Genesis of the Cybermen sounds great. Way too ambitious for JNT Who.
Rise of the Cybermen/Age of Steel should've been the genesis story for the Mondas Cybermen- not a reboot of the Cybermen. Everything else in the series was a continuation of the classic series, but making the new Cybermen was a wrong move in my eyes. It's still never entirely clear what Cybermen we're dealing with. And if we are dealing with Alt-universe Cybermen then why have they managed to replicate and build ships so easily? Where are the Mondas Cybermen? Why do Mondas Cybermen and Alt-universe Cybermen look the same and plan the same and think the same despite being so different in the past?
That 90's Cyberman is so 90's. Way too monstrous. Looks like something out of Powerrangers. I've never bought it as a legit image anyway, the episode never went far into production so I doubt they had Cybermen designs, let a lone a picture.

It only makes sense, the John Lumic ones were seeking better technology and the Mondas ones were probably intrigued by the possibility of the alternative versions of their race and what possible advantages they may hold. One thing though, if "A Good Man Goes to War" is set in the 51st century and the cybermen look the same as the 2006 ones, what year is Nightmare in Silver set?
I've always thought that the Mondas Cybermen created two types of Cybermen, or that they "upgraded" to the next version with improved armour and features ect.
