why are you so desperate for bessie to be ripped apart? :'(
i like to think of it as an upgrade :v:
I hope he drives Bessie again one day. Who 50 actually would be better. it does look like two a digit number.

Watched Tomb Of The Cybermen last night and now I'm annoyed because I've run out of stuff to watch now from the classic series. Probably going to get the Key To Time boxset at Christmas along with Series 1-4 (Revival) and the 2009 specials. Maybe revisitations 2 if I can push it.
GALLIFREY RISES! I want surprise Dalton.
GALLIFREY RISES! I want surprise Dalton.
Somebody asked about Dalton on Gallifrey Base or somewhere ages ago and somebody else replied with something vaguely along the lines of "Keep an eye out for a ton of surprising cameos" [editline]11th November 2013[/editline] Wouldn't it be good if in the future Rassilon is only ever played by Bond actors in order.
GALLIFREY RISES! I want surprise Dalton.
That'd be pretty great actually if they got him to reprise his role [sp]since Gallifrey is back and all[/sp]
John Hurt is an amazing Doctor from the brief stuff we've seen. Can't believe I ever thought this was a bad idea. It's so odd seeing Tennant again. It's all so exciting. A spoiler hound says he's "heard nothing" about Night of the Doctor featuring Paul McGann. McGann never denied being involved in a prequel, he only said he wasn't involved in anything 3D which really broke his heart. Night of the Doctor will apparently be in 3D. So eh.
Still awesome.
"Great men are forged in fire. It is the privilege of lesser men to light the flame" "What I did, I did without choice. In the name of peace and sanity" I hope Capaldi-Doctor speaks like Hurt-Doctor. For the record. I am no longer referring to The Doctors by number. Because from what I'm hearing that gets way too confusing at this point.
Of course that clip was preceded by "PLEASE WELCOME, THE TWELFTH DOCTOR!" Any re-numbering nonsense is going to be just that. Welcome to page Hartnell, McCoy, Eccleston!
Yes, one day I shall come back for a fantastic world where the tea's getting cold.
Of course that clip was preceded by "PLEASE WELCOME, THE TWELFTH DOCTOR!" Any re-numbering nonsense is going to be just that.
Actually it's going to be a rather major plot point.. I guess they couldn't really get Zoe Ball to say "PLEASE WELCOME, THE [sp]FOURTEENTH[/sp] DOCTOR" without causing some confusion and ruining a 50th-Christmas plot twist ;) [editline]11th November 2013[/editline]

Doctors with Dark sides. The three Doctors that the audience knew least. Hartnell being the first. Syl had a dark secret. Chris was for a new generation.
[sp]David Tennant is not going to be "The 12th Doctor." Never, ever.[/sp] Absolute bollocks until the day Moffat unleashes his biggest fuck-up. I'll just run around with fingers in my ears, pretending that such a ridiculous thing never happened. [sp]What's Hartnell, then? "The Original First Doctor"[/sp]
[sp]David Tennant is not going to be the 12th Doctor.[/sp] Absolute bollocks until the day Moffat unleashes his biggest fuck-up.
Well it's not so much the title though is it? The rules are 12 regenerations. [sp]And what happened in Journeys End without a doubt was a regeneration which kept the same face[/sp] Basically what I've heard from a fairly reliable sources over the last few months is (Christmas regeneration spoilers) [sp]Matt initiates the 13th regeneration after being given unlimited lives from the Timelords. It's explosive. Atomic in scale. It wipes out a whole Dalek fleet. Infact he does it intentionally to stop the Daleks. Basically the universe doesn't like a Timelord going beyond his limit which is why it explodes[/sp]. The bit that will make the fans angry though is that doing so he (less reliable rumour, that popped up this week) [sp]destroys The TARDIS as we know it[/sp]. There's hints in Name of the Doctor. [sp]The giant trashed TARDIS with Matt's design inside. The lack of any Doctor beyond Matt in the timeline. That's because the Timeline contains The Doctors life as it SHOULD be. Just the 13 lives. That's why there's no body. Because it's perfectly fine and Peter Capaldi[/sp]. Ofcourse that's my interpretation that last bit. But it explains it nicely. Changes the show forever and sets it up for another 50 years. [editline]11th November 2013[/editline] It would be a ballsy confident move. I imagine the same sort of ballsy confident move they made for the Pertwee era. I just don't believe [sp]The Doctor will lose The TARDIS and have to get a new one[/sp]
It is the title. They can't just change. 10 didn't start being referred to as 11 after The Stolen Earth. 11 called himself 11. Hurt has conveniently had the title stripped by the others. Everything is there for the titles not to change. It isn't necessary. Sure, two extra regenerations. But not two extra Doctors which shift the numbering. [sp]If everything is perfectly fine with Capaldi, he can still quite easily be referred to as 12 and not 14 or 1 2.0 - that would be silly.[/sp]
I don't know why you guys try and spoil so much for yourselves. :v:
Because it wasn't an obvious topic for debate the moment Hurt appeared on screen. You get the information some time - it's just a matter of when. I enjoy speculation. Moffat Who would be bleh without it. Now you know and will never wonder.
Don't you want the story told the way it's meant to be told? I mean I'd understand if it was like an indepth description of the thing, like how people enjoy reading books before watching movies - but you guys are just getting small, undetailed sentences which ruin the story. Doesn't seem like much fun. :( Speculation is great, but I don't see how rumours and possible spoilers are, that's all.
I survived Breaking Bad with only one major spoiler (I started watching during the 5.0-5.5 break). I've survived Moffat Who with only Nina-River, G.I. & NOTD Hurt genuinely revealed before time... and the latter two still came out as two of my favourite episodes. I'll survive the 50th (which I know nothing about outside the filming pics / trailer) and Christmas (of which I've only heard bollocks - such as the above). I'm very capable of enjoying a story - even if i've heard 10,000 rumours of what may or may not happen. Perhaps the biggest disappointment, after all this time, will be if McGann doesn't appear in a minisode. The Internet isn't capable of stopping me enjoying Doctor Who. #Grizz2013 http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/331061155572 Guh.

Doctor Who: Legacy and the secrecy surrounding what the heck it is is driving me befuddled. I mean, is it going to be like Worlds in Time? A tribute game based on Series 7/Highlights from over the years? Something cheap and lackluster because the guys who made the Eternty Clock are doing this? What?
Still awesome.
I hope we'll get a full proper version of this someday. [editline]12th November 2013[/editline] Okay, all those spoilers, did I miss something important? [editline]12th November 2013[/editline] Nevermind, just rumors. Well I'll just [sp]keep calling everyone by their numbers, and Hurt as the Hurt-Doctor, or maybe 8.5. Good fucking luck changing that.[/sp]
Tom-Doctor and Colin-Doctor?
what about 5 and 12
I just found out Tegan Jovanka (5th Doctor Companion) is Australian, which brings up my question, how can an Australian be a companion but not a doctor? Considering the doctor can technically become any person he wants.
