Ooh that's a nice surprise. Any returnee is a nice surprise.
I hope K9 makes a 50th appearance - he's one of my favourite companions. :D Also wouldn't be surprised if they have the canonical death of Sarah Jane in it.
Sarah Jane will never die dammit
[sp]Could she be the woman in the shop?[/sp]
[sp]how could she when she had to forget all about the doctor?[/sp]
[sp]how could she when she had to forget all about the doctor[/sp]
[sp]The Doctor lies *hehehe*[/sp] Joking aside I think nobody considered this one. We all debated if it was Rose or River. I guess it could [sp]be any past female companion. The door is open, who knows who else is coming back. Now we got Donna it's time to start asking ourselves why Martha couldn't come back? Why should she be the only 10-companion not to? If 10 gets all his companions shouldn't everybody get theirs? Louise Jameson said they were told to keep some days free. I really think every living companion will cameo in some way.[/sp] [editline]9th October 2013[/editline] I also doubt [sp]Donna[/sp] is more than a fleeting cameo.
Anything on par with or less than the previous time and I don't care. Time better spent with Carole Ann Ford & William Russell. <3
just sayin' this [sp]how do you know that the 10th doctor in the 50th is the 10th doctor from series 2 also why would she be being interviewed if it was just a cameo[/sp]

From the article:
‘Ask me anything, I don’t work for the BBC any more so don’t care,’ David quipped before an executive decided to step in!
Sounds legit.

That's why Rose will be with him. And it would make sense for Donna to make an appearance since she had a hand (haha) in creating Meta Crisis Ten.[/sp]

I thought we would be dealing with post Journey's End Ten
A private screening of An Adventure in Space and Time took place last night, apparently.
Robert Ross ‏@RobertWRossEsq 1h 'An Adventure in Space and Time' is perfect. Absolutely perfect. @MarkGatiss will make you laugh & cry. It's what he does...x #DoctorWho

I thought we would be dealing with post Journey's End Ten
[sp]There's still Donna, just with sealed off memories.[/sp] [editline]10th October 2013[/editline] ok i should really stop reading spoilers that was only one.
Well my some of my Doctor Who DVDs came today, (I'm still waiting to get the email saying I can now pick the other two stories up from a bookstore) dived straight into City Of Death and really enjoyed it. Story has a good bit of humour with a surprise cameo from [sp]John Cleese[/sp] to top it all off. I think the Pyramids Of Death will be next on my list. Also on an unrelated note does anyone know what time the newly recovered Doctor Who episodes are being unveiled to us? I heard it was midnight but I caught someone saying that was in Australia and not the UK.
Telegraph TV & Radio‏@Telegraph_TV2m So we're back from the Doctor Who #missingepisodes press conference. Obviously we're sworn to secrecy but be sure to be online at midnight.
Sounds like Web of Fear and Enemy of the World are what to expect. Four from Web and Five from Enemy (making it complete). This is your expectations bar for tonight. Exceed it at your own risk. There is word however that certain sources had it confirmed to them that "rampant speculation" made the aquisition difficult - as was previously discussed.
looks like jon pertwee knew some odd people but cant explain them
I don't even feel that excited by missing episodes. :v

10 minutes until we find out info we've pretty much known for a week unless they surprise us and to celebrate give us a 50th trailer EDIT: Ninth Doctor confirmed for return. :v: (but really it's nine episodes) EDIT2: Also, apparently the episodes are ALREADY on iTunes, so that's a bit anticlimatic. EDIT3: Well there's the official confirmation. It's the episodes we thought they were.
9 is such an amazing number. Wonderful. 9 episodes of Doctor Who thought lost forever. 9! Usually you find 1 or 2 every couple of years. A large bunch were found last year too. How great is this!? But as everybody has said if you buy them the BBC will release more, so I imagine that means the rumoured Marco Polo is there too and is going to be an expensive fix. [editline]11th October 2013[/editline] Oh and we now have the introduction of one of my favourite characters! Lethbridge-Stewart! How chuffed would he be that all his episodes are now safety returned.
Happy 50th. Tony Hall mentions that Doctor Who is what audiences love and expect from the BBC - amoungst others ;)
Gosh I wish I could afford them! Web of Fear is a story I've always wished was returned. Enemy of the World is a Troughton story I've always hoped to see. The only thing better than this would be Episode 4 of Tenth Planet, Power of the Daleks, or Marco Polo. Such a great bit of news.
Images
Are they the actual DVD covers or just preliminary?
Actual covers, as far as I know. Speculation that they are reversible. Roundels versus Moffat-Movie-Style. EDIT: They now come with slip cases from the BBC Shop Notions of Power of the Daleks being located aboard were very unlikely to have truth to them. Terry Nation had plans for a spin-off ("The Destroyers") with his creations and as a result - stories featuring the Daleks weren't shipped around the world in quite the same fashion.
Something worth thinking about: Blogtor Who went to interview Tom Baker and Peter Davison today. Tom Baker hardly makes a public appearance these days let alone interviews with fansites. The interview won't be live until November 4th. Maybe they're talking about 50th involvement which will be revealed around then? Prequel? 50th itself? Who knows.
