Is it ever explained what [sp]The Moment is? Could be a Timelord.[/sp] unlikely, though.
http://tardis.wikia.com/wiki/The_Moment
Is that a chief scout gold award I see at the top there?
Nope, 50th Jubilee commemorative patch. Everyone got one. I was a shit scout.
So I am doing a Doctor Who Gauntlet, I am watching all of the original episodes. All 155 episodes, so far I have seen 4 (The Unearthly Child). And my god, I love the first doctor.
All 155 episodes
uh what aren't there like 700
uh what aren't there like 700
-snip- You are indeed right, I was only counting the serial.
-snip- You are indeed right, I was only counting the title of the episode set. For anyone wondering what a "episode set" is, due to my stupid way of wording it, I'll explain it. The Unearthly Child. Inside it is 4 episodes. The Daleks. Inside it is 7 episodes.
Or more commonly known as a Serial.
Or more commonly known as a Serial.
Thanks, I edited it.
http://tardis.wikia.com/wiki/The_Moment
Holy shit that's brutal. If you follow the de-mat gun link, it says that the eighth doctor experienced partial amnesia, and when the fourth used a de-mat in The Invasion of Time it erased his memories of the last few days. [sp] If the Moment was a modified version of a de-mat that could wipe out the Daleks, The Timelords and Gallifrey itself it'd have some serious repercussions. I could completely understand a huge loss of memory large enough for an entire regeneration to slip by unnoticed.[/sp]
Also I'm probably terribly late but I found this and it's pretty damn good
Yeah......., Rick Kelvington needs to refine his skills a bit.
I was under the impression that [sp]during the war, many timelords would be getting through several regenerations in a single battle, and that the Hurt doctor was one of these.[/sp]
Sure, but [sp]that doesn't explain how he forgot them so easily[/sp]
Sure, but [sp]that doesn't explain how he forgot them so easily[/sp]
Time war. Time lock. Wibbly-wobbly. I dunno.
Time war. Time lock. Wibbly-wobbly. I dunno.
Hence [sp]the explanation of the Moment giving amnesia. [/sp] Also, new trailer for Nightmare In Silver! For those that, somehow, don't realise: this contains spoilers. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7H-RB6qSUgc&feature=player_embedded
Does anyone know was with the "Thomas Thomas" GPS joke?
Explained a few pages back. Tom-Tom is a well-known brand of GPS navigators. [SUB]buy this product[/SUB]
Explained a few pages back. Tom-Tom is a well-known brand of GPS navigators. [SUB]buy this product[/SUB]
I know it's brand of GPS, why did they make the joke? [SUB] Will not buy this product.[/SUB]
I know it's brand of GPS, why did they make the joke? [SUB] Will not buy this product.[/SUB]
they have to have reasons to make jokes now
they have to have reasons to make jokes now
I think the main problem was just how out of place it was. It would be like if when Oswin burns the soufflé in Asylum of the Daleks, she turns to the camera and goes "so THAT'S the deal with airline food". And Gatiss missed the obvious sat-nav/ATMOS/Sontaran connection.
they have to have reasons to make jokes now
If it's a TV show -Yes
The Tom Tom joke was terrible and so out of place. Also the child was a bad actor

That's the best Regeneration remake I've ever seen. [editline]8th May 2013[/editline]
Also, can someone explain Hurt to me? Is he coming back to play as Hartnell?
People that have never been wrong and leak stuff say he's [sp]A forgotten 9th Doctor. Making Chris Eccleston into the 10th Doctor. David Tennant is the 11th Doctor. Matt Smith is the 12th Doctor. He was cast and written in after Chris dropped out. You'll be able to tell from his dialogue that his role was intended for Chris. He is the "time war" Doctor and apparently we will see flashbacks to The Time War to explain who he is. Any part in the special that was going to be 9 & Rose has been removed and replaced with just Rose. She has a small part yet one of her scenes involves a stunt double.[/sp] One source said it was Omega but that source revealed themselves to be a fake, just trying to annoy people. One person who is never wrong says [sp]Omega is 100% the main villain but John Hurt is not Omega. John Hurt is a forgotten Doctor[/sp] As for classic Doctors. The official word is they're not involved. People who have seen the anniversary script say they do not have any "returning actors". However Doctors 1-9 will appear using CGI and archive. In the last week or so reliable sources have revealed leading up to the special will be many prequels. They're being tight lipped as to what these prequels involve but the have said: [sp]- Classic Doctors will be involved in them. "maybe" all of them. - You will see Gallifrey on a viewing screen in The TARDIS[/sp] Also [sp]agents were contacted by the BBC about a major Sci-Fi role becoming available at the start of the year. Matt is the only actor to not confirm his return next year. Apparently Twelve has been cast for a while. A few of the names thrown about are all over 35. One is older than Hartnell.[/sp] And that is basically a spoiler summary from all the people who are very reliable and never wrong. Anything else you've heard is unlikely and probably proved wrong since. [editline]8th May 2013[/editline] Oh and here's one last thing about the finale. Note: It's a big spoiler. It's reliable. So it probably will be true. If you don't want it spoiled don't click. Trust me, it's good news and it's best to let it be a surprise. The precredits sequence of the finale: [sp]Montage of Doctor 1-7 being saved by Clara[/sp] I know what you're thinking. What about these rumours of Paul McgGann? [sp]He's in a special online episode. It will either be a prequel to the finale or used some time after[/sp] [editline]8th May 2013[/editline] Yes when I found out this news. My head exploded. SO EXCITED FOR THIS FINALE.
OMG WARWICK DAVIS <3<3<33333
By the way if you think that opening sequence news is too good to be true, here's what Jenna has to say:
Again, I’m teasing you so badly here, but there’s the beginning opening sequence, which [is] kind of building up into the 50th. It’s just huge.
Also journalists have all said the opening is amazing.
Wait, by precredits sequence I suppose you mean the first couple of minutes before the intro, right?
Yep. A second source has backed it up so consider it 100%. This is why Doctors 1-7 are not in the special ;) [sp]Nobody ever asked them them right question[/sp] Doctor 8 is [sp]in an online episode. I think it's the prequel to the finale but don't hold me to that[/sp] All The Doctors briefly appear in this weeks episode. Matt plays 4 different roles too, the speculation is [sp]when the Cyber-Doctor is created Matt starts speaking with the voices of past Doctors and adopts their mannerisms. Like in the flesh episode[/sp]. But that is just speculation.
Whoa. If that's just the OPENING SEQUENCE I sort of think this might be the best episode yet. I wonder how they'll pull it off. [sp]Archive footage?[/sp]
I wonder how they'll pull it off. [sp]Archive footage?[/sp]
Apparently so. Which is the reason one is not involved and getting a special "TARDISode" which will be a newly filmed sequence. Also one classic actor will appear as another character either in the finale, in the special, or at Christmas. [editline]8th May 2013[/editline] One more snippet and that's it: [sp]The guy that revealed all this didn't initially believe his source. He posted this all last night. He has since watched the pre-credits sequence and now believes his source entirely. The TARDISode is a prequel for the Anniversary special. In it The 8th Doctor is killed and regenerates. Into John Hurt[/sp]

Boy those spoilers are really tempting and exciting. Especially since you guys are saying that this is awesome.
