When a video is embedded here do you always go and watch it on YouTube? I certainly don't. There's no channel info or descriptions via embed.
Then again, I don't really mind about the whole ordeal so it really matters if the people that do care do or not.
I do. I like to check the channel, description, and some comments. Does it even matter if you watch a fan made trailer? It'll have clips you've seen before anyway. If you're unaware it's fanmade it'll change nothing about how you view the episode.

& no, you don't have to go to YouTube. But at that point, you can't blame the creator of the video for misleading you as they didn't choose to embed it. If you don't check the description first, there is little room to criticize.
To take it to another level, there are the YouTube comments morons who have no forward thinking whatsoever. I've had many ALL CAPS complaints that I didn't make it clear enough that my cheap Star Trek / Stargate crossover was fanmade. Because somehow I would be the only person in the entire world to have a copy of it.

Let's blame facepunchers for being guillible
Went in a completely different direction to where I thought it would at the beginning, pretty neat
no actual confirmation that Ricky and Jake (was his name Jake?) were lovers so that could all be bollocks
still, quite depressing.

wasn't there a line of dialogue towards the end where jake specifically said that ricky was his boyfriend

i really don't remember, if there was i think i would. i really dislike RTD's shoehorning of gay characters so i'd probably remember a gay mickey.
i really don't remember, if there was i think i would. i really dislike RTD's shoehorning of gay characters so i'd probably remember a gay mickey.
What? I can think of like, one important character in Doctor Who that isn't straight. Maybe three if we count one off characters. None of them are really shoe-horned in.
Rumours persist that (recasting/returning character for s8 spoilers): [sp]David Morrissey has indeed been cast as The Master, as rumoured earlier in the year[/sp].
This would make me insanely happy. Surely Moffat hasn't come up with two genius bits of casting in one year?!
EDIT: I should note. He hasn't been cast. But a list of names exists and his name is on it.
oo that'd be quite good

dude, in the RTD era, it was weird if one of the characters in the episode wasnt gay

It could tie in with all that stuff about [sp]the Doctor's ability to take faces from his past, if the Master copied the face of someone the Doctor knew.[/sp]

Indeed. [sp]If The Doctor can do it, The Master can too. Where do the faces come from, I wonder? It seems one way or another The Master is returning.
I wonder how many of the names on The Master list are names who were once on The Doctor list. Somebody said (before Matt announced he was leaving) that Ben Daniels, Peter Capaldi, and David Threlfall were a few names on the list. All would make excellent Masters aswell as Doctors.[/sp]
I thought it was pretty obvious Moffat was [sp]bringing the Master back when he brought Gallifrey back. I hope Simm comes back for a regeneration scene. Maybe a two parter, where Part 1 he's Simm and regenerates at the end? [/sp]
dude, in the RTD era, it was weird if one of the characters in the episode wasnt gay
I could be totally wrong but I honestly don't remember that happening. I remember Jack, Alonso and that's about it.
spoilers in the same likeness as the above conversation
[sp]I don't understand the whole Master returns since Gallifrey is back thing. Didn't he leave BEFORE the timewar was over?[/sp]
^^
[sp]Jacobi Master escapes it but then comes full circle back into the war; Simm's Master gets dragged back into the last day of the Time War with Rassilon. [/sp]

oh shit, with Gallifrey back [sp] Rassilon and all of the other insane war mongering Timelords are back too. I wonder if Moffat'll use Rassilon? [/sp]
I could be totally wrong but I honestly don't remember that happening. I remember Jack, Alonso and that's it.
A lot of random supporting characters who's sexuality didn't need to be referenced at all. Like the elderly lesbian couple in Gridlock spring to mind.

I imagine [sp]The Master would've killed Rassilon upon getting back to Gallifrey. Then upon the realisation The Time War was not the end of Gallifrey afterall, either become president of Gallifrey, or try to escape back to reality[/sp]
They will probably ask the doctor to be president again for the nth time.
With the Silence being in the Christmas episode, I hope they find out the Doctor's name. Then this can explain how River knew his name without bringing her back.

Oh my god that would make my entire next year..
Morrissey was amazing as the Governor, he definitely has the strokes of an evil villain.
[editline]16th December 2013[/editline]
Also, why spoiler-tag it? We're not exactly spoiler-tagging Capaldi and that's been confirmed for a while and not just a rumor.

Because people don't want to know: [sp]The Master is returning. The Master is regenerating. Because that's been a spoiler around for a while[/sp]
Plus the difference between THIS and Capaldi is Capaldi is an official thing that is in public knowledge. This isn't.
Moffat is gonna make the [sp]duped face[/sp] thing a central plotpoint from the looks of it.
Moffat is gonna make the [sp]duped face[/sp] thing a central plotpoint from the looks of it.
Nah it'd be boring. It'll probably just be a one line explanation like (christmas spoilers)[sp]Tennant-Meta-Crisis counting as a regeneration[/sp] is going to be (that whole show changing plot point is apparently explained away in two words).
[editline]16th December 2013[/editline]
Another year, another year spent looking forward to Doctor Who more than Christmas day.
Haha, I know right? That being said us Dutch don't really celebrate Christmas as fanatically, but still. Looking forward to Christmas the most for the Doctor...

According to TARDIS wiki there is a deleted scene that says it.
A deleted scene available on the Series 2 box set has a scene from the end of The Age of Steel showing Mickey and Jake in the van, and when Mickey mentions how he may be different from Ricky, Jake mentions how Ricky was his boyfriend before he died, much to Mickey's shock.
That was a deleted scene
