thats what i meant, whats stopping them from getting the license
Legal garb, if anything. Considering the last New-Who licence holder AudioGo went under, the rights should be up in the air. Big Finish just has to hurry up and put a plan together. Which probably isn't as simple as it looks considering doing New-Who's actors are most definitely more difficult to get a hold of for hire and recording compared to the Classic Who entourage.

Our first look at Capaldi's 'funny run' :v:
Has anyone noticed that a lot of the aliens on Doctor Who, act like humans from the future rather than people who are completely foreign. I mean the timelords, sontarans, cyberman and daleks behave in a very human way. Is this sort of the style of the Doctor Who world?
Well, they are usually played by humans, and I think that was originally the reason for that happening, now it just happens as an effect of that heritage of cheesy effects. And the Daleks are sorta based on the nazis, otherwise I wouldn't call the particularly human.
I don't mean the costumes, I mean the aliens talk and behave in a human way as opposed to a foreign less understandable way . The way the Daleks plan things seems human-ish, the Timelords are very Roman. I don't think either of them seem that Alien at all. I can understand the Silurians as they're from the same planet, but it's interesting that all others seem like human descendants from parallel futures.
please stop tagging series 8 filming stuff please
not all of us want to be spoiled with the little things like [sp] the same screwdriver and filming vids [/sp]
this is the sort of stuff you'll find out in trailers anyway

I guess we're going to get more of the same goofy "scanny, wavy, followly" tripe we've been getting this last number of years. Don't get me wrong, I'm fine with having the sonic screwdriver in the show if it's used sparingly and appropriately, treating it like a "sonic wand" is what I'm against.
Even when the sonic screwdriver should be used, Moffat & Co use it in entirely the wrong way. An example of where it was fine to use it, but the execution was awful was opening the door in The Rings of Akhaten (TBH, the quality of that episode was so poor that opening the door with the sonic screwdriver was the least of its problems). Why not just simply unlock the door with it, if they needed to get out again quickly then have the action of unlocking the door trigger a timer or something? That way the drama feels more believable and less forced. A good example of its use relating to doors is the doctor trying to release rose from the observation room in The End of The World, the system was actually fighting back by negating the effects of the sonic screwdriver, I haven't felt suspense like that in the entire Moffat era.

All this because he has a sonic?
All this because he has a sonic?
I'm going by the image where he appears to be holding it in a magic wand pose and the video where he's following and "reading it", just screams more of the same to me.
doesn't seem like the sonic is being used much this season anyway, I mean this is the first we've seen of it so far over like five episode's worth of filming outdoors, right?

If you visit this thread there's a risk of mild spoilers - although people are generally very good about making access to spoilers optional. I've altered the title to reflect this.
Now the title is all bland and boring
Well that Harkness wallpaper seals it as him being the actual Face of Boe
There was any doubt about that?
