Boring episode, Moffet is starting to run out of idea's, it felt rushed
I'm really trying to like Capaldi... hasn't happened yet. Really don't know what you guys see in him. Good episode though, was absolutely balling my eyes out for the last 20 minutes, and as you say the long song topped it off. Still not passing judgement though, will give him a chance.
Also I enjoyed the episode, it hit my emotions.
doesn't age in 400 years since 10, gets wrinkles after another 300, wat.
I think since it was meant to be his actual death he started actually aging. Or he just died prematurely every time.
Do you happen to know how to fly this thing?
The ending felt so rushed! All the rest was pretty good, except for [sp]magical regeneration laser beam killing all daleks[/sp]
-snip- worst link ever
[sp]Just one fucking question, babe. Do you have any fucking idea how to fly this piece of shit? [/sp]
Where was Rory, or River Song at the end. If you're gonna have Amy, then why not at least Rory. But it was good, not amazing
Because Rory wasn't the first face Matt Smith doctor saw
I enjoyed the episode, interesting to see how the silence came about, and how they got in about how no one can speak falsely when the question is asked, what with the truth field. Strangely enough though, everyone else is the house didn't understand any of the plot, and they didn't enjoy a single bit of it because they thought it was complete nonsense that didn't make any sense. Oh well, you can't please everyone.
doesn't age in 400 years since 10, gets wrinkles after another 300, wat.
A Timelord with two hearts just regenerated into another Timelord with two hearts - and you're worrying that he's aged wrong? OK then
Capaldi actually kinda reminds me of an older David Tennant, especially when he said "don't know the colour."
I'll agree with everyone else, the episode felt really rushed. It felt so weird when they went from [sp]ongoing story to narrated overview... [/sp]I mean, I liked the story and all, but still. Bit rushed. And as for that, [sp]what about Trenzalore? We saw that the whole planet got singed in the flames. I'll assume his future was changed and the original plans was for him to actually die at Trenzalore?[/sp] The [sp]cracks returning was great. I liked their purpose. But are they truly gone now? Did the Timelords just say "Fuck it", gave him a new regeneration cycle and stayed in their alternate universe? That's nice of them, I guess.[/sp] Telling us how [sp]the TARDIS exploded was neat. Didn't really need a long and dramatic explanation since it was such a basic and "Oh, well okay" kind of thing. Even 11 didn't think much of it seemingly.[/sp] As for the regeneration itself, [sp]I think it went swimmingly! He got a grand (if a bit short) speech, had an explosive, amazing regeneration. A nice farewell to the first person he ever saw as 11. The last bit was a bit brief, but looks are probably a bit further down the list in priorities when it comes to regenerations, so it probably didn't need a very long time. I thought it was nice, and hell, it caught me off guard and suddenly I was all jumpy and happy... like a kid at Christmas, one might say![/sp] 8/10 episode. 2 points deducted for rushed story. Now - how long until Series 8?
he said he didn't like the colour.
Because Rory wasn't the first face Matt Smith doctor saw
Was still an important character, would've been nice to see him too, and where's my FAN SERVICE (im joking).
The ending felt so rushed! All the rest was pretty good, except for [sp]magical regeneration laser beam killing all daleks[/sp]
[sp]It has been shown before that the energy given off by a timelord regenerating is immense, so I don't think it was that far-fetched.[/sp]
they should have made Matt Smith's death a bit more sad, it felt too rushed for me, it was a good episode but not a great one like it should have been
I did say some time ago that the leaked synopsis shouldn't have been the way Matt went out. [sp]So I was pleased that the final TARDIS scene had been omitted from such details. The 11-12 tease was brilliant.[/sp] But unfortunately it still seemed too messy. In his final scene, The Eleventh Doctor was suddenly reading from a script. The lines just didn't seem to gel for me. [sp]The Amy cameo felt fitting and random at the same time. Then the blink-of-an-eye transformation. [/sp] Moffat's Era, three years of storylines and a universe of unanswered questions were summed up in a few lines dotted throughout. I would say that I enjoyed most of it - but it was a classic Moffat episode. Too much time in so little time - I don't feel like I just watched a regeneration, which is disappointing. I probably would have preferred scene number one, after all.
I, for one, loved that episode. Explained everything. Sure, some explanations were very abrupt and kinda like "Oh... that's it?" but they made sense. They couldn't have had long explanations for everything, it would have been very tiresome. It was a great send-off for Matt's Doctor. Being friendly as he always is, saving people as he always does. The only thing I didn't like was the regeneration itself. The speech beforehand was brilliant, and seeing [sp]Amy one last time really did work in my opinion. The first person he met as the Eleventh Doctor. Brought everything full-circle.[/sp] And the music was brilliant. The entire episode had brilliant music actually. BUT, I wish we could have had an in-between for Matt and Capaldi. It was too quick, it was just "BAM CAPALDI" and the end was a bit too loud and brash. Soured the moment just a bit. Still overall, a brilliant episode. Was pretty much what it needed to be.
The entire episode was disappointing and felt rushed. I had quite a few problems with it: [sp]-The crack coming back out of nowhere just seemed like it was shoved in randomly to link it to the previous series. -The fix to the Regen limit just came out of pretty much nowhere and just happened to solve all the other problems. -The Doctor aged in a few hundred years despite not aging at all over the much longer time of this incarnation. -The Silence plot from previous episodes was just thrown away, i thought the whole point of the silence was to stop the question from ever being asked, which was why they tried to kill him previously, but it seems the question doesn't even get asked anyway. -The ship from the lodger still isn't explained. -The Capaldi regen was far too fast. -Amy felt shoved in randomly. -There was also a lack of the hologram in TARDIS announcing doctors imminent death. [/sp]
Things I loved: -Senile Doctor suddenly becoming bouncy and young again when he got another regeneration cycle - Capaldi's first lines. He's proper mental. - Amy appearing in the TARDIS. Set me off crying. - Seems like Moffat's setting up a family situation for Clara, which is great - THE LONG SONG Things I didn't love: - Amelia in the TARDIS was obviously not Amelia - It was rushed and the enemies were crammed in - Didn't like how the Doctor had to explain what all the enemies were to Clara - Cracks and TARDIS explosion being explained in one line. HOW did Kovarian blow up the TARDIS?
The Good -Most things not listed in the bad The Bad -Clara's reaction to the Doctor ageing was almost non-existent -Plot lines were wrapped up a bit too quick for my taste (but considering how many there were it's not a huge complaint) -The actual change was too abrupt, in my opinion -The story felt a bit like a checklist
[sp]Just one fucking question, babe. Do you have any fucking idea how to fly this piece of shit? [/sp]
When we first saw Capaldi he looked pissed. I was waiting him to call Clara a fucking cunt or something

I really liked the dialogue and Matt Smith was amazing, also liked the cameo from Amy.
yeah definitely amelia :v: is she even ginger?
Remember when I asked if 12 could beat "Legs! I've still got legs!" as a first line? The answer was yes.
