ye grizz that's a bit shady
I think it would of been interesting to see the original Doctor Who carry on into the 90s and into the 00s. I'm willing to bet it would of gotten better as it became more appreciated within the BBC and would of had it's budget increased. I'm willing to guess that as the folks who worked on the show in the 80s left in the 90s the show would get a new lease of life with many good crew members and writers willing to take their place.
If Doctor Who carried on as it did, no it wouldn't. In a perfect world Doctor Who would've been rested when Tom Baker left. It was starting to look a bit ancient, especially with Star Wars exploding onto screens. It was tired. Everything after that period didn't really add to the show. Nothing new came through until the very very end. A 5 year break after Tom left would've allowed it to return to the BBC like a returning hero. It's just when it got to the Davison era, every director and producer and writer had stopped taking it seriously. Breaks are healthy. The Specials break was a good idea, it's just a shame we've only had one full run since then, because it makes it feel like Doctor Who has never ran the same since.

This is amazing
The Daleks seem to have got Storm Trooper syndrome.
my theory is that a massive time war meant that the daleks had to reduce the quality to pump up the production

So any fault it had was reason to try and kill it, warriors of the deep documentary talks about what happens when the push the limits in rushing something while someone hire up trying to kill it regardless. Yes though, it did need a break when it came to warriors of the deep.
Rewatching the 50th again. Here's how I feel every day. I don't like it.

I went and saw the 50th at the cinema with my brother yesterday. I get the feeling we're some of the only ones who didn't really like it at all? We were fully expecting it to carry on right where the latest episode left off, but instead it kind of just wallowed around giving fan service to the viewers for an hour and a half... Where does the 50th sit chronologically with the latest episode? Did they just causally walk out of Trenzalore and go back to being all lovey dovey happy adventure fun time again? I guess this was kind of the intention of the 50th though, to be more fan service rather than plot advancement due to the celebration of 50 years right? I'm assuming the next episode (with Matt's departure and all) will be totally full-on to make up for it. But it was funny because almost the entire audience left the cinema going "Well that wasn't very good..." - seriously, and half of them were all dressed up and giddy big time Dr Who fans so that was sad to see. I also wish I hadn't seen it at the cinema either as the whole attempt at 3D really ruined it (just reminded me why I hate 3D so much), I kept closing one eye or taking off the glasses because it looked so much better without it. Anyway, don't want to be negative, we were all just expecting something radically different. The whole cinema thing probably made people expect something more grandiose perhaps?
holy shit, never visit the river song wiki page on the tardis wikia if you havent finished series 6 yet so much is ruined for me. . .
No one has noticed the edit I made to my Steam avatar... Makes me a little sad that I didn't just half ass the edit.

You can tell it's different than it was is the thing. Most of my friends check when I change something because I very rarely change my avatar.
I was watching the 50th anniversary special the other day, and my mom walked in right near the end when Tom Baker showed up. "Oh my god! Is that who I think it is?" She was so happy to see her favorite Doctor on the screen again. She made me watch that scene like five times in a row.
Is it just me who thinks Capaldi will bring more maturity to the show? Like I know they appeal to everyone such as kids, adults, etc but I feel like they're slowly leaning towards older viewers

That's adorable.
Matt Smith talks Capaldi https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jw9MP6CTLM8 So does Charlotte Moore:
BBC One Controller, Charlotte Moore has said that she is "very excited" by Peter Capaldi's first scenes on Doctor Who. Speaking today (December 2) at a BAFTA session, Moore promised that the Thick of It star is "going to be a really fantastic Doctor". "He's an extraordinary actor with amazing ability and just watching the first scenes come through… I'm very excited," she said.

"In x years i've never y'd any-z that wasn't Important"
Love that template.
