I've watched the 2005 series plenty of times, but not the 1963-1989 series so much, I can see that I am missing some major points here and if anyone could give me a really brief rundown that would be great since I have no clue what is going on :v:

There's absolutely nothing in the classic series that you need to know which you haven't been introduced to already. Do you have a specific question?
If it's about the time war, that was never part of the classic series. That was something created as part of the new series. So was John Hurt's Doctor.

Going to be funny tomorrow, watching An Adventure In Space And Time on my HDTV then switching my aerial lead and audio cable over in a matter of minutes or maybe even seconds to my SD display to watch the first few Doctor Who episodes.
I've got collage the day after and I have to get up at six o'clock, the old episodes finish at midnight but I don't give a damn because I'm hooked on Classic Doctor Who at the moment and I've run out of DVDs to watch.
