Cool Corky is a fine writer, I don't know what you guys are on. However I would like it if in the future Cool Corky didn't take lead and instead just returned to posting regularly, he was of a much better quality back then. -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Plus side: Holy shit that's a nice book. Would be a great set to own. Down side: I own 3 of those stories already.
So can we confirm that the First Doc's death was from sheer exhaustion, then?
it was just old age which doesn't make any sense because 11 is much older than 1 was, and 11 still looks exactly the same age as he did when he was 900 and something
How? What did I miss?
The Episode Guide, by the looks of it
The Episode Guide, by the looks of it
Well fuck, I just Watch them on ABC1.

But will it contain information on the death of the eighth doctor? Also this is going to cost waaay too much.
it was just old age which doesn't make any sense because 11 is much older than 1 was, and 11 still looks exactly the same age as he did when he was 900 and something
1 had been in that body a lot longer than 11 has been in his body. Plus if you want to be picky, Smith had aged a noticeable amount since he started. Go back and watch the first episode he recorded 'Victory of the Daleks'. My word he was baby faced. 1 was about 300 around the start of series 1. Who knows how many years between then and his regeneration.
I'm guessing the first incarnation works differently to subsequent regenerations, seeing as that's the one they're in from birth. Which is another interesting point: if timelord children die, what do they regenerate into?
But will it contain information on the death of the eighth doctor? Also this is going to cost waaay too much.
Wouldn't it be good if they filmed a special scene for it while both actors can still do the part at the right age? I'm hoping the "Best of Doctor Who" thing from Gatiss (which hasn't been announced yet) will address it. it will apparently contain new specially filmed sequences. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Which is another interesting point: if timelord children die, what do they regenerate into?
Best Moffat cliffhanger.
and the 11th Doctor has been travelling for over 300 years, surely he should be an old man now?
I dunno, Timelords age weird? Different bodies different rules? Nothing stopping Elevens body giving up from exhaustion at the end of the year. Wink wink. That wink wink does not mean I know anything. But I think we should enjoy Matt while we got him. This year. Before Christmas. Let's just say I won't be surprised if there's an empty slot in the Regenerations Box Set for an upcoming episode. I mean all I'm saying is it's a bit odd the front cover of the box set is Eleven regeneration when it doesn't seem to include a story where Eleven regenerates. I'm not saying agents had been contacted in January and February that the lead role in a major BBC science-fiction program had become available with screen tests happening week commencing the 22nd April 2013. I'm just saying it's all in the realm of possibility. -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
[sp]Hedgewick’s World of Wonders was once the greatest theme park in the galaxy, but it’s now the dilapidated home to a shabby showman, a chess-playing dwarf and a dysfunctional army platoon. When the Doctor, Clara, Artie and Angie arrive, the last thing they expect is the re-emergence of one of the Doctor’s oldest foes. The Cybermen are back![/sp]
That's the synopsis for the upcoming Cyberman episode. Yes it mentions [sp]two new companions. AKA the kids Clara looks after. They are in Crimson Horror too.[/sp] ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- One more spoiler for the day. Many websites and sources other than Gallifrey Base are saying at some point either during this year [sp]Paul McGann will appear on screen[/sp]. What that means is anybody's guess.

I think they stop aging after they regenerate.
Non-speaking guest role, random guy drunk at a bar. Walks through the shot for 1.5 seconds. :v:
According to my source a drunk Mcgann broke on to the set while filming the next episode and kept invading shots. They eventually managed to film the episode without him getting in the way but while listening back to the final edit he can be clearly heard shouting "LET ME IN. I'M THE FUCKING DOCTOR YOU SLAGS" and then can be seen being wrestled to the ground in the background during an emotional climax. Seconds later Steven Moffat can be seen bare chested and letting out a mighty battle cry as escorts Paul out of the building. They haven't had time to re-film so I believe they've let the clip remain in the finished cut.
I'm 90% certain that it was said that Smith was on for three years, with the option for an additional two. I know he says "one year at a time" again and again now, but that was the original statement. We're in the fourth.

Ah, VG934.
That was a great video, I loved the Troughton.
Would prefer the music to be turned down a tad
Yay! A new thread! I heard those excellent posters from that one time on version 10 are gonna be back! And this time, it's gonna be twice as long! This can't possibly be disappointing.
DWTV Spoiler-Free Review:
It’s the type of episode you need to watch a few times to really appreciate what is really going on. For a change, the story is decently paced and doesn’t feel rushed. Matt Smith and Jenna-Louise Coleman’s chemistry is evident in the scenes they share together. This is a wonderfully clever episode that demands repeat viewings and is sure to be a fan favourite. It will be a hard one to top!
9.5/10 Full Article *** Score Round-Up: Doctor Who Online: 10/10 Doctor Who TV: 9.5/10 Cultbox: 5/5 Den of Geek: "A real highlight, and lots of fun." Kasterborous: "A particularly pleasing television experience.." SFX: Disappointingly Underwhelming

every review for every episode this half series haven't been below an 8 these reviews are seriously biased as fuck
Oooh, bold :v: I like bold. It lets me be pedantic. :v:
every review for every episode this half series haven't been below an 8 these reviews are seriously biased as fuck
DWO: Hide: 6 DWTV: Rings: 6 Cold War: 7.5 Cultbox: Rings: 3/5 Hide: 3/5
wow somebody gave rings above a 3? jeez
wow somebody gave rings above a 3? jeez
I know I did - so look, two people!
I'd give Rings a 6. Sure it wasn't great Who but it was still enjoyable TV up until the last quarter. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- http://www.digitalspy.co.uk/tv/s7/doctor-who/news/a476433/doctor-who-john-barrowman-wants-captain-jack-river-song-spinoff.html John, stop talking. Also this "I guess they just want to leave me in the past" rubbish you've been talking is getting silly. They asked you back in Series 6. You're either after attention or desperately trying to cover up your involvement and the lies and falling apart around you. I can't tell.

Is it just me, or does the cover of that Regeneration thing look like it's the 11th Doctor regenerating?
Is it just me, or does the cover of that Regeneration thing look like it's the 11th Doctor regenerating?
yeah it sort of does because it is
Nightmare in silver synopsis!

Is it just me, or does the cover of that Regeneration thing look like it's the 11th Doctor regenerating?
You both raise excellent points that I never mentioned on the last page of this thread. [editline]25th April 2013[/editline] Gotta love how David always does these events with the other classic docs. He really loves the show. He's living the dream. His favourite Doctor growing up is now essentially his dad. It worries me Tom is appearing less and less, and was last spotted with a walking cane.
