I really hope that the plot for the fiftieth of finding Gallifrey isn't resolved in series eight. Fifty years of celebration and moving forward just to be resolved in one series doesn't seem that cricket, to me

It has nothing in common with Gallifrey (other than the fact it was missing). But they used a CGI image of a planet that looks like Gallifrey to illustrate the article.
So we'll call it Gallifrey anyway. The comments are fun.
I remember when season '5' first aired, I honestly believed they'd got someone new to do the music... It was easily Murray's best work to date, and I can absolutely see why they keep re-using it, I never get tired of hearing it. Yes, new is always good, but damn he hit a winner with Smith's theme.
On the topic of Dr Who music, does anyone know if Murray ever released a clean version of this exact theme?;

The series 5 trailer from the end of the Eleventh Hour. It's a unique mix... Everyone just says "It's The Eleventh Hour or that one from the Proms" but it's not. There are a few rips out there but the quality is poor and the volume is up and down due to removing all the scene noise. I would KILL for a clean version of this!! :(

Series 5 had it all.
Moffat and the new production team were gods after The Eleventh Hour. Even the earliest trailer was refreshing after The End of Time.

I think what made 5 work so well is how well planned it felt. It felt totally fresh and exciting, while still keeping the same format.
I think 6&7 would have felt like better series if they had been straight runs.

Other than that attempted act of tyranny, I really do think Adam Smith was the best director from the Moffat era.
My only problem with the upcoming episode is that apart from maybe one or two small times, Moffat's uses of the Weeping Angels since Blink have been [I]terrible[/I] and seem to have forgotten what made them scary in the first place.
Moffat fucking sucks with re-occurring monsters. Silence might be good though, if handled properly.

I tried. It's not perfect. It's some of the choral mix which is missing from the soundtracks.

series 5 is the best NuWho series in my opinion.
Then series 6 is a train wreck, apart from the opening two parter.
The opening two parter was amazing.
series 1 is my fave and i didn't really like series 5 too much
i should rewatch it all some time tho, maybe i didn't like 5 because of the whole 'everything is different' thing which pissed me off.
The episode where the Tardis gets its own personality in S6 was pretty good, but other than that and the first two, meh.

Seriously, that's like 99% perfect... There were only 1 or 2 spots where the different tracks could do with being blended a little, but otherwise it's almost impossible to tell the difference.
