Slightly doctor who related, but I've spent about three hours playing this game, to the point where I blinked and saw two tiny Troughton tiles next to one another. I pass the curse on to you all. http://games.usvsth3m.com/2048-doctor-who-edition/
Ramsay Snow off Game of Thrones reminds me a bit of Matt Smith, sort of similar face but their voices seem cannily alike :v: Maybe he'd make a good master EDIT: No joke he's like an evil Matt Smith
The Name of the Doctor, The Day of the Doctor and The Five(ish) Doctors Reboot have all been nominated for this year’s Hugo Awards. All three have been nominated in the ‘Best Dramatic Presentation, Short Form’ category and the winners will be announced on 17 August at the 2014 Hugo Awards ceremony. The Name of the Doctor was written by Steven Moffat and directed by Saul Metzstein and The Day of the Doctor, also penned by Steven Moffat, was directed by Nick Hurran. The Five(ish) Doctors Reboot was written and directed by Peter Davison and featured a number of well-known faces from the world of Doctor Who including Steven Moffat, several former Doctors and Jenna Coleman. Commenting on the nominations, Doctor Who’s head writer and executive producer, Steven Moffat, said, ‘For Doctor Who to receive three Hugo nominations in its anniversary year is completely thrilling. We are all over the moon. I’m particularly pleased about The Five(ish) Doctors Reboot as that was my acting debut. I remain available for any parts requiring a black jumper and slightly unrealistic hair.’ We’re also delighted that An Adventure in Space and Time – the one-off drama written by Mark Gatiss that examined the origins of Doctor Who - also received a nomination in the ‘Best Dramatic Presentation, Short Form’ category. And ‘The Girl Who Loved Doctor Who’, written by Paul Cornell and illustrated by Jimmy Broxton, was nominated in the Best Graphic Story field. The prestigious Hugo Awards, presented annually since 1955, are named after Hugo Gernsback, founder of the influential science fiction magazine, Amazing Stories. Best of luck to all this year’s nominees!
Hooray.
Hey guys. Remember the Eccleston craze. That was fun.
Mark my Words, Eccleston will Return to Doctor Who
That would be, Fantastic.
i just had a really messed up dream that involved ancient china, destruction abound and a while lot of timey wimey shenanigans involving clara, ten and an amnesiac eleven. you know how clara was supposed to appear in every point in time to save the doctor? well she couldn't do it here. she couldn't do it here forever and so in this one point in time, the tardis gets dematerialised and clara can only stand there in tears and it keeps happening no matter what changes in the past or future. until ten appears in the time line and drags an amnesiac eleven into his tardis and goes back in time and appears behind clara and pulls her inside because the lynchpin of this problem was that someone died that they (clara and twelve) were supposed to save and they didn't but then ten and eleven saved them but only by eleven sacrificing his own regenerative energy and i quote my dream ("hello clara, ate some bad food on the way, hope you don't mind") and so eleven was dead to all readings but still alive somehow and then the person they were supposed to save who may or may not have been a chinese empress walked down the steps and then i woke up the threads of my dream slip through my memory but this could still be a coherent story [editline]20th April 2014[/editline] i just remembered something else, eleven had a brooch with some important words with it and he told ten to move the tardis 10 meters south that way and that was crucial to their success. also of note was eleven remarking about how cold his hot water pillow was and ten pointing out that it was in fact a cold water pillow.
hello everyone, posting from my new home in Canada. Doctor Who is super popular here - even in Montreal which has a largely French-speaking population.
Hey guys. Remember the Eccleston craze. That was fun.
it never ended as far as i'm concerned
hello everyone, posting from my new home in Canada. Doctor Who is super popular here - even in Montreal which has a largely French-speaking population.
Glad you're settling in well mate :) [t]http://i.imgur.com/AIoIDgQ.jpg[/t] Happy Easter, everyone!
I didn't get anything doctor who themed, but it was British themed. [t]http://i.minus.com/iezp7EZJtLD1E.JPG[/t]
Just found this piece on developing Clara's character in light of a few 'common' complaints. http://www.cultbox.co.uk/features/opinion/doctor-who-how-do-you-solve-a-problem-like-clara
“When I looked back on her [in Series 7], I thought she was much more fun when she was the governess trying to be the barmaid”. - Steven Moffat
no moffat, she wasn't "much more fun", she actually had a character then.
no moffat, she wasn't "much more fun", she actually had a character then.
I don't think having a character and being fun are mutually exclusive :v:
I don't think having a character and being fun are mutually exclusive :v:
i was making a joke about how she doesnt have a character in s7pt2
i was making a joke about how she doesnt have a character in s7pt2
...and it was one of your best. I was commenting on how much more fun she was when she did.
I just rewatched "The Waters of Mars". It is such a great episode, it's basicly one of those "Doctor Who at it's best" moments, and thus one of my top favorite episodes of Doctor Who.
I remember someone on facepunch saying it was their first time seeing Doctor Who and thought it was the worst thing he'd ever seen.
Apparently Robert Shearman is finally considering a return to Doctor Who :) http://www.chichester.co.uk/news/local/doctor-who-writer-meets-chichester-students-1-6005170 *** Remember how happy I was that my ToTD Alternate Ending had received 100 views? 115,942.
I would love Shearman to return, I'd be so happy.
Very 12 look for Capaldi in this http://www.theguardian.com/artanddesign/video/2014/apr/23/peter-capaldi-surrealist-art-sex-video
From Doctor Who TV
Evidence is mounting that Peter Harness – writer of Wallander, Case Histories and the upcoming BBC adaptation of Jonathan Strange & Mr Norrell – is working on a script for the show. It is unclear whether this will definitely make to Series 8. As we know from the past, scripts are prone to being shifted about. Harness is a fan of the show. In a past interview he stated that he considered 2005′s The Parting of the Ways the “perfect end to what is I think the definitive series of Doctor Who.”
All this talk of series one is making me giddy!
Shall we see Steven Moffat meeting Julie Walters again. Because it's random. Oh Peter. "Well Steven was more in awe of her than I was!"
Love how every episode of that blind watch that guy does resorts to: I can't wait to see what happens.. hehehe *DOCTOR WHO INTRO THEME TUNE* OH NO, MUTE, MUTE MUUUUTE :v:
Love how every episode of that blind watch that guy does resorts to: I can't wait to see what happens.. hehehe *DOCTOR WHO INTRO THEME TUNE* OH NO, MUTE, MUTE MUUUUTE :v:
He stops doing that at series 2. Also, the Love and Monsters reaction, is the best.
Watching the blind watchthrough, just realised the tenth doctor says "you've had some cowboys in here" in "the girl in the fireplace", same line as the eleventh doctor uses in his first episode. EDIT: Oh wow, "The Girl in the fireplace" is quite similar to "The Eleventh Hour". As well as the same line, both Amy and Reinette are young when they meet the Doctor and regard him as an "imaginary character/friend". They both have a monster in their bedroom. The eye camera thing on the ship is a bit like the Atraxi one. The Doctor kept returning back and forth as time passed much quicker for the girl. Then at the end, both characters are told to pack a bag ready to travel with the Doctor, only for the Doctor to overshoot it on his return. I guess they must have based it on Girl in the fireplace in some way, it was one of the best episodes though.
wow i've never thought about that moffat confirmed for hack
it's funny watching the stolen earth/journey's end ones in the blind watchthrough since he doesn't know that david was still signed up to do the four specials, so he believes david is totally gone at the end of stolen earth :v:
