I think it was worth it, but I really hope they use it for a long time.
I think it'll work for Capaldi but it's bad for Matt. Too dark for him.

Good for him.
I wonder if all is forgiven between xandercom and the BBC now..........?
I'll forgive him if the 50 Years of Humanism vid gets back up without him giving any trouble for the "theft" of a couple seconds of his work.

Maybe a bit late on this one but it would feel more like Back To The Future than Doctor Who if that was done.
Obvious repost for that

Include David and Matt but no Hurt?
Based on that, and the title, I'd say it's an epilogue. Probably intended for DVD release. Which is why it has the DVD-minisode-esque-title of "Night of the Doctor'.
Goes well with Bad Night, Good Night, First Night, Last Night, and Up All Night.
I just want the music to change.. the current one (www.youtube.com/watch?v=6QGbsNIZ-uo) just doesn't have the kick the previous ones have all had in my opinion.
I love the inclusion of the original, classic 4-beat in the current one.
I love the inclusion of the original, classic 4-beat in the current one.
Isn't the four beat in every iteration of the theme?
Isn't the four beat in every iteration of the theme?
They don't all sound like the original did, though. Some versions have been so muddled that it's not at all distinguishable. Everyone seems to love the Series 4 theme but it's so messy.
Series 7 is a bit messy around the edges, but restored a bit of order to proceedings when the names are credited. A nice, low beat.

I really like this one
I'm a big fan of the Series 7 titles and music. But that trailer music was the best.
The Gold trailer music?

Doctor 12 and Doctor 10 briefly appear in this video to sell poppies. Both look splendid.
Hey, where's the music from the 50th trailer?
Hey, where's the music from the 50th trailer?
Unreleased. :(
there's some rips from the trailer on youtube though, not great quality though
BBC1 idents are going to start being interrupted by The Doctor, apparently. No start date.
I also heard the 12th Doctor announcement on 5 Live about an hour ago (in the other room), but I couldn't go and check it out. If anyone knows why it was being aired again... do share :v:
BBC1 idents are going to start being interrupted by The Doctor, apparently. No start date.
what? explain/sauce pls
Usual GB sources.
How do you mean "interrupted"?
There's a guy who announces what's on next on the BBC while some little bit of footage like this is shown:

Presumably after the next programme has been announced, it'll play a recorded line of matt smith saying something enigmatic.
Wouldn't be the first time the Doctor's antics have affected the idents. Back in March:

I like it when a show does something like that. Simple, yet sets up the atmosphere quite nicely.

So beautiful. So expensive. Out today.
Just annoyed that I bought 1-4 & specials a few days before the blu-ray set was announced =_=

I imagine pretty much anybody involved with the show will have the same attitude. General public too.
It will be a ratings explosion. I just hope it's good so I don't have to say to people "No, it's usually pretty good!"
DigitalSpy also spoke with Tom: http://www.digitalspy.co.uk/tv/s7/doctor-who/news/a528557/doctor-who-anniversary-tom-baker-talks-the-50th-and-fandom.html
