It's like if Tim Burton did an animated version of Doctor Who.
Or if Klei made Doctor Who characters for Don't Starve then made them more "real".

What I heard. I've played it multiple times. I hear it every time. This is BEFORE he becomes Malcom Tucker?!
"BITCH I GOT MY CYBERMEN"
oh god dammit now I can't hear it as anything else
I find it weird that throughout series 5, he gets referred to as "The Doctor in the TARDIS" and how he "doesn't know".
Then in TPO he says "No, not me, the TARDIS and I'm not in the TARDIS, am I?"
Did this link to anything?

Makeup artist for Doctor Who.
Probably doing some promo shots of Capaldi in the costume. Possibly doing the odd scene at some point over the next few weeks before full production in January.
On this timescale, we could still be looking at an Easter special. Which explains the rumour saying we're getting a 12 episode series, because one of the 13 episodes next year is an Easter special.
I wouldn't get your hopes up for an Easter special. They'd have four months to make it, and that's excluding the fact that they also have to work on the other episodes.
Maybe a minisode though? I could see that happening.

Could be a minisode like we got with Tennant.
But Planet of the Dead was filmed in January and aired in April. Never give up hope.
I've just reached EP3 of Torchwood and Season 6 of Dr. Who. Any chance of meeting Jack Harkness again? Seems a shame to leave such an important character created from the time vortex.
I really hope they bring back the actual Torchwood organization somehow, it's much more interesting than UNIT.

Planet of the Dead wasn't that good though.
Planet of the Dead wasn't that good though.
It wasn't amazing, but it was okay.
Wasn't first episode worthy though.
Planet of the Dead wasn't that good though.
Not because of how long it took to film. It had a little longer than the average episode as it was filmed abroad and was a special.
It wasn't very good because it was just a dull story.

Torchwood is a poor man's modern-series UNIT that didn't work nearly as well as RTD hoped.
Not only did it take over UNIT duties, Jack was a clear stand in for The Brig in the modern series.
My prediction for the Christmas Special: [sp]The Doctor regenerates.[/sp]

Well, with Torchwood written into the ground with 3/5ths of its main cast dead and John Barrowman edgy about not being in the 50th but his Vortex Manipulator being so, maybe Jack could take up UNIT duties? Or would that be robbing spotlight from Kate and her crew?

Update from Outpost Skaro on all the stuff on Missing Episodes from various sources all across the internet:
This is a just a list of what we know and what is most likely to be true. I am aware that most of the missing episodes have been rumoured and will update the list in the next few days, this is just a rough draft to get started. As always none of this is 100% expect changes and don’t be surprised if some of this is way off.
Recovered episodes
Marco Polo – All
Daleks’ Master Plan – episode 11, 12 and possibly 7
The Massacre - All
Power of the Daleks – All
Underwater Menace – All
Moonbase – All
Macra Terror - All
Evil of the Daleks – All
Abominable Snowmen – All
Web of Fear – Episode 3
Wheel in Space – All
Web 3 has been found although don’t be surprised if it is still missing for DVD release in February, the same applies to Moonbase and Underwater Menace.
DMP 11 and 12 are stuck together and will require extensive work. Feast of Steven has been recovered via private collector and not Phil Morris.
Power of the Daleks has had a private screening; story has been recovered from multiple sources.
Abominable Snowmen requires extensive work and restoration.
Marco Polo is not buried in Venice but hiding on Itunes and is ready to go.
Invasion 1 & 4 probably not among any finds.
Number of missing episodes could be reduced to less than 10 by the end of all this.

It wasn't very good because it was just a dull story.
But what about Midnight? To me, it seemed pretty dull (similar to PotD with its static setting and being composed of mostly dialogue) but, I think, was well received?
Doctor Who has been all over TV and news this year. Plus the Missing Episode find was all over the news. Plus there's a lot of nostalgia for old TV thanks to the 50th.
It seems a lot of collectors have dug deep and found episodes.

Don't confuse simple and dull. Midnight was a very simple premise but executed gloriously in the writing, direction, and performance.
Planet of the Dead was just dull. Special effects and flash story devices can't hold up a plot which is still boring and uninspired. It just didn't warrant being 60 minutes long.

Makes sense. It had much more potential than it was executed with.

It's the first sign of the Twelfth Doctor.
To the discussion on the previous page, I much much much prefer UNIT. Torchwood didn't work at all for me.
Last year, I went to see the coloured version of Mind Of Evil. Terrence Dicks was there, but I had to get the bus so I couldn't get my picture with him. Wish I had my novelisation of The Krotons on hand, would have had it signed.
I'll have to watch Torchwood I think, I've never even seen so much as a trailer of it. As I understand, it sort of interweaves with Doctor Who a bit right? Like the Doc shows up on Torchwood sometimes... Has anyone made a little shortlist of how Torchwood aired in relation to Doctor Who, for continuity's sake? I'd just like to be able to quickly fire up an old Doctor Who ep to catch a few details that might be relevant in an episode of Torchwood I'm watching, if that's even necessary.
Cheers

The most Torchwood gets close to Who includes a "Cyberwoman" episodem, Jack having Ten's spare hand and consequently leading its Series 1 finale into "Utopia", brief mentions of the Doctor afterwards, and Martha showing up for a bit in Series 2.
