As i understand it, it "hadn't happened yet" and therefore wasn't a thing to them. I dunno. to me it seems that it happens any and all time now, but before it happened, it didn't happen anywere or any time. Does that make sense? I don't know much about it but isn't it a matter of it popping into existence at a set time and then happening always? So 1-7 were doctors that were at those places in time before they got wind of the time war.

I think you've nailed it. Time happens as it happens. 1-7 would only know about it if time was a straight line, it's not. That much was established in Blink.

In response to my previous post, (also posted on GB) there's a theory that The Doctor stole The Moment from Gallifrey - under the belief that he would be the only one with the willpower not to use it. Which all changes under the circumstances, of course. Or a Hand of Omega type scenario.

I've read somewhere, maybe a fan theory, that there's some timey wimey thing that makes all time lords relative to Gallifrey - so all Time Lords experience all events on Gallifrey in a set order.
