Yes it appears [sp]somebody recorded a new line for the First Doctor[/sp] which is brilliant.
No shit sherlock, that's the entire point. Nothing changed at all EXCEPT FROM THE 11th DOCTOR'S VIEWPOINT. 9 and 10 still think they sentenced the Time Lords to death. Only 11 remembers that it's not the case.
No, I mean it's still essentially in a time lock, lost and very difficult to bring back - but it's still possible to. Just like it was before the episode.
Yes it appears [sp]somebody recorded a new line for the First Doctor[/sp] which is brilliant.
This still blows my mind. Or is it just something unused from some point? [sp]Hartnell is afterall in the credits. No other person playing Hartnell is mentioned[/sp] [editline]24th November 2013[/editline] "Or perhaps you were me... congratulations" This feels so unscripted. It's perfect.
Or is it just something unused from some point?
[sp]I don't think Hartnell ever mentioned Gallifrey. By 'ever' I mean, in The Three Doctors.[/sp] Presumed Transcript: [sp]1: Calling the War Council of Gallifrey! This is The Doctor! 11: You might say, I've been doing this all my lives! 2: Good Luck! 3: Stand by! 1: Ready! 4: Commencing calculations! 5: Nearly there! 7: Across the boundaries that divide one universe from a-a-a-a-another! 6: Got a lock on to his coordinates! 9: ...and for my next trick! 12: *EPIC EYEBROWS* 11: Gentlemen. We're ready. GERONIMO! 10: ALLONS-Y! 8.5: Oh.. FOR GOD'S SAKE! GALLIFREY STANDS! [/sp] Who ever could have imagined.... *weep*
First reflection: Negatives: -No Eccleston -Story overall wasn't the best ever in the world ever (but specials never can be, it was still extremely good) -Not enough Dalek action imo Positives: +Literally everything else was amazing and I exploded. Too many to list. Overall? Pretty damn good. EDIT: Also, was the stone dust ever analysed? What became of it? Probably explained but I forget.
OH MY GOD that was SO good holy SHIT
Didn't Tennant throw away his old screwdriver in the episode where he meets martha jones?
No but it did get busted as 11 in his first episode though. [editline]ok[/editline] Apparently it was blown up as 10 as well.

[sp]But yeah, you probably googled it yourself but the 7 line is from Battlefield. Nice they did a new First Doctor line. Missed oppurtunity to record new line from each classic? Maybe. I don't even care. I'm going to be forever wondering if it's really them under the sheets as stand-ins for the Zygons.[/sp]
EDIT: Also, was the stone dust ever analysed? What became of it? Probably explained but I forget.
It was just statues.
Hope the 75th is as good as this.
[sp] the tom baker cameo and the peter capaldi appearance were probably the best things in the universe [/sp]
Edited transcript slightly, on 1000th re-watch.
No but it did get busted as 11 in his first episode though.
Actually both. He blew up his screwdriver with Martha (and think got a slightly different one to the one 9 had), then Eleven blew his up. Then 11 had his eaten by a shark. But the point is, it's the same software downloaded into each new Screwdriver.
No but it did get busted as 11 in his first episode though. <Big image here>
The software survived though and that's what matters right? Still the same Screwdriver but only a different shell.
And what a change in direction for the show that was so very needed. I'm really, really excited for the future of the show now, its moving forward and that's exactly what the 50th should have been about.
Den of Geek Review: Link *** A little piece of the Doctor Who universe has been slotted back in to place. Not in a harmful way, either. [sp]How could Gallifrey be saved and yet not come with the baggage of bringing back the Time Lords?[/sp] Enter The Day of The Doctor. At least, it's that way for now. Who knows what this new direction will bring. But I'm excited to find out!
So basically we can compare the 50th to a jar of marmite, it's a love/hate relationship
Soooooooo... The Doctor no longer is a horrible murderer of children. Does this mean he can go back to being a murderer of aliens instead of pussy footing round the issue?

A DOCTOR WHO FAN CAN NEVER BE SATISFIED :v:
First reflection: EDIT: Also, was the stone dust ever analysed? What became of it? Probably explained but I forget.
They realized that it was the statues. Oh, bravo Moffat, this episode was great, and also retconed the reason why tenth said "I don't want to go", wich is a very good thing.

I just realised why the Doctor cares so much about Fez's, they were part of Gallifrean fashion.

That doesn't indicate a Nazi logo which I assume you're thinking, the swastika is a symbol of different things

used as a symbol of peace before hitler got a hold of it [editline]23rd November 2013[/editline]
I just realised why the Doctor cares so much about Fez's, they were part of Gallifrean fashion.
AND HOLY SHIT
its also an alien planet so it can really mean anything
That doesn't indicate a Nazi logo which I assume you're thinking, the swastika is a symbol of different things
So its a coincidence that an alien race just happens to be wearing clothing that shows a symbol which represents one of the religions of another planet?
Anyone think we'll get to see Ice Warriors again?
I look forward to Peter Capaldi now. If he [sp]finds Gallifrey then perhaps the Time Lords there will grant him more regenerations as a thank you for saving them.[/sp]
Meanwhile, Gallifreybase is roleplaying like it's 23 Nov 1963. [t]http://puu.sh/5rpF0.png[/t]
So Dan, going by the teaser for the Xmas special, are the leaks true then?
[sp]How did all the Doctors know to start working on the calculation and to help freeze Gallifrey?[/sp]
