Avatar.
Fucking automerge.
Because the that was BEFORE The Doctor used The Moment.
Timothy Dalton even says that.
People need to up their understanding of The Whoniverse :D.
The Time War still happened, everything that happened in 9 and 10's era still happened because they didn't remember. They thought that they had used the moment.
What's more important is that it shows that even in his darkest moment THE DOCTOR STAYS TRUE TO THE PROMISE HE MADE TO HIMSELF.
I'm guessing no Barrowman? :'(
Jack is mentioned, and something hes used appears, but not him.
[sp]Holy shit that Capaldi
I dont know what to think. They definitely shouldnt have gone the way of completely not using the moment, though. This causes a lot of problems for other previous episodes.[/sp]

[sp]The only real problem I can think of is End of Time.[/sp]

How? everything can be explianed.
After thinking about it some more, i don't really think that was too good an episode storywise. [sp] The Zygon plot was just solved offscreen without any real mention and wasn't actually needed, UNIT was kinda pointless as well and didn't really do anything at all, the scenes of the Timewar were disappointing and the one dark moment of the Doctor has now been completely retconned.
Every time in an episode where the Time war has been mentioned is now meaningless. [/sp]
They ruined all the Mystery. For example, this whole scene is completely irrelevant now:

Instead, it's an "Everybody lives!" now (Except the Daleks). It seems like the only thing this latest episode good was the constant references to the previous Doctors.
People need to remember that the war doctor FORGETS what happens and still believes he killed off his own people... because his timeline still remains the same, it doesn't alter. The only point his timeline changes is when he is the 11th Doctor at THAT moment.
[sp]The only real problem I can think of is End of Time.[/sp]
Whats the problem?
[sp]The only real problem I can think of is End of Time.[/sp]
Even that's not a problem as it's set at the exact same time as The Doctor stealing The Moment.
The reason Rassilon escapes the Time War in that episode is because he thinks The Doctor is about to use The Moment.
[sp]The High Council's plans were mentioned. The End of Time is safe.[/sp]
So, hey. By the way.
The cinema - no regrets. Great atmosphere. Fantastic mini-films with Strax and 10/11 prior to the feature starting. I was next to a Clara cosplayer and a girl who was quite the excitable Tennant fan. But she kept control, as did everyone, really. Apart from a few moments towards the end. It was superb. Brilliant. Fantastic. Incredible.
Good overall episode. Those who watched it in the cinema got two exclusive clips. One of the Strax telling the audience to turn their phones off and one clip of Smith and Tennant talking about the 50th / 100th
Since John stayed true to the promise of The Doctor [sp]Not killing everyone on Gallifrey[/sp] I think we should call him the 9th Doctor, considering the others also [sp]Gave him the title back[/sp], he was here with the other doctors and the timelords call [sp]Peter Calapdi the 13th or atleast mentioned 13 tardis's[/sp].
The Doctor still absolutely believes it happened. The Daleks still believe it happened. The entire universe still believes it happens.

Because they don't know about him not using the title.
Moffat has said it before, and they just said it on the Afterparty. Hurt is "War Doctor". Chris is still 9.
So...David Tennants last episode as the doctor. Where the Leaders of gallifrey try to pull gallifrey through to the Earths Galaxy... Was that them trying to pull out of the Pocket Universe they are now in!? And the doctor just sent them back. OH SNAP?

This explanation has occurred to me and I think it makes sense.

I completely agree. Which is why it really is painful if you think about it, the Doctor has a false memory of him destroying his planet.
is it really so hard to understand?
almost nothing has changed whatsoever, Gallifrey has been there the whole time 9, 10 and 11 have been running around, they just didn't know it because presumably Hurt's memory was wiped when he regenerated into 9.
Why should anyone use spoiler tags?
Canadians have to wait two more days to watch it and some countries don't get it at all.
Canadians have to wait two more days to watch it and some countries don't get it at all.
then reading this thread would be a very silly thing to do
presumably Hurt's memory was wiped when he regenerated into 9.
Not presumably, they say right in the episode they will forget.

What? It aired the exact same time in Canada. I watched it on Space, aired the same time as everyone else who watched it.
Canadians have to wait two more days to watch it and some countries don't get it at all.
Then are they really going to come into this thread?
Over 80 countries. It was over 90 according to Moffat on the radio. All got it at the same time.
Seeing as the Moment hasn't been used, it's safe to say that it could be used in the future.
Just pointing it out
I would have written it where they put the planet into a pocket universe then used the moment to get rid of all the daleks.
