the doctor felt out of character, unless the doctor is becoming more evil.
I really hate that Clara is literally the perfect person, I mean there HAS to be something wrong with her because she's too perfect to be an actual human
I'm leaning toward she's actually The Master, maybe a Sontaran in a human body
Obviously, she's a closet furry. Clearly.

how was he evil this episode?
No power of love this episode, it was awesome
Next EP looks interesting. [sp] I saw old Pete's world cybermen (they had a cybus logo on their chests), it would be cool if the Pete's world Cybermen merged with the Mondas ones to make the new ones [/sp]
I LOVED the sonic screwdriver fake out they did in that episode. Hope it happens more often with Clara.
An episode that wasn't full of the usual power of love, timey-wimey or side love-story tropes. Even the sonic was shunned for a wooden chair. Sometimes, I guess wood wins.

Fun fact from the wiki: "The red leech is a reference to "the repulsive story of the red leech", a Sherlock Holmes adventure mentioned by Dr. Watson in "The Adventure of the Golden Pince-Nez"". This further concretes the identity of Sherlock Holmes they put on themselves then. Neat.
Does anyone know if the new Cybermen are Mondas or Pete's World?
I assume Mondas because of the way they look and move, AKA: More Human like, like the original Mondas Cybermen.
4.61 million.
The fuck, BBC? Would it kill you to promote the show before the series ends? Dipping in to Hungry Earth territory now. Even the timeshift isn't recovering quite as well. Can we go back to the cold, dark winter nights? :v:
Negativity over, still the 4th most watched show on the BBC and the audience share is still good. iPlayer requests would be nice to see again. When (admittedly, unfairly) combined with finals, all of 7a topped 9m.
Not even I bother watching it live.
Not only because of the sun. But because it's not as exciting. It can wait. Even the "Yay" episodes like last night aren't as great as good episodes of everything before Series 7b.
The whole of 7b has felt rushed as hell.
The only reason I watch it the same day at all is so I can come on her without having it ruined.
I'm confused, what are the Doctors returning for? And if they're capturing all the Doctors, wouldn't that mean they'd still return just maybe not be a major character?
The 50th Anniversary. Sometimes for Anniversary episodes Doctors return.
In the script for the 50th it was The Ninth Doctor, The Tenth Doctor, and The Eleventh Doctor working together to save the day.
But Chris had to drop out so it's now just The Tenth and The Eleventh.

Next week somebody says "Allons-y".
Streaming the first 2 Sixth Doctor serials (The Twin Dilemma and Attack of the Cybermen) in a few minutes, come on down:

I really hope it's Mondas, but from the preview it seems like they might not be.
Stream's all good now, sorry for screwing it up: http://livestream.com/coolcorky
We're watching literally the worst story of all time

He already left a guy in a ship that got hit by a rocket in the dinosaur one.
And he dropped the Sycorax leader off the top of his own ship and he left that douchebag kid from The Long Game at home with a fucking vent in his head.
The Doctor's always been vindictive to those who deserve it.
I often wonder what happened to that guy
I wonder why they all didn't burn when the rocket launched.

Can't forget the smug pieces of shit from The Family of Blood.

Surprised the Doctor had enough willpower to not just execute this shit head.
That fucking smug grin never leaves his face for the entire episode ughgh
The part where the Doctor first appeared was fucking terrifying
well not the "last image in their eyes" thing but the other
one of the best episodes imo
My thoughts:
- Strax. Funny and well played by Dan Starkey. I would like an episode with just Strax in the future. I don't like how stupid he's become though. Before he was obsessed with violence and war yet couldn't partake in it due to his agreement with The Doctor. He was a medic. I never get the impression he was stupid until he reappeared.
- Jenny finally becoming more than "Lesbian Lizard Lover". Notice how a gay writer makes much less of a big deal about the Jenny&Vastra relationship. It's treated as a normality, it's background. Like it should be. No other character has their relationship thrust into the foreground so why should these two just because they're gay? With Moffat it's a punchline brought up constantly for no reason.
- The acting is great. As if this needs saying. Everybody is putting out the best performance they can muster with the material. Smith is becoming better with each week. I'll really miss him.
- The flashback sequence and Doctor's absence was good.
- The story. Felt like early Tom Baker Who. Paced well. Ending wasn't tacked on.
- Vastra continues to do nothing but sit around and talk. What happened to the tounge lashing, sword wielding bad ass?
- Clara continues to be just there. No major personality. Hide was a great episode for Clara. She seems to have much less to work with again. She's a plot point. That's it. I honestly couldn't break down Claras personality that easily. I could probably do it but I'd struggle. But Jenna really is marvellous.
Jenna is amazing, but her character.. Eh, it really needs to be developed some more.
Jenna sorta feels like that type of character who just sits there, smiles and pulls off that one odd zinger or one-liner to show she isn't that one of those girly girls who depends on the men to be there.
But I do think she's had some good moments and bad moments.
Going to stream the entirety of series 6. Anyone interesting in watching?
Jenna is amazing, but her character.. Eh, it really needs to be developed some more.
It's the mid-season introduction with blockbuster episodes with no time to slow down. Ridiculous choice. Oddly enough, Neil Cross has indeed made the best effort, IMO. Gave Clara things to do.
well, if anyone's interested i'm gonna watch it and stream it anyway
