I was looking through my photos from a few years back... Apparently I did the Hartnell lapel grab thing:

New pics

We have seen the same 3 minutes of footage from many different angles now.
gosh, i hope 10 doesn't go full "m-muh rose"
[sp]"No More" written on the wall[/sp]
Anything to do with [sp]Dalek Sec's speech perhaps?[/sp]
Does anyone else think that the Moment looks like.. a Rose?
Ohh, I wish we had a Star Wars style poster. Those are always epic.
I can try

Hahaha when Rose says 'no more' at 7 seconds (also involves that tardis entrance if you want to avoid it)
I think you've nailed it. Time happens as it happens. 1-7 would only know about it if time was a straight line, it's not. That much was established in Blink.
Then again, there's nothing to say 1-7 didn't know.
So i'm not the only one who was half-laughing and half-nodding in comprehension when it was laid out to us back then.
come to think of it. With the plot of this special, hasn't Doctor Who been going towards this single payoff since 1996? What will they do afterwards? this arch has been going for 7 seasons and been more and more of a focus for the past 3.
Just think, if they're showing us the same few scenes over and over, how much stuff must they feel is worth keeping secret?

I must admit, I really wish they made a sixth doctor dressing gown. I would never wear the coat out in public, but I'd wear the shit out of it for just kicking about the house.

"No more" seems to be the Hurt Doctor reference: "Doctor No More".
Oh by the way. Regarding dead actors and how they could be involved in the 50th: [sp]a long time ago somebody said there would be a shock appearance in the 50th that would blow your mind and make you wonder how the brought somebody back from the dead. Somebody else said a few weeks ago that Nicholas Courtney recorded some dialogue before his death that will be used in a phone call with the Eleventh Doctor, telling him to meet UNIT at the museum. At first I thought this was mad but then I realised Courtney had been fighting illness. It's entirely possible Steven and team got him to record something for the future incase he didn't make it.
Wishful mad fan hope? Probably. But it got me thinking about Tom Baker.
If I was Moffat, I would get Tom Baker and all the other Doctor's to record dialogue for possible use in the 100th? And keep it secret from fans for 50 years.[/sp]

[sp]Isn't the Brig dead at this point in the timeline though? In Power of Three, Kate Stewart talks about him in past tense.[/sp]

[sp]I think Wedding Of River Song has the Doctor being told Brigadier's dead now.[/sp]
You know at this point I'm pretty sure Trenzalore is just a dead Gallifrey. That's not coming from anywhere though, just speculation.

Also regarding McGann, an idea: A cost and time effective way of the BBC making more McGann content is to animate the existing audio stuff?

Gallifrey is timelocked. If the spoilerhounds are right, it's not Gallifrey.
Gallifrey is timelocked. If the spoilerhounds are right, it's not Gallifrey.
If they could get into a dead Skaro they could get into a dead Gallifrey. Didn't they do that? Or am I remembering completely wrong..
EDIT: Yeah, they did. The timewar was timelocked, not the planets specifically. That's what I think anyway.
The Doctor has made it pretty clear that Gallifrey was 'destroyed,' however.
At any other point, the lock effectively removes it from existence. The same was not put on Skaro, which had just been devastated.

What was the video? It seems to have been removed.
It was another trailer from another TV station full of spoilery stuff.
All the trailers and pictures and clips so far have just shown the same 4-5 scenes from multiple angles. That removed trailer had a bit more.
it's taking all of the self control I have to not watch that trailer...
Dalek Caan: My planet is gone. Destroyed in a great war.
Was it ever properly confirmed specifically what the timelock affects and what it doesn't? I've been looking and I can't find anything that's concrete proof.

Pompeii was destroyed too, but there are still ruins of it.
Wonder how it is to be present Doctor and meet past doctor and think of all the good shit that's gonna happen to him in his early 11 days. That must be such a weird feeling. Not to mention the extreme need to warn him of events to prevent losses. Christ.
Pompeii was destroyed too, but there are still ruins of it.
Exactly, I can totally see Trenzalore being the ruins of Gallifrey.
It just makes too much sense. Gallifrey had amazing golden fields? And then the Eleventh dies on the fields of Trenzalore. There was a great war at Trenzalore where so many lives were lost? The timewar. Where else would the Doctor be buried other than HIS HOME PLANET?

Except we've seen Skaro. It physically still exists. It's abandoned. Wheras Gallifrey and the time-war itself has been taken out of existence. As seen in The End of Time.

I still thin Trenzalore will [sp]be a Christmas themed planet[/sp] as indicated by spoilers. Mainly as: Gallifrey doesn't physically exist anymore, and [sp]by the time of Christmas Special Gallifrey is allegedly restored on okay[/sp]
Except we've seen Skaro. It physically still exists. It's abandoned.
But maybe we've seen Gallifrey too and we've not realized it.
Wheras Gallifrey and the time-war itself has been taken out of existence. All the 10th Doctor did was push Rassilon and gallifrey back to where they came from - not to a new place.
Please note: There's no way I'm reading the spoilers, as stated previously if you guys want to ruin it for yourself that's fine but I want to speculate and then get given the answer in the proper, probably awesome, way. :v:
How do we KNOW Gallifrey doesn't exist anymore, has it ever been specifically stated? I'm looking for quotes but I can't seem to find any that are more clear than the Skaro ones were...

Well nobody can physically go to Gallifrey because it's Time Locked. It sent Khan insane. The Doctor said he could physically never return due to the time lock. He's always said it was destroyed and then timelocked. So they can't even visit ruined Gallifrey. So Trenzalore can't be Gallifrey or they physically wouldn't be able to visit it. Also when they brought Gallifrey out of the Time War it started to phase into existence, we SAW that. Then when it went back it faded away.
My personal speculation is that Trenzlore will be the Moffat equivalent of RTD's Time War. If I had to guess, Trenzalore will be another battleground where The Doctor loses all dear to him and ultimately commits genocide. Setting up for another war torn Doctor born out of survival.

Nowhere was it stated the physical planet was destroyed, nowhere. If the Doctor was the one who put the timelock on it, maybe he's one of the only beings on the universe who knows what Trenzalore really is and that's why nobody visits it.
The wiki says 'A time lock was a mechanism whereby an event or series of events was rendered unreachable by time travel.' and if that's true (which is might not be) that means the events on Gallifrey are timelocked - not Gallifrey itself. It was okay for the remains of Gallifrey not to be timelocked because there were no timelords left on it at that point.

But then why is River's grave there? Why is The Doctors timeline there? Why is a destroyed Eleventh Doctor TARDIS there?
The whole universe seems interested in stopping the battle of Trenzalore ever happening. They locked him in the Pandorica to stop it. Time War was just the Daleks, Trenzalore no doubt had loads of species.
..why would they change the name from Gallifrey to Trenzalore?
your theory makes 0 sense, good try though
