he's probably a stunt double for other people as well, why bother hiring two people if the same guy works fine
I've been re-watching all the regeneration scenes and now I'm really excited for the regeneration scene at Christmas.
I always smile the moment after the 11th Doctor appears after regenerating. Sort of disappoints me though, the Moffat era has had its fair share of issues with me and its only really now that things are starting to (seemingly) get better that he leaves the show.
The cinema intros. Not great quality, but yeah. It was fun. Actually, it was more than that - it got my excitement to the max. [sp]When John Hurt appears at the end, ooo, goosebumps. So good.[/sp] Someone had a crazy theory that the zygon plot was resolved in this opening bit. They are now among us. :v: (also it got rid of all the noise for when david tennant first appears, not that there was much) EDIT: Also, how did I not know about this? If Tristan Beint's (played Tom the teacher in DOTD) tweets were hints suggesting he's going to be a companion in Series 8 then it's pretty clever. 1963: Two Coal Hill teachers (Ian and Barbara) travel with a mysterious elderly alien (played by a 55 year old actor known for doing hard authority figures) as he tries to find his way home. 2014: Two Coal Hill teachers (Tom and Clara) travel with a mysterious elderly alien (played by a 55 year old actor known for doing hard authority figures) as he tries to find his way home. [editline]6th December 2013[/editline]
EDIT: Also, how did I not know about this?
I loved this when it came out last year. Matt manages to stay in the zone the longest. I just love it. I think somebody said it was improvised. [editline]6th December 2013[/editline] It's always fun watching the new Doctor act like the old Doctor: Tennant folds his arms, smiles, and turns his head like Eccleston. Then you get those really intense personal moments with Rose. This isn't The Tenth Doctor who bounced around like he a sugar rush, cracked his voice when he got excited, and pulls great big facial expressions with wide body movements. The way he stops running and leans onto the TARDIS is more 9 than it is 10. It's weird this scene is so often brought up when discussing 11. Nothing that happens here would be an 11 thing to do. He's less whimsy, less hand gestures, and talks his thought process through as he goes. He lacks any manners as he invades Amelia's home, throws food about and talks with his mouth open, and randomly raising his voice from low level talk to a slight shout. Classic Ten. From what Moffat has teased, we know Capaldi will be doing an incredible Matt Smith impression come Christmas (and in his first episode). I can't wait to see it. It makes The Doctor feel like the same man as the new personality slowly saunters in.
The moment 11 truly becomes 11 is this moment imo: http://youtu.be/Hl_dW4irgbA?t=29s He's finally got his clothes sorted, he's just made one badass speech and beaten his first foe in his new body and he's ready to become a new man. The way he steps through Tennant's face is very symbolic. He truly is the Doctor.
Okay, I don't know if this is late, okay, but get this: In season 3 episode 5 (Daleks in Manhattan), Andrew Garfield plays Frank. Andrew Garfield also plays Spiderman. Andrew Garfield is taken by the pig peoples, presumably to be pigginated. Think about it. Spiderpig.
It's probably extremely sad of me to notice this, but:

[sp]No St. John's Ambulance sticker[/sp]

Is it just me or does/did the jacket on 'Eccleston' look too big?
Eccleston double reminds me of the dude who plays Owen Harper on Torchwood.
McCoy's double reminds me of some of the blokes I've seen in Doctor cosplay.

I'm thinking The Church (from Time of Angels/Good Man Goes to War)?
So I just rewatched The Day of the Doctor. The Curator is the Doctor right? Why does 11 remember the events of the episode then? Or at least the conversation with New4 at the end and that Gallifrey didn't fall? He's crossing into his timestream, there's another future Doctor present.
I'm thinking The Church (from Time of Angels/Good Man Goes to War)?
Oh fuck yes
I'm sorry if this is terrible guys, but I couldn't resist:
That's scarily accurate.

It was just they were backing into eachothers timelines and they weren't supposed to. The 11 and New4 (I think I might call him The Final Doctor as he's retired) meeting was supposed to happen. "It's in your contract Peter. Please me. Now smile!"
Oh fuck yes
It's looking more and more like a satisfying culmination of the Silence Will Fall arc.
Doctor Who writer and producer Steven Moffat said: "The Doctor's thousands of years old, they've never been able to find an actor old enough to play him." Peter agreed: "I'm 1,995 years too young to play him, really. So I think he's going to be quite happy to look his age."
I still love this episode, don't know why everybody else doesn't like it. Silly but that speech though.
Award winning performance from Matt in my eyes.
God, I loved that speech scene so damn much. Shame Clara had to ruin it with a leaf.
Great scene, disliked the overall episode. [editline]7th December 2013[/editline] Also I sort of hope Matt regenerates into Capaldi during a scene of action (or somehow it leads to action). Looking back, it worked pretty well for David > Matt since you're instantly plunged into it. They can't destroy the TARDIS this time though since they're almost certainly using it next season. Unless it rebuilds into the same old thing of course.

When I imagined that sort of regeneration I imagined the Doctor frantically flying the TARDIS for some reason. Clara is almost screaming at him 'Doctor, you're hurt!' and he's almost crying just saying 'no no no no I've got to keep going, I've got to save X'. He goes behind the centre column of the console for a second, a flash of yellow light bursts from behind it and then suddenly he's Capaldi when he comes back out the other side, still going. He regenerates trying to save someone. I doubt it'll happen, and I doubt it'd even be good - but it'd certainly be interesting. I think, at least. Chances are though it will be very ceremonious like David's. EDIT: And of course, this would lead to Clara crying because she didn't even get to properly say goodbye to what is essentially her Doctor.
I love the ceremonious regenerations, but your idea is also great.
