Just some edgy kid pretending to know all about psychology and spouting nonsense about the Thirteenth Doctor being female.
Sorry I missed him.
that was the weirdest thing to happen to the DW thread since Space and Time and i didn't like it one bit.
Has anyone from the UK managed to book a ticket for the 3D cinema showings of DotD?
I've been trying to find booking information on my phone as I'm not at home. No Odeon showings near me and the Vue site says " tickets will be available to book shortly".
I thought booking started today.
I saw a post on tumblr saying that they'd got tickets.
A lot of people have gotten tickets. Fandango apparently doesn't have their shit together because it still says that the tickets go on sale today.
What the fuck Fandango, I want to buy five tickets so let me give you my money you poon.
We're talking about tickets?

It's wacky, over the top, family fun. There's no show like it. It's more fantasy than Sci-fi.
I remember reading a quote somewhere (I forget who said it, but I believe it was one of the writers) who said the show is less of a Sci-fi show and more of a Fairy Tale, and I think that's a much more accurate genre label for it.

I don't like that because that means it can go too silly sometimes :v:
I like it more when it stays the same while hanging on to the sci-fi.

Yeah it was Neil Gaiman
http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/10146657
"Doctor Who has never pretended to be hard science fiction," Gaiman said.
"At best Doctor Who is a fairytale, with fairytale logic about this wonderful man in this big blue box who at the beginning of every story lands somewhere where there is a problem..."

I just wish they'd stick with one time travel theory thing instead of just picking random things to be fixed.
Weeping Angels zap you into the past and create a loop. Everything is perfectly tied together and always happened as it did. Oh unless you kill yourself
Well that was annoying to book, Vue's website glitched out twice and kept saying "Please choose an extra 0 Standard Seats" whenever I clicked submit, causing about 7 other seats to be booked, including the ones I had chosen.
At least it finally got done.
Got a couple of tickets booked for my local cinema :v:
Oh my god I just rechecked the theater map and there's one that's gonna play downtown fuck yesss
[editline]e[/editline]
HOLY SHIT didnt even notice, another one that's literally a 10 minute walk from my house holys hit (except this one plays on the 25th :c)

Turns out there's a really sparse number of theaters in NA that's actually showing on the 23rd.
Booked tickets an hour or so ago. Fucking can't wait.

Eh I don't like the fairy tale label. Moffat did it. Series 5 was quite fairytale.
Tom Baker was once asked something about Doctor Who being Sci-Fi the year after he left Who and he basically told the guy that Doctor Who really isn't anything like real Sci-Fi. It's fantasy.

I'm sure it won't be hard to book so I'll worry about it at the weekend.
If I don't book, I'll watch in 2D from the comfort of my own home. 3D with audience is just a nice bonus really.
Update: Fake votes have been discounted. The vast majority of Adric votes (but not all of them) came from a handful of IP addresses using software to stuff the ballot. We eliminated any addresses found to post an excessive number of votes, for Adric or any other candidate. We feel confident only true votes remain.
RIP Adric. You are gone but not forgotten.

So Atlantis was renewed :v:

It's not that bad though. It's a fun watch. It'll be nice to see it find it's feet with a second series.
My main problem is how easily 21st century Jason accepts falling back in time, to the point he starts speaking with ancient turns of phrase.
So for my birthday, my mum bought me one of the limited edition 50th anniversary coins inside TARDIS. The TARDIS makes the take off noise when you set it down or shake it. She also gave me a dalek birthday card.
I had an Amy Pond birthday cake for my 18th.
