And on a note completely unrelated to Torchwood, I was always annoyed at the redesign of the Silurians and the loss of the third eye in exchange for a poisonous tongue that was only used once.

The Sea Devils tie-in with the Silurians and the matters of mask reuse in that one 5th Doctor story where they all died left the door open for Sliurian species variation, but yeah, the new series might've gone a bit too far with redesigning them for humanization.
Dunno about the third eye, but perhaps they could've merged the look they chose for their masks into their facial features? Would've looked nice, and if they keep insisting on bringing out Silurian troops in masks for monster appearences...

Given how much time we have seen him to have so far for fans - Capaldi has no need to earn [I]magnificent bastard[/I] status.
The amount of time he spends with fans will likely drop when filming begins properly. At the moment he has the luxury of being known as the doctor without actually [I]being[/I] the doctor.
I think he'll always have time.
He always made time for Malcom Tucker fans wanting him to phone their friends and swear at them. He reads his own fanmail and responds to it himself (instead of having his agent do it like everybody else). I don't think he'll ever be like the last two Doctors who (understandably) would wear sunglasses, headphones and hats on the tube to avoid fans.

If you send him a lovely letter he may send one back. He may also draw you a picture or put his art skill to a good use. He usually does that if you send him a drawing or a present. He sent one girl a birthday card (she mentioned she's the exact same age as Doctor Who so he drew her some pictures, signed a bunch of pictures, and wrote her a letter for her birthday).
Make sure you include an envelope with a postage stamp with your letter. Otherwise he has to pay for the envelope and postage and he probably doesn't want to do that for thousands of people.

Moonbase hasn't been found.. officially. "A reconstructed/animated episode is coming to DVD" probably gets the message across quicker.
