Plot lines are answered. Quickly - but it mostly makes sense. However, it clearly wasn't a grand plan.

The rest of the episode has proven diversive. I enjoyed it - but would have liked it much, much more if it didn't have to answer so many questions.

Yeah, it's far too iconic to use it as a new filming location. The shot of Clara running down the stairs seemed to be intentionally evocative of Rose. It was the same filming location, many thought they were filming Rose content.
Apparently Series 8 has a lot of throwbacks to past episodes from the Nu and Classic series (subtle continuation of the 50th celebrations). I think this is probably one of them.
That's also how I explain away the lazy re-use of the Titanic horn.
I've watched the "COME AND GET IT" scene too many times already :(
@CoolCorky - I almost forgot. The line of dialogue I said you may have liked before the episode wasn't even in there. There was supposedly a line about how the Easter Island statues were made to look like 11 - because 'they liked him' :v: Maybe it was cut - since the place was still mentioned.
