Does anyone know if music from the sontaran episodes in series 4 was used in Portal 2? I swear I've heard this track (at least part of it) somewhere in Portal 2.
No, it just happens to share the same orchestration and arrangment of Portal 2's soundtrack.
Clara Oswald is just some average girl from London. The Doctor goes looking for her and finds her, she starts travelling with him and eventually jumps into his time stream to save his life. This is where she splinters into loads of other people who all save the Doctor's life in some way - Oswin Oswald in Asylum of the Daleks and Clara from The Snowmen are the two that 11 meet before he decides to go looking for her.

It was pretty simple. She jumped in The Doctors timeline to save him from The Great Intelligence. It split her off into identical copies and scattered them across his life. She met all The Doctors. Though he managed to never notice her until his Eleventh.
Ahhh yes, now all of the memories come flooding back. Thanks guys, I must look like a complete TARD(is) to you lot by now... I used to devote my time to my TV shows and movies, always knew everything off the top of my head, but life just gets in the way now :(
I stand bested

Is it true that the series won't be back until November? That a bit long to wait for a conclusion.
If there's one thing I dislike about the production side of Moffat's run, it's the one-season-for-the-price-of-two scheduling.
Is it true that the series won't be back until November? That a bit long to wait for a conclusion.
August / September supposedly
Time of The Doctor is heading towards a final figure of just shy of 11.1m
August / September supposedly
Why. Why could we get a perfectly good season every year during the 9-10 run, and now we get these massive breaks every five episodes?
These breaks are ruining the show IMO. I could understand if they did the show biweekly but these massive breaks in between a few episodes is killing my interest in the show as I have to keep going back to remember what the hell is going on.
I want to know what the hell they're doing that requires these massive breaks every few episodes. If it's Moffat's "it's not dramatic if there isn't a ton of cgi, space-ships, and explosions" thing then throw the man out faster.
Is it true that the series won't be back until November? That a bit long to wait for a conclusion.
They start filming January so it'll probably make August/September. November would be far too late to do 13 episodes before Christmas, specially as Series 8 won't be split. They've just been too busy with the 50th/Christmas production and marketing. There was really no way to avoid it. It's probably for the best anyway. [editline]2nd January 2014[/editline]
Why. Why could we get a perfectly good season every year during the 9-10 run, and now we get these massive breaks every five episodes?
There is no Series 8 break. Series 6 had a break so Moffat could have the mid series reveal. But it was still within the same year. Series 7 split was apparently not his decision. I'd speculate it came down to the fact we'd have had no Doctor Who during 2013 without that split (other than the anniversary and Christmas specials). It's also worth noting Matt only signed on for three series. He'd have been gone last year if the entire thing was broadcast then. Anniversary and Christmas really fall in as "Series 7 specials". How messy would the 50th have been introducing a freshly regenerated Doctor?
Why.
Time of The Doctor finished filming in October. Not including post-production, they then had to promote the 50th and do all the extra bits for that. Then it's Christmas. Filming for Series 8 is starting at the earliest possible time with a new lead actor. [editline]2nd January 2014[/editline]
Time of The Doctor is heading towards a final figure of just shy of 11.1m
Surpassed! The Christmas Invasion - 9.84m The Runaway Bride - 9.35m Voyage of the Damned - 13.31m The Next Doctor - 13.10m The End of Time Part 1 - 12.04m The End of Time Part 2 - 12.27m A Christmas Carol - 12.11m The Doctor, the Widow and the Wardrobe - 10.77m The Snowmen - 9.87m The Time of the Doctor - 11.14m
Odd that voyage of the damned rated more, no idea why [editline]3rd January 2014[/editline] probably because kylie minogue
Odd that voyage of the damned rated more, no idea why [editline]3rd January 2014[/editline] probably because kylie minogue
There was also fuck all else on
and never talking to me on steam anymore :v:
sorry man, im barely ever on steam now. i'll be back on next week when I can't go out every night!
Odd that voyage of the damned rated more, no idea why [editline]3rd January 2014[/editline] probably because kylie minogue
Because more people watched Christmas specials than normal episodes (I knew people in my class who only watched Christmas specials) and it was in that time where David Tennant could've farted and millions would've swarmed to watch it. There was less DVRs and people genuinely considered it event TV so most watched it live anyway.
I do believe Time of The Doctor is the most time-shifted episode of Doctor Who?
I do believe Time of The Doctor is the most time-shifted episode of Doctor Who?
The Sound of Drums? :v:
The Sound of Drums? :v:
Not even close if I'm looking at the right figures.
Something interesting I read on the wiki:
The Twelfth Doctor and the First Doctor both started out on Doctor Who as relatively aged Doctors, have school teachers from Coal Hill School as companions, and don’t know how to fly the TARDIS.
I already pointed that out :( Pointed out that both One & Twelve are trying to get "home" too. But he hasn't forgotten how to fly the TARDIS. He was flying it just before he regenerated. It's the post-regeneration memory loss that has caused him to forget how to fly the TARDIS. He's also forgotten it's called The TARDIS. He's also forgotten who Clara is (hence asking her how to fly it when he should know she wouldn't know).
Gareth Roberts is supposedly back. http://www.cultbox.co.uk/news/headlines/8828-doctor-who-writer-gareth-roberts-returning-for-series-8 Tom Baker on 50th
After a while the time passed as I knew it would, but it dragged its feet. Finally people began to arrive and I was called to costume and make-up and finally to the set. In the old days I knew everybody, or nearly everybody, the technicians and make-up people and all the other actors: I was at home in those long gone times. My gloom was lifted by the arrival of Matt Smith who welcomed me so enthusiastically that I began to think life was worthwhile.
Link
Woo, love love Gareth Roberts. The Lodger is one of my favourite 11 stories for how 11 he is.
lodger writer back, A+ would watch again
I loved both The Lodger and Closing Time both fantastic episodes and craig was definitely one of those well written twice-off characters
I really want more Craig and Stormie.
Watched the Lodger earlier today, I love it!
Really want to see 12 meet Wilf now.
