I like the books, it's a nice way to say "yeah, they had tons of other adventures off-screen".
Also, I hope that Moffat drops the "I AM THE DOCTOR I HAVE DONE LOTS OF IMPRESSIVE THINGS DID I MENTION THAT I AM THE DOCTOR" thing. Works well the first time, not so much if he gets doing it.

I hope they dissipate quickly.

I am definitely interested to hear what people think of the costume though. I think some people are gonna adore it and some people might be disappointed.
I'll admit that [sp]charcoal victorian[/sp] is utterly predictable and uninteresting as a choice. But Capaldi will look fine in it and it'll match this incoming "darker" Doctor.
I sort of want it to have a scarf and cape too as Capaldi looks marvellous in them. Maybe scarf or cape to add a dash of colour? Red? I'd really like a dash of red.
