It counted because it makes sense. Remember all that regeneration energy that he was expelling? He didn't reabsorb it, did he? No. Thank you for being a fan, Moffat.
uh yeah, he didn't heal himself he got shot by a dalek lol
he used the regeneration energy to heal himself then siphoned the rest of it into the hand before the full regeneration process could complete...

I wonder if the thing about the first fifteen hours of his regeneration cycle (that allowed him to regrow his hand) applies to those partial regenerations too? In that case, all he'd need to carry around with him is a hatchet so he can lop off his hand if he's ever about to regenerate. :v:

It was called a "bio-matching receptacle." So he probably can't just gather up random body parts, eh? It's all in the dialogue.
I wanna take the time to bring back the Audition script for 12 because it's hilarious. http://metro.co.uk/2013/07/25/steven-moffat-reveals-doctor-who-audition-script-for-newest-time-lord-3898702/ I believe we posted it here first before Capaldi was chosen. Now read it with Capaldis voice in mind!
All of these taken out of context would just seem like Malcolm Tucker mocking someone
but he could have lopped off his hands and feet etc after the partial regeneration so he had loads of other matching body parts to do it with
there was daleks to beat, you think he'd have time to do that? and plus if he lops off too many hands and feet there's a chance that there will be even more human tennants and I think one is enough. especially as it could kill more humans if they touched it at all. or hell, all that radiation coming out of him can't be good. so many negatives.

Moffat 10 is great.
-snip-
Or are the other doctors just super un-vain? “I was trying to think about it from the point of view of what it would be like if someone told you, “When you wake up tomorrow morning, you’ll still be alive, but you won’t be the same. You will like different things, you will sound different, you will look different, and have a different temperament.” That would be utterly terrifying. “That would feel not like death, but something quite mortifying – you would be horrified by the idea of just being rewritten like that. I think that’s what contemplating regeneration must be like for the Doctor. So there’s an element of that, but because it was played that way the last time we wouldn’t play it the same way this time – that would just be wrong.” -Moffat Let's be honest - it'd feel extremely shitty to be thinking about being rewritten like that, and since 10 was probably the most human Doctor to date of course he's going to feel the worst about it. Be honest, you wouldn't want to regenerate, either, would you? If you could you'd do anything to stay as you - and that's where 10's human-ness comes through.

Well I mean, six didn't even film a proper regeneration scene - that's how much he didn't want to go. :v:

I wonder if he goes "Shame. Turns out I don't last after all."
I imagine it's depressing when the Doctor meets a future incarnation of himself. I wonder if he goes "Shame. Turns out I don't last after all."
I dunno, 10 seemed happy enough when he bumped into Jackson Lake, before he found out it wasn't a future incarnation of himself.
10 always knew he would inevitably regenerate. I guess it's reassuring to see he regenerates safely and is still a good person. Doesn't make the process of saying goodbye to your body and face any easier. Specially with his existing vanity issues.
It's hard to believe it's only ten days until Capaldi's first scenes.
Forty years ago today, Sarah Jane Smith appeared on our screens for the first time:
I hope when they bring the Daleks back for real they are more threatening. Like way back to The Parting of the Ways where they just clear an entire space station full of humans, most of whom are unarmed. Fucking brutal.
I just wish we could've had more episodes with Sarah Jane Smith, I would've loved to see 11 interact with her. Sucks she died
I would've loved to see 11 interact with her.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Death_of_the_Doctor :D But yeah, it is real sad that she did die. :(

Sucks she died
He did interact with her, in a story written no doubt when they learned how ill Liz was. Nicholas Courtney was also supposed to feature, but he was too ill. Courtney was supposed to feature in Doctor Who and SJA a few times but dropped out every time due to being ill. Somebody once told me Tom Baker was in talks to be The Doctor in an episode of SJA before she died. But I've found nothing about that online. The Moment should've flickered between various characters from The Doctor's life. But always slightly off. Could've had the classic Doctors and companions in.
Christmas songs can be creepy HIS CHIN
It's really weird seeing that regeneration scene without the proper music.

I see what they mean when they say Matt added a lot to the performance and was unpredictable.
Why do people try to sell a fanmade thing off as an official trailer/teaser of BBC? It always pisses me off.
At no point does it pretend to be an official trailer. Also before blasting such people, remember Grizz has made fanmade trailers too.
I think he just means that people should put "Fanmade" or something in the title. I kind of agree with him
Or viewers could read what the uploader has wrote in the video description :) People complain about "misleading" video titles all the time. But surely official videos and official trailers will be on the official channels and the official websites.
