writing one and he said "We're not talking about that yet" with a big smile. [editline]12th September 2013[/editline]
He's a time traveller and the 50th is set in his past.
From an audience perspective.
Who will be the other short story writer if one is JK?
We haven't seen all living Doctors together off-screen, have we? It's a really annoying divide between the five and three. It needs to happen - at least once.
From an audience perspective.
But that's just (sorta) breaking the fourth wall. Why would he change his hairstyle randomly? It's not like he knows who's watching or when.

Paul just looks so smug there in his Dark Eyes costume.

That's a very flattering picture of everybody. Colin looks average weight! [editline]12th September 2013[/editline]
But that's just (sorta) breaking the fourth wall. Why would he change his hairstyle randomly? It's not like he knows who's watching or when.
Does it really matter? You can't expect him to spike his hair up any more than you would expect Peter Davison to wear a wig, or Colin Baker to lose weight, or Tom Baker to dye his hair. He got old dude. It's lucky his hair still matches the character. Does it matter for Tennants Doctor? He had three different hairstyles in his time and the point was it we a relevant and hip hairstyle from the perspective of the viewing audience. Which it is now.
Is it just me or does Paul Mcgann looked Photoshopped in?
How is changing a character's hair for a poster breaking the fourth wall. From what we've seen from promotional and filming pictures, he's still got his old hair so does it really matter?
Does it really matter? He had three different hairstyles in his time and the point was it we a relevant and hip hairstyle from the perspective of the viewing audience. Which it is now.
Yes it matters to me. I think it will break the immersion of the show (a bit) for me personally. There's a big difference between putting gel in your hair and wearing a wig or dying your hair. You keep saying he's gotten old but he doesn't look that much different. Do you think his forehead is like the most wrinkly thing ever or something suddenly? It's only been four years! Nobody ages that much in four years! It's been many more for the others you mentioned. EDIT: I may be blowing this out of proportion a bit - even though my point still stands it looks better in motion than it does in the poster (rewatched the behind the scenes clip of him and Matt).
But gelling his hair would be attempting to make him how he did, no Doctor who has returned in the past has had their appearance modified to look as they did when they were in the role so why start now? He doesn't gel it anymore. He stopped doing it. To do it he would have to cut hair current hair shorter as he has a long fringe now. If he doesn't want to cut his hair why should he? It's not like growing sideburns (which he did). There's no need for him to do that, I can't believe such a superficial thing like his hairsyle is bothering your immersion. His hair looks great. Series 2 - sometimes a little bit a gel. Often just messy. Slight mullet. Fringe is sort of pushed around. Series 3 - Longer and thicker on top. Quiffs at the front. Series 4 - shortest it has been. VERY spikey. Probably my least favourite. Specials - Hello super quiff There's no reason he didn't experiment with hairstyle in any years we didn't see on TV. God between this and people on GB moaning about the Matt Smith wig I wonder if the entire Doctor Who fanbase are irate hair dressers. [editline]12th September 2013[/editline] Also it's nothing to do with his forehead being wrinkly either. You just hit a certain age where you look a bit silly with spikey hair and skinny jeans. It's a natural thing. Fans were already moaning back in series 4 he was looking a bit silly. By fans I mean Gallifrey Base and other similar hells. [editline]12th September 2013[/editline] Here he is spiked up in a recent interview. See how it shows his age a lot more than the cool fringe he has on the 50th? I love the fringe. #TeamFringe #TeamNotGivingAShitHowAnActorLooks
You're acting as if I'm completely overreacting towards it and moaning constantly. I was just simply saying I don't like it. EDIT: That spiked up hair looks fine to me, maybe a bit longer spiked out but other than that it's fine - obviously it doesn't look that silly if he's still doing it. Like I said it's literally been four years, not long at all. :v
Is it just me or does Paul Mcgann looked Photoshopped in?
Haha GB beat you to it:
1. If McGann is standing he's too short. 2. If McGann is sitting, his knees should be visible in front of Baker. 3. If McGann is kneeling, It's very awkward, especially since he's wearing his Dark Eyes satchel. 4. McGann is incongruously wearing his Dark Eyes costume and satchel while the others are dressed in their street clothes.
It's likely they were all photo'd against a green screen and slotted in at the end. Davison looks like his feet disappear too. Haha man. [editline]12th September 2013[/editline] Oh GB are even saying that fact Mcgann is photoshopped in (in costume) is because it was taken after he had filmed his prequel. Which now they all think will broadcast on 15th November (Children in Need day)
Well what do you think the Doctor Who magazine cover will be in November if not all surviving actors ? :P We have the convention at least.
If Tom Baker, Peter Davison, Colin Baker, Sylvester McCoy, Paul McGann, Christopher Eccleston, David Tennant and Matt Smith all appear together either for a convention or photoshoot - then I'll be surprised. I'm still waiting for the Bonds to appear together.
When do we get a trailer for the prequel????? :v:
