Jack being the Face of Boe always annoyed me he's a fixed point in time, meaning he should never change, not even a little bit. He should never gain weight, never get a grey hair etc. Him turning into a giant head is just stupid.

When you think about it, we’re all different people all through our lives. And that’s okay. That’s good. You gotta keep moving, so long as you remember all the people that you used to be.
...... i think the Doctor was talking metaphorically there dude Jack is physically a fixed point in time. 10 went through this in Utopia.

Rose and the Doctor aren't the only ones who can snort the time vortex and do what they want.
snort the time vortex
do I need to bring that picture out again okay then

Thus potential Face of Boe.
It's from "Last of the Time Lords" actually. You could say Jack is a fixed point of very slowly ageing time.
listen to the line again, he says it very sarcastically. he was joking around because of how long he had already lived
listen to the line again, he says it very sarcastically. he was joking around because of how long he had already lived
Feels more like Barrowman playing the lines for laughs than Jack joking around(IMHO(and I presume you're talking about the grey hair lines)). Jack did grow up on the Boeshane Peninsula. The connection isn't cemented though, you can read it either way. Just like with the Woman from End of Time. RTD refers to her as the Doctor's mother in a commentary but since it was never stated on screen she can be anyone you want her to be.

Could be wrong but isn't that what they put in the exterior TARDIS prop to make it seem like it's actually bigger on the inside?
Yeah, and it really baffles me why they couldn't have done that in the classic series. It can't have been that expensive to make and it would have made the exterior shots look so much more believable.
Could be wrong but isn't that what they put in the exterior TARDIS prop to make it seem like it's actually bigger on the inside?
I'm mainly referring to it being one with an orange core instead of it's usual colour. I really don't understand why they don't just put a green or otherwise key-able lining on the inside of the TARDIS so they can get a much more believable view of the interior.
I really don't understand why they don't just put a green or otherwise key-able lining on the inside of the TARDIS so they can get a much more believable view of the interior.
My guess is keyframing a TARDIS interior for every shot with the doors open (which is often not much longer than a couple of seconds) would be a drain on the effects budget, when the method of putting a picture inside the prop works perfectly well.
I remember that episode, end of season 5 maybe? Anyway, where it's Amy's wedding and they all remember the doctor. When he shows up and pops his head out of the TARDIS, there's all this scaffolding and shit behind him... so lazy. Can't believe they didn't think "Hey, won't someone see this when we PUT IT ON CAMERA".

The picture does the job fine, keying a matte painting or something would involve camera tracking the shot then a lot of compositing and rotoscoping around the actors bodies. You're talking a few thousand pounds at least.
hey it pays you well ace.

No Capaldi on the board, it's outdated merchandise :v:
I'm imagining a whole party chanting, "Daleks conquer and destroy! Daleks conquer and destroy!"
If Moffat once again decides that they can 'do better' for the opening scene of a new Doctor - that's fine by me.
I can't tell if that's sarcasm or not. Personally I enjoyed the opening scene for its sheer randomness. Eleventh Hour is terrible for new viewers but amazing for those who've started with Rose(From my own Who evangelism experience).
It wasn't sarcasm :v: I have never been excited for a new episode than when that preview clip was released.
okay so the Doctor mentioned (in Day Of The Moon) that the faux-TARDIS in Aickman Road (The Lodger)was abandoned and that no one was there even though we saw the pilot and the emergency protocol but once he saw the pilot he looked away and never mentioned it. i know we were speculating that due to amy's reaction (which very well could have been bad acting) there was a silence on board the TARDIS but doesn't that kind of confirm it since he forgot about the body being there, the body had four fingers, the Silents have an almost identical ship as well as amy's reaction? just spitballing here.
Sean Pertwee, son of the legendary Jon Pertwee, has shared some thoughts on Peter Capaldi, revealing that his late father was fond of the new Doctor. Pertwee told the PA: “My father was very fond of Peter and Peter is an extremely lovely gentleman. He was very kind to my family when my father passed away.”
http://www.doctorwhotv.co.uk/sean-pertwee-my-father-was-very-fond-of-capaldi-62084.htm
Kate O'Mara has passed away, aged 74. http://www.digitalspy.co.uk/showbiz/news/a561066/doctor-who-and-dynasty-actress-kate-omara-dies-aged-74.html
I always thought she was great as The Rani.
