The Time of the Doctor of the Daleks
The Time of the Fantastic Mr. Doctor
I've watched the special like 5 times now and it's STILL AWESOME god I need this show to come back on like now
Some people watch Star Wars: A New Hope when they're sick, others watch the Wrath of Khan or a feel-good film that they love. Personally I'm watching Day of the Doctor it was that good.
How many U.S. viewers tuned in for “Day of the Doctor”? Enough to break BBC America’s all-time ratings record. A total of 2.4 million viewers watched the Doctor Who 50th anniversary special’s first telecast at 2:50 p.m. ET on Saturday. That total rose to 3.6 million once including the show’s encore. Plus BBC America hosted simulcast screenings in 11 cities. On Twitter, Doctor Who overall generated a total of 1.8 million tweets, beating every show on cable for the week.
Badda Bing

More 9th Doctor Eccleston pictures are more then welcome, they are hilarious :v:
What i'm hoping is that capaldi isn't a timelord who takes the name of The current doctor and just carries on wouldn't feel the same and wouldn't have his history.
Why would he? Each time lord has 12 regenerations, which makes 13 doctors.
1 - Hartnell 2 - Troughton 3 - Pertwee 4 - King Baker 5 - Davison 6 - Baker 7 - McCoy 8 - McGann 9 - Hurt 10 - Eccleston 11 - Tennant 12 - Tennant 2 13 - Smith The Journeys End regeneration will be explained as counting. So Matt is the 11th Doctor. But the 13th incarnation.
Hang on, what about in "Lets Kill Hitler" when River poisons the doctor and then give him some of her Regeneration to heal him.
Capaldi sent a birthday card to a fan. What a nice guy. In it he describes his Doctor. Here it is
If there's anyone from DENMARK in here, DR has uploaded Day of the Doctor on their website. http://www.dr.dk/tv/se/doctor-who/doctor-who-50th-anniversary-episode/#!/
The website Screen Daily is reporting that the 3D cinema showings of The Day of the Doctor, which took place in tandem with its television début on BBC One at the weekend, earned £1.7 million ($2.2 million) in Britain, enough to propel the story to third place at the UK box office for the weekend. The 50th anniversary special was therefore behind only the Hollywood blockbusters The Hunger Games: Catching Fire (£12.2 million) and Gravity (£2.4 million) in this week's chart. Screen Daily also reports that this is the first week in which releases from Event Cinema, which handled the distribution of The Day of the Doctor for the BBC, have been included in the UK box office chart. The reported figure comes from showings on 450 screens on Saturday. As previously-reported, The Day of the Doctor was also a success in the television ratings, gaining over 10 million viewers on overnight figures alone - only the sixth episode of Doctor Who to achieve this feat since the series returned in 2005.

Time to kick the movie into production. If all 10 million viewers bought a £8 cinema ticket they'd be rolling in it. Specially if they made it on the same budget as the 50th.
Also, Capaldi is on this poster: And people say Capaldi isn't hot.
Twin regeneration?
Great men are forged in fire.

Another fanliest scene reaction.
So do we know how voiced the 1st doctor in the episode when he said "Calling high councils of Gallifrey" or something among those words.
John Guilor, I believe?

Anyone by any chance got the video showed in the cinemas before the anniversary? Stupid cheering fans made it impossible to listen to :C
I really like this theory (contains "spoilers" from Moffat interview from back in October). Moffat better not disappoint.
